Great local kids' bookshop. They have unique programs for kids and even a personalized subscription box offering where they send age appropriate books and toys to your house. A Grand Avenue institution!

The staff here is amazing. My husband and I splurge on a new book every Christmas for ourselves, and we take turns looking while the other watches our kids. The staff made sure we were okay and made us feel comfortable hanging out in the children's section while the other shopped. They definitely made us feel welcomed. Can't wait to go back.

The best bookshop for kids and adults! The librarians really care about the books they bring to their readers. They will help search out a long-lost story and are passionate about great suggestions. Consider getting gifts and good reads from this fabulous place!

Not a lot I can say that hasn't been said, obviously a wonderful shop. We're recently moved to StP from Mpls and it's like WR with maybe not as many books and more toys/gifts. Few helpful tips:

- Parking in rear. Can park in the large lot for that area or their own small lot right behind the store. That's where pick up orders are held or you can walk the little path to the right to the front to go in.

- They have a lot besides books: toys and gifts. I found some cute stocking stuffers. But if you're bringing small kids be prepared for them to likely be totally distracted by the toys and barely interested in the books.

- Plenty of staff to get help with suggestions and we had no wait time for checking out on a busy Saturday.

-MSRP on books, so please support places like this instead of giant online retailers! They have a free points club where you get something after $100 spent, I missed what it was though...

It is a beautiful bookstore. They used the space they have to provide a wide selection for children and teens.

Such a neat store! So many great books both classic and new! Super friendly and helpful staff! Wish I could have bought all of the fun books I found. Would deffenetly come back.

Very cute space, kind and friendly employees. Excellent selection of children's books, which I didn't realize is and/or seems to be their focus as a shop. I'd go elsewhere for your adult fiction/non-fiction desires, but perfect for kid/YA.

Loved this book store!

Popped in just to check it out but ended up wanting to buy almost everything on hand. With great options for kids and adults, the shop is rooted in wanting to tell the stories of many, diverse people.

They have great events at the store itself and also post what's happening around the cities. Ended up buying these adorable Yay! magnets and will probably go back to buy more. This place is great.

This is such a cool bookstore! I had no idea it existed until my fiancee took me there today. I could easily go into debt here. We managed to restrain ourselves and leave with a gift for our niece. But we'll be back.

It's great to walk along and sample the shops of Grand Avenue, and for your children and YA readers, this is a treat. Great staff can help you find the tomes for your younger readers, and if you sign up for their birthday club you (your child, not you) will get a $3 off coupon every year. Their basement has a clearance section too.

Sweet local bookstore in St. Paul with a nice selection of kids books, games, and other creative things. Staff is friendly. My kiddo isn't old enough to have book preferences yet but I look forward to returning throughout the years as their reading develops ☺

Amazing bookstore and customer service!! I ordered a book online to be sent to a 2-year-old, and they wrapped it so beautifully and shipped it out with my note for him. They really go above and beyond. And they have a great selection of books in store or online.

What a lovely shop! It's well-stocked with books for all ages, ranging from classics to contemporary favorites. Unlike some stores, it truly is a bookstore first and a toy/game/tchotchke seller second. That said, if you're looking for more than just books, it's excellent for that as well! I picked up several stickers and a postcard. Next time I go, I need to grab a cotton tote bag.

A wonderful space for browsing! I placed an order online for a few books; they communicated very clearly as to when they were ready. Curbside pickup is available, but who doesn't want to spend some time checking out new items on the shelf? The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Check them out!

The cutest little book shop. In the front of the store there’s chalk for anyone to doodle on the sidewalk, and when you get in it’s so cozy. An array of kids books from all ages. Everything you’d want from a bookstore. My oldest found a huge stock of comics that is hard to find in other stores. We joined the membership and will be back!

Terrific little store with games, puzzles and so many terrific book choices for young and old.
