Go here! My experience here was everything I needed it to be. I walked in and was greeted and helped immediately. They measured my foot more thoroughly than ever before. They then asked what I was looking for in a shoe and we picked a couple from the wall and they brought out additional pairs that they thought would also be good fits for my needs. They were super knowledgeable about all the brands and were able to answer any questions I had.

After wasting hours trying on random shoes and researching, I wish I had just come here in the first place. I'll never go to another big box store where I'll be ignored by a high schooler on a phone that literally tells me to look on their website to see if my size is available at the store we are both standing in.

The price was also just the price of the shoe. I had avoided going to a running store because I just assumed the expertise would come with inflated prices. I was pleasantly surprised when that wasn't the case.

After two full work weeks in my new shoes, I am very happy with my purchase and I will be returning when I need them replaced.

I had a great experience at AARC! The employee that fitted me with new shoes for long runs and recovery runs was so enthusiastic and professional. I’m somewhat new to the state of Michigan, and it makes me feel like I’m back in my favorite running store in my hometown. They have great selection and inventory. I will definitely be coming back!

Had an amazing experience. I got my sizing and arch measurements done to make the perfect personalized experience toward find my ideal running shoes. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will for sure be coming back for any other running shoe purchases I need.

Recently moving in the area, I was drawn to the store by a recent article in MLive. Being a family owned business had great appeal to me, as I had been the same. I was open to different shoes, as they did not have the one I wanted; but at the same time they did offer to order it. Having been in the "shoe business" previously myself, I was impressed with the other options offered. They had great knowledge of brands and how they fit differently by last. The past 20 years, I have also replaced the insoles of running shoes and they had excellent, upgraded replacements. After shopping at another national store forever, I found AARC to be the best option.

Sales staff was great - super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They listened to what I would do with the shoes, measured, watched me walk and made recommendations based on all that. I will be back for sure!

Great experience. I was looking for someone willing to genuinely assess my running gait and recommend a shoe that was tailored to my -isms and habits. Terry was fantastic and took the time to do exactly that and recommended multiple different options for me to choose from. I've had good experiences at some of the other local running stores too but none of them put as much thought and care into getting me in the right shoes.

Wonderful local business with a surprisingly large inventory and very helpful staff. I recently purchased track and field spikes from the Ann Arbor Running Company, I called ahead while at work and they were able to set two different pairs aside for me to try on. I stopped in 20 minutes before closing (Which I usually feel bad about) and the employee there was super helpful, very friendly, and I was very grateful to find spikes in my size for my track meet the next day

Jess was super friendly & placed a specific order so I could get a particular color I wanted, which arrived in store in less than a week. I’ll be back for my next pair.
