Marlene's Market & Deli

Love it. I was an employee for a couple years (but not anymore) and I have to say, it's not only a great place to shop, but was a great place to work as well. They handpick every brand they sell, and there are things you can't find anywhere else (like Hope Hummus!!) The desserts are amazing(like the vegan chocolate cake, banana cake, and the pumpkin cake, which were my wedding cakes!!) and there's just so much attention to detail put into this business, from the salad bar to the supplement selection. I know some things can be expensive in comparison to safeway or fred meyer, but it's worth the money knowing everything is highest quality!!

Marlene’s Market and Deli is like a grocery store that sells natural food with a restaurant right inside of it. I have been to Marlene’s many times before but never realized there’s a deli upstairs. Glad I asked an employee downstairs about the fresh baked goods, and she directed me upstairs. All this time I thought upstairs is only for employees. That's not the case and I have pictures to prove it :)

Boy, they got a salad bar, sandwich, and deliciously baked goods! There's plenty of seating for customers as well. Be sure to check it out the next time you're at Marlene’s Market & Deli.

It has so many, more natural options from foods to medicines, baby supplies to makeup. They have some kitchen supplies, some gardening items, essential oils, and upstairs they have a salad bar and sandwiches. It was closed when I was there (time of day), but had an open air cooler with prepared sandwiches and things still available.

So glad I stumbled upon this place. Great health-focused store tucked behind a strip mall area in Federal Way right next to I-5. Yes, it's pricey and you'll spend less at Trader Joe's, but Marlene's prices are lower than Whole Foods and PCC, plus it's a homier feel while shopping.
Well-organized and they have lots of products. The cutest seasonal displays too.

I bought these new items to give them a try and see if I get positive results for my health the honey I have tried tastes sweet I love it.

The website of theirs was super helpful and then I called to ask about CBD pills for sleeping once again fast and friendly service was not trying to get off the phone fast like most places u call. Then I ended up driving to fed way and once again friendly as ever in person and the guy I talked to on the phone as I was leaving said hello we talked for a few minutes he gave me even more advice on a healthier life style. All in all it was the best experience I have had dealing with a retail store.

Cool store. Health foods, both loose & packaged herbs. A few different flavors of honey. Lots of vitamins & naturopathic items. A small fruit & veggie department. Then you go upstairs, & there are more items like soaps, shampoos, lotions, creams, & cosmetics. There is also a deli/ bakery & salad bar. So far, I've had a soup & sandwich special. Really good. The staff is very nice & helpful & Wendie is really great. We talk to her everytime we visit.

Wonderful place to get organic food and produce They fantastic smoothies upstairs and food to go. I buy all my vitamins at Marlene’s. I am so grateful we have this market in Federal way.

So enjoy shopping here. Some of the freshest organic fruits and vegetables anywhere around here. Grateful this place has existed for so many years. And great, helpful staff.

Really awesome customer service, Susan from Tacoma store called up to Federal Way store to find me the supplement was looking for. They had it and she held it for me there so could get today. Really appreciate her help.

Wendy in supplements was SO helpful!! I chatted with her over the phone and she was so kind and patient as I was problem solving for a friend in need near Marlene's in Federal Way. Then, when I called back (having taken Wendy's suggestions and determined how to help my friend), Christine quickly helped me complete the needed purchases and packaged them up for easy pickup! Great over the phone help from Marlene's.

It’s important for me to be able to find supplements such as L-Theanine, magnesium glycinate, lemon balm as well as kava in pill form. Which is very hard to find in stores like Walmart and Fred Meyer but not at Marlene’s. They have some very full aisles of all kinds of supplements that you can imagine. I was so thankful that I gave this place a try because I found everything I needed and more. 10/10 will absolutely be back here again! 😄

Very friendly helpful staff, great produce, a tasty deli, and Cafe, tons of healthy choices for healthy options of food, and body care. A unique place to come get what you need.

You pay for what you get and health these days is not cheap. I drive 30min out of my way just to get the raw milk they sell here. It would be awesome if they opened a store in Puyallup 😉

Every imaginable spice, blackberry honey, canning supplies, gifts and great selection of food. Staff was super nice!

I have been in the store so many times through the years. We need a good store like this out Port Orchard, but today I just want to give a shout out to the guy that works up in the deli area in the morning as a cashier. He is funny and quick witted, and it was just really refreshing. As he stated “have a tapioca amazing day!”

Best small organic grocery and deli in South King. They have the best salad bar by far. Lots of choices, all organic and fresh with a good choice of dressings. I also grab a fresh made to order green juice anytime I’m here. Awesome bulk food section too.

Best place for a good local
Selection of produce, they only sell good quality meats and cheeses. Raw milk selection, they also have a great selection of toxic free make up , skin/ body care , don’t want to forget their really awesome salad bar self serve great for a quick lunch and they make in house soup , sandwiches and juices/smoothies. My everyday place really happy federal way has this store to offer.
