Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have things I can't find anywhere else, and folks to help me navigate making the right choice. The shop has a feeling of customer relationship that's harder to find at "big box store" brands.

I recently needed a more robust leaf blower for our Property. We were using battery operated leaf blower before it wasn't doing the best job for our sized lot. We would spend all day and hours blowing and mulching leaves. We needed a better solution that was cost-effective. I wasn't sure what to buy, so I went to Ace Hardware in Dale city for a possible solution. After collaborating with the sales associate, Jellanni (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly), he helped me to select the STIHL BR 430 as a solution for the leaf removal problem. He took the time to show me how to operate the leaf blower and perform Maintenance on my new leaf blower. I was a little apprehensive at first about purchasing this gas-operated product. But after speaking with him and working through the essential Maintenance and operation, I felt comfortable with my purchase. He did an outstanding job and provided excellent customer service, and I recommend him and this store to all my neighbors and colleagues. Great Job. Keep up the excellent work!!!

They are extremely helpful and well priced. We always go in and find things we didn't know we were looking for. Their back section for grilling and smoking meats has helped my husband w his new smoker. They have a wide variety of rubs that has been interesting in expanding our pallets.

Brought in my Stihl MS270 Chainsaw in for service. I was having a problem with it stalling out. Tyler went above and beyond to fix it. Since I came in a weekday afternoon Tyler happened to have time to fix it while I waited. As a female I expected to be "mansplained" or taken advantage of. That was FAR from what happened. Tyler explained everything he was doing and why. Part of my problem was the stabilized gas had gone bad. Another issue was my carburetor was going bad. He had the parts and was able to fix and adjust everything right there. The saw never left my sight. I would 100% come back again.
I also had good experience with Lindsey in the paint department. She helped me pick a paint that would work in my bathroom. She didn't push me towards the most expensive but that's were I went. I hate painting so I wanted the least amount of work for my money..

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Everyone I dealt with was nice even when they were busy. They had everything I needed for my bathroom sink plumbing project.

I had a minor issue with my Stihl Combi tool and took it in for a repair, expecting that it would be out for at least a week. Minimum. This is the backbone of my landscaping tools; it runs my edger, trimmer, bed re-definer, cultivator, and bush trimmer, so I was dreading the visit and the loss of an important tool. Tyler diagnosed the problem and made the repair while I waited, resulting in zero downtime. I buy all of my Stihl equipment and supplies at Pitkin’s Ace, and a whole lot more. If you need help with weird hardware or replacing a screen or help with anything else that comes from a hardware store, come here. Unlike the big box stores, Tyler and the whole team not only sell things, they know how to use it and service it too.
