Montclair Family Restaurant

Guys... YOU MUST EAT HERE! I've been seeing the ads on Facebook for months, and so my hubby and I decided one Sunday evening to take that hour drive to Hoodbridge... and we were NOT disappointed! The pictures in including are the Birria Tacos (you get 4) the Shrimp Burrito and the Gyro... and my husband had the cheese steak.
The Shrimp Burrito has avocado inside... lettuce, cheese and tomato... and what threw me for a loop was the boiled egg... I don't know WHY that's in there, but it works.
My Gyro was DELICIOUS! Oh my goodness! The cheese, the tzaziki sauce, the flavorful meat... and it was HUMONGOUS! I fully recommend.
I also added had the birria tacos, and my daughter fell in love with them.
Everything was delicious and the waitress was attentive and polite.
I have to give my stamp of approval 🎯

Stopped by for breakfast going South on I95. We really enjoyed what we got. Steak with eggs was medium well, just as I asked for. My party got Eggs Benedict and Burger and they were satisfied.
When traveling for long hours, this was perfect, homemade food.
It is a small Diner, so you may have to wait to be seated.

I can't believe I have lived here for 11+ years and never been to Montclair family restaurant! We went for brunch I had the Birria tacos. They were stuffed with beef and the caldo had great flavor. The coffee is hot and service is excellent. I highly recommend this gem of a family owned restaurant!

We had an absolutely fantastic meal here. We were passing while on vacation and chose to stop in on a whim. What a wonderful surprise. We started with the family-size spinach pie. My wife got salmon on a massive salad. I chose the surf and turf burrito platter. Every component was fantastic. I rarely give five stars to restaurants, but this one quickly earned it. The prices were even relatively low. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place, yummy food & awesome staff!! A cozy and pleasant restaurant near I-95 with very tasty food and wide selection on their menu: Greek, Mexican or American. Friendly staff too, worth returning. 😋😋😋👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙌🏼😊

Considering that we went there right at lunchtime on a good-weather Sunday, we were impressed by how quickly they got us seated and served. Good menu selections and yummy...recommend!

I always stop here as I travel to Virginia. Next to I-95. Food is very good and selection is plentiful. Daily specials are the way to go...

Went early, 7am when they opened. Nice clean place. Good food, I had Pecan Waffles. 2 eggs and bacon. Great place to eat if you're staying at the nearby hotels.

Taco Tuesday is amazing! $1 any beer, wine is fresh because in single serve bottles, staff is so responsive and respectful; such a great experience after driving all day. And we loved the beautiful plants. Restaurant is so cute and so clean! Don't miss this restaurant!

I recommend this place if you are near by and like mom and pop shops. The staff was kind and courteous. I ordered the bacon cheese burger and my wife oredered the meatball parmesean sub. I really liked the ground beef they used it was lean and flavorful. My wife also enjoyed her Meatball parm sub. I had a bite and it was very good. A little too salty but good nonetheless. I would definitely go back to try more dishes.

Warm vibes and good food!! Was very busy on a Saturday early afternoon. Was surprised that the side home fires / potatos were so tasty as usually restaurants just skimp out on that and make it like “filler” food. Overall my family had a great meal here.

10/10 great customer service, all the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's very noticeable they work together. The food is delicious. You really get your money worth. We are definitely coming back.

Today I had a birthday party celebration for my daughter and I had my food catered from the Montclair Family Restaurant and they did not disappoint! The food was amazing and plentiful!! Thank you all for your service. Everyone enjoyed the food !!

I visited this local landmark for the first time last Saturday. I walked into the restaurant, which was crowded, and was immediately greeted by friendly workers. The menu is a unique fusion of Greek, American, and Salvadoran food. I settled on marinated chicken breast with a Greek side salad. The salad was a bit slow in coming, but it was tasty and fresh when it arrived. The chicken was well-marinated. The pita bread was warm and homemade. The yogurt and dill sauce, an unexpected addition, was an addictive dip for the chicken and bread. I will return for the friendly atmosphere, the yogurt sauce, and maybe to try some pupusas!

This is what diner is supposed to be!!!
The food was great, the prices were reasonable, the service was warm, the place was bustling with business and It didn't affect the waiter's demeanor nor the wait time. I highly recommend.

Cons:
! The parking can be a bit of a hassle when really busy. But I can't blame them for this.

Our waitress was amazing!!!
Great deal of food variety, if you can’t find something you’d eat here then ya should probably go home and make something yourself.

Great place, friendly staff. The hotdog-burger was absolutely amazing.

Food, service, and the restaurant were great. We definitely enjoyed it. We were on our way home from NY to Florida and stopped. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful place to eat with your family, food is good, but the cooking time is very slow. I waited almost 45 minutes for my meal but I'm still giving 5 Star, Ms Peggy my girl she's wonderful the whole time shes always so cheerful. My 3rd time here and I love it here they just need to speed up with cooking. I will always come back, and I have been bragging to my friends and family to come here. This place is wonderful you will have a wonderful time here.
