Natural Foods General Store

OK, First off, I only write a review if something is a standout or a danger, so (And I read all the reviews) How or why does ANYONE give a 1 star review with no commentary? And the other less positive comments mostly complain about prices--But guess what? Good/specialty foods COST More, and any business, especially a small one, needs to make a small profit on top of paying staff and keeping the lights on, and they obviously don't have the negotiating power over wholesale prices that Walmart has, so maybe get a clue and be realistic in your perception of value!

If you don't want to pay a little more for premium or unique products, then shop elsewhere, But don't complain about prices!
NEXT--Regarding the staff, I don't know what passes for "Rude" to other people, but every time I've been there--and I was just there--it happened that one item I was looking for was sold out and the Gentleman at the counter told me it would probably be in the next day and asked me if I wanted a phone call when they got it in! Go to any big chain market and ask them to either "special order" something for you, or "Call you when it's in"! (Cue the Laughing!)

This Store is a local Treasure that's been here since before I moved here in the 80's and they certainly have a solid customer base. That alone speaks volumes. I hope they continue to be an oasis of epicurean gems in the desert of "processed" mediocrity that is Toms River!
I'd give them a 10 star review if that were possible, But 5 will have to do!

...there must be something I can complain about--I Got It! They're like 3.5 miles away from my house! I demand that they immediately relocate to the nearest commercial building on my side of the Parkway!!! (/s)

You have no idea how ecstatic I was when I found out the shop is only five minutes away from my house. I came in because I was hoping to find sea moss in store. I didn’t exactly find that however the wonderful woman working recommended the Sea Moss Powder they had in stock. I decided to give it a try and I have been using it for three days now and I feel absolutely amazing. I’m going to be making this powder a part of my diet and I will be visiting very frequently for more and other essential needs!!

So happy with this store. Has everything I could think of that is organic/clean ingredients, as well as vitamins and supplements. It's my go-to for my whole family.

Have been coming here since before my high school years (early-mid80s). Some of their products are a bit on the expensive side, but it's a family owned store with one location, no big box discount for them. Thanks for years of great service and adventures in creative parking! 😉

Any negatives are from Bitter People, I'm convinced. My Aunt first started bringing me here when I was 15, almost 12 years ago. The Customer Service has always been amazing. These people are beyond kind. Ofcourse it's pricey, but it's holistic. Worth it. Everyone there is extremely helpful and understanding. Over all ; a beautiful environment with beautiful people!

Really cool store in Toms River New Jersey. The Owner Jay and employees are also very nice and down to earth humble guys

I've moved to the Midwest after living next to this store for over 5 years and still live well by the guidance I received from the knowledgeable staff. They helped me find natural solutions for everything from acne, weight loss, hair growth, vitamins to help me supplement the need for certain otc medicines, natural body cleanse/detox, and the best shampoos and body wash a gal could ask for! The kick backs are awesome too make sure to ask for a card if you frequently visit to get cool discounts! The products & staff get 6 stars! I visit everytime I can get home to toms river to see my parents, thanks guys

If you want excellent advice from a very knowledgeable lady, talk to Tondra. She and her mother Mary, retired, have helped our family so much over the years that I can never say enough. Jay and his son Daniel are the best too. I have never encountered anyone that didn't give 110%. Just great people helping you in every way.

Great local health food store. They have very delicious sandwiches, wraps, and soups made on site. They also make fresh juice but you have to get there early before the kitchen closes. They have a wonderful selection of vegan, natural, and whole foods.

Love the foods that I have purchased from then, and the vitamins are excellent, too. A friend of mine told me about this place.

Very helpful and friendly people. Excellent assortment of products. Somewhat more expensive than the supermarket but they have a number of products that are not available in the supermarket. Great find.
