Lakewood MVC Inspection Station

Made an appointment few hours in advance, it’s a small place, seems like a long line, but runs efficiently and on time. Every person working there was polite, quick, and on point. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Could have easily come half hour earlier and would have been helped too. Thank you!

Came here on a Friday @ 9:30am. Waited MAYBE 10 minutes! So quick, easy & the staff was kind. In and out in under 15 minutes!

Who are we kidding? Although we all loathe having to visit a facility like this (my New Jersey residents understand), they make the process pretty quick and easy. It can get pretty busy at times but then again, what agency such as this doesn't? Not a bad experience though, the employees are always pretty friendly and they explain everything they need to pretty clearly.

Easy going they will explain what you gotta do. Very helpful and easy going. And if you didn’t pass your inspection they will tell you why and what to do to fix it. If its cracked windshield or your car emissions. They will give you few weeks to fix it so you don’t get a ticket from your local Police Department.

I have to say, I was stressing going here. I thought the wait was going to be LONG!! It was incredibly FAST!!! Fifteen minutes from the time I received my ticket till I exited. The gentleman that did my inspection was super friendly n nice. I hope my next visit is as pleasant.

I went for my car inspection this morning. Even though I know things have changed, I still get that anxiety from the 80's. Back then you waited in line for hours, only to make it to the front and get rudely chastised by an inspector because you didn't turn on the headlights fast enough! You dreaded going there! Today, I came to the Lakewood location. There were 6 cars in front of me. They funneled them into alternating bays, the inspectors did their job professionally (yet friendly), and I was out of there in 15 minutes! Bravo!!!!!

Going to motor vehicle , is no longer a horrific errand to be done . They have 5 bays open , normally and they only check emissions so you are in and out , which boggles my mind .. The staff is extremely kind , even though they have to deal with the public every day. No longer a frowned upon chore.

Arrived around 11AM. 5 cars in line ahead of me. Inside about 7 minutes later. Out in 5 or 6 minutes.

It is free. The rest is standard for a state vehicle inspection facility. Wait time is variable.

Super fast service! Wait time here was like literally 6 minutes..Updated 5/11/22.. Go early and you won't wait long.. Nothing changed..Lots of Bays open for quick entry and exit..

Excellent experience 👏 I arrived on Monday at 11:10am 15 cars in front of me the employees are fast, efficient and respectful. I was done by 11:25am👍and the inspection is FREE!!

I went to the Lakewood NJ MVS inspection station and it was a short wait and I was out in no time. I had to go to managers office for a replacement sticker for my out of town sticker. Manager was friendly and no attitude.

Very Long line when I arrived at 10:45 wrapped around the building.. however I pulled out at 11:10 fully inspected (passed) and on my way...

VERY QUICK all bays (5 regular 1 commercial) were open..

Good for another two years.!!
