Traverse Asian Market

I make it a point to check out the Asian markets wherever I'm at. This one is very nice, clean and a good selection. The staff was very helpful. I would love it if they had some fresh produce and maybe some meat selection. Other than that, they have pretty much everything you can find in the big city.

I love it, the only place that I've found to get Laoganma and Gochugaru. There's a whole lot to get lost in here, but it's all well organized. Only a few aisles so you can be efficient. Good stuff I'm so happy northern Michigan has this place!

Just have what I was looking for. Although not that big of a selection but just what I need - galangal, Thai sweet chili sauce, kaffir lime, lemongrass! And kewpie mayo! And actually a whole bunch of different sauces incl soy sauce and coconut milk of course!

Surprising good selection for how small it seems. Nice place with pretty much all the ingredients we needed!

Nice spot for Asian specialty items. No fresh veggies but lots of frozen and dry goods. Love that I can get my Philippine meats and lumpia here.

Authentic Asian food and ingredients. Small store but still bigger and more authentic than Meijer. Some of the ingredients can be found at Meijer when Meijer is in stock, but a lot is more authentic (smaller brands from actual Asian companies) and more different brands.
They have a lot of Japanese stuff. I'm not so good at recognizing other regional food, but they also have Chinese and some Vietnamese food.

Great selection for the small space. I would like to see more Southeast Asian food items but they had all the key ingredients I was searching for today. The owner is funny and kind and it was a positive experience all around. We will be back!

I was really happy to find this authentic little Asian store. They have a nice selection of foods to choose from that you can’t find in other stores in on area. The store owner is very friendly and helpful. The prices are good and the store in well organized and clean. Highly recommend!

Great shop with a nice selection given the small size. They seem to have a little bit of everything, and even put up recipe guides near the curry mixes and such. Not a full grocery store, so don't expect tons of produce, but there is a fair sized refrigerated/frozen food section, and of course lots of sauces and spices.

I love this market, the staff (and owner) are always friendly and helpful and willing to order a specific item if necessary. Living up north with limited access to Asian groceries makes this place a gem. I'm finally able to make miso soup at home anytime I wish, and can always find my favorite rice noodles.

A clean, well stocked gem of a store with friendly staff. I was able to find everything on my list; things that the big box stores carry in short supply or not at all. I'll definitely be back!

Great selection of cooking ingredients, more then you would expect for a small store. Has new stuff coming in all the time. Owners are super friendly. One of my fav businesses in town

Need that thing for an Asian recipe, they have it.

This is a great market. The staff are very frendly, the selection is good, and they have many delicious asian items to choose from. I personally really enjoy ramen and they have a very good selection. They also could order you items if you request them. I would certainly recommend it!

The owner Dennis has done a great job, and has even found hard to get stuff cheap!

This is more Pinoy, Thai centric than your AVG Asian market but good sampling of Japanese, Korean and Chinese goods too.

I'm so glad we have an Asian market! I hope someday they can expand into produce, but I'll take the "oddball" things like gochujang, dumpling wrappers, bao buns, and Chinese sausage. I was able to get most of the things I needed for a "Chinese New Year" event I had last year, which was awesome

I can't believe there will finally be a Asian market in Northern Michigan. I live by the Mackinaw bridge and go to T.C. three times a week for my work. I am Filipina and so excited to come see the new store.

Awesome place to buy ingredients you won't find elsewhere. Curry paste, huge egg noodles, wide variety of spice and sauces. Good deal on coconut milk.

Just called this store to see if, as stated in the review by Kelly, it is closed. No, it is open. Yay! What happened was they cut back their hours, so she must just have hit it at the wrong time. The hours posted here are correct.
