My husband and I happened to see this place on our way home from elsewhere so we made note of it and visited a few weeks later. I’m really glad we did. There is an immense selection of fresh, frozen, and pantry items, as well as household items. I wanted 1 of everything! The store was really clean and well organized, and the man who checked us out was very nice. My 1 year old loved the Shin Black (as did I) so I have a great excuse to visit often :)

Very well stocked with many common staples, produce, frozen fish, gyoza, ramen, udon, popular Asian snacks and honestly much much more. It's worth a visit you're missing a taste of home or just curious

This place is great. There are so many unique and unusual things to find here. I do not know another place to get the items that I buy at this place. Every time I go, I walk up and down the aisles to see what there is to see. Very interesting. I suggest that you check it out and try something new for a change.

I love this store! They have a little bit of everything without being overwhelming. They change their products fairly regularly so everytime I go I feel like there's something else to get. Also nice when making hyper specific recipes.

The store is small, but you'll find all sorts of goods packed inside! I try to stop by once every month or two, and there's almost always something new to try in the snack department— plus they've got some great finds in their freezer/fridge section (just got my hands on some delicious pork bulgogi). Just be careful because you WILL want to buy a lot.

I like shopping here for Kimchi, other sauce for Korean food. Most of the time there is some discounted products as well. The owner is very friendly.

Great source for East Asian and some Middle Eastern foods. Mostly packaged or frozen. I think they cater alot to UofI students and what makes sense in a a dorm room, and maybe restaurants too. A regular spot for us.

Love this store! Got some Gimari here, and other ingredients that aren’t at regular stores in the area.

Small but with a bit of everything! Staff is helpful and will remember you and your shopping preferences. Always something fun on sale. They have items for home, traditional foods fresh, packaged, and cold. They even carry Indian food. Rice can be bought in bulk, different types, from Sticky to Basmati, and most in-between. Parking lot is tight (less than 20 spots) but connects on two sides of the street. They have strong plastic bags, with smiles on them, but no paper bags. Decent pricing on most items. Credit card purchases must be $5 or above.

They always have something new, there are no empty shelves but you might have to ask to find an item. If you don't know an item, be sure to ask. There is no shortage of spicy if you want it. Also, there is plenty of Tea.

They also sell alcohol. And rice cookers. Fresh food is seasonal.

Carts are stored outside, by the front door, there is no cost to use them. Some shoppers use baskets that are found indoors.

Store is always clean. Some shoppers and staff wear masks.

Friendly and helpful, always a little treasure to find around the corner.

Love this place! I go to AM-KO to buy my 10# bags of Basmati rice and specialty items and spices that they don't carry at most groceries. My kids love it too; they always beg to go so they can try some of the interesting and unique snacks and sweets.

This place has a really great selection of multiple sauces/ingredients/accessories for a decent variety of cultural cuisines. Not too difficult to find anything either.

This is one of the six asian markets in town, and one of the two on campus. Most of the store are candy, snack, drinks, kitchenware, and houseware. It offers limited foods, like the ones used to cook.
Staffs are nice. Parking is enough. Watch carefully when you drive and merge to traffic.

Great variety of things and was fairly priced. I feel like this place has the most Japanese groceries on campus. Will definitely revisit.

I like this place mostly for their spices and flours these days. I like to make mochi and they have sweet rice flour. If you're gluten-free it seems like a good place to buy alternative flours like rice and dal flour as well as grains like millet for WAY cheaper than anywhere else. Some of the grains and beans are even organic.

They also have a wide selection of Asian candies and snacks, which I used to eat a lot of. They're really tasty!

A long time favorite. Although they specialize in Asian foods and other goods you can also find middle Eastern and Latin foods as well as a wide assortment of household wares. They also carry a good selection of sakes some wine and beer. You can find everything from the eye poppingly exotic to the mundane.
