Ron has brought a magnificent establishment to a town that sorely needed a meat market. His prices are fair, his cuts are outstanding, and his staff is delightful!

I smile ever time I walk in.

I placed a significant order for a party of 50 recently. It was prepared perfectly. I picked it up exactly when I specified and it was exceptionally packaged as we'd discussed.

I cannot recommend Meat on the West Side enough! Please do yourself a favor and support this local small business. You won't regret it.

Finally a quality, locally run butcher shop in Lansing! Ron runs an excellent establishment! Ordered a couple of the Snapshot bundles to store away for the month and so far everything I've tried (The NY Strips and some bacon) has been very fresh and very high quality.
Will definitely be back for more, and would 100% recommend shopping for all your meats if you live anywhere nearby.

They have a great selection of quality meats available. I love having a great butcher in the area (not many around). All of the employees are friendly and very helpful. A+

I stopped in 2 weeks ago, and I've been back 4 times since. Amazing quality and prices, and a really pleasant staff. They have a great selection for a small store. I'm thrilled to have them here.

My friend and I purchased 5 lbs of their fresh Canadian salmon. It was the current market price and fair price for the area. The flavor and tenderness were above par; very succulent and delicious. Will come back to try more. Excellent butcher with extensive variety. Friendly service.

Was pleasantly surprised how much was packed into this little shop. Good selection of nice thick cut ribeye, smoked fish, pork chops, spare ribs - they even had really thick cut tomahawk steaks. They had a really good selection of brats, and was surprised me is that they even had stuff for a nice Irish breakfast, including bangers and black pudding. They have a few things for sides, but most of the emphasis is on the meat - the way the meat gods intended. Staff was quick to help, and I walked out feeling really good on the quality of meat. Will need to ask next time to see if they can offset up special cuts like whole picanha, etc

We bought the frozen Gouper. It's our favorite fish in Gulf Shores. We were so happy that your fish was just as delicious as eating it down there!! Thank you for carrying such a nice variety! And we also love your Pickle and Swiss Brats!!

I’ve been into Meat on the West Side a couple of times now. My first experience I bought two New York strip steaks. The quality was phenomenal.

For Easter I specially ordered a prime rib roast. They vacuum sealed it and tied it with butchers twine beautifully. The quality was amazing! Our Easter dinner was perfect!

We have been very pleased so far with the quality and service. I’m so happy to have a meat market on this side of town finally.

Great little butcher shop with a very nicely varied selection of excellent products, both meet and fish , and all at quite reasonable prices. Friendly helpful staff seem knowledgeable and quite invested in good service. We are thrilled to finally see a shop of this caliber in this area and we will be quite regular customers.

Excellent selection of meat. Zero pressure, super friendly staff. Niche place with other awesome food sides and treats. A must try if you haven't and if you have you know you're going back again and again!

Heard about this new store opening and decided to make the drive over. We live in Charlotte mi. And let me tell you what. Bought 6 sizzlers for a very good price, grilled a couple for dinner tonight, it was the best steak we have ever had. We will definitely be back.

The very friendly owners welcomed us in and had a great selection of beef and steaks cut in any way you can think of, fresh deli meats for sandwiches, a super yummy 3-pepper cheese (it has a tasty kick to it!), and a really impressive seafood selection! We will definitely be regulars here for our meat and cheese needs. ☺

This is a very good butcher shop. Friendly and professional staff, very high quality cuts, and a clean and good looking shop. This is not close to where I live, but I'll be going out of my way to shop here. You can't get this quality at the grocery store.

Heard a lot about this new place so figured I would go check it out. The store is very clean and the staff was great. It was busy but they made sure everyone was getting helped. I bought a couple filet mignons and they were amazing! They were prices very reasonably too. Will definitely be going back!

We go here every week and have never been disappointed! The staff is very well educated on their products. Friendly enviorment. Everyone should go here for their meat/ seafood needs. Forget about the big chain stores. They have NOTHING on meat on the west side

Fast friendly service best meat in town I wouldn't go to meijer's anymore top quality

We just finished the filet mignon that we bought this afternoon. We grilled it using only salt, pepper, and butter finish. It was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more cuts. Glad to have a place like this in town.

Very nice Bitcher shop, all the cuts of meat look Devine, the Oxtails are meaty and greasy. Everyone in the store from staff to customers made me and my family feel welcome and comfortable. I purchased fish there that national chains don't carry. Go early and buy dinner then step next door at Flour Child bakery. One stop. Two doors apart. Dinner and dessert. Boom, done.
