Yasai Produce Market

Convenient location with a full selection of produce and almost every Asian cooking essential. When I am in a rush and do not have the time to drive to KP or Ranch 99, I often stop at Yasai to pick up the things I need. The shop is small but packed with goodies. Alongside produce, Asian snacks, bulk goods, and condiments, there's also detergent, toilet paper, and soap.

My go-to for everything groceries, staff and owner are super nice and welcoming. Asian grocery friendly. Safeway and Trader Joe’s also nearby if I missed anything here.

Exactly what I want from a small grocer. I usually come here for produce and other small condiments for a dish I’m making. The staff are friendly and it’s easy to get what I need and get outta there.

The cutest little market with super fresh vegetables and fruit. Although, YASAI is a micro market, I love their selection of Asian and Indian ingredients.

Lovable local corner store, with an amazing selection of stuff -- really a small supermarket in that sense. Produce pretty good for the most part, fresh corn lately exceptional. Prices reasonable. They seem to have survived the opening of the Safeway across the street. You are allowed to park in the Safeway lot across the street for one hour free, even if you don't shop at Safeway -- this was part of a deal negotiated with local community groups. Love 'em.

Fresh produce (heirlooms!), open late, and local owned. Stop here before you go to Safeway for your fruits and veggies.

This store is amazing. The variety of produce, the selection of dry goods, the tempting little treats..there is more in this little shop than there is in most large supermarkets! Like, not only do they have matzoh meal, but they have the best QUALITY brand of matzoh meal. And they have the very best, freshest varieties of apples, a large selection of fresh herbs and unusual mushrooms . And the only rye flour in the East Bay during quarantine!

Absolutely the most reliable and consistent selection of vegetables fruits and Specialty items in North Oakland hands-down, this family has been maintaining the store for over 40 years, and show no signs of slowing down. It's a good sign when you see the cooks from the local restaurants here in the morning

This is a great local gem. It is just a cross the street from Safeway but locals know that this is the better produce spot. Great produce and Asian inspired treats make this place great. Shop local for the win.

Freshest produce, competitive prices....sometimes great " bargain" bags. Variety of canned goods, dairy, desserts, speciality food packed in this small store. Women owned! Try it. You will be hooked.

Yasai is my favorite grocery for produce and Asian products. It’s small but somehow has all the things I need that sometimes I can’t even find at larger grocery stores! One time I asked if they had pandan extract (pretty obscure) and they said they would order me some and I should check back in a week. I did and they had it and remembered! Love the folks that work there and am happy they are part of our neighborhood.
