I haven’t been in to Academy in a while. The last time I went it was under-stocked and you couldn’t find anyone to help.
Well, let me tell you!!!!! I went into the store about a week ago on a Sunday afternoon with my son to get a trampoline. I was greeted by two men asking me how they could help. I told them I was looking for a trampoline. They pointed me in the direction. Then following right behind me was two gentleman that helped me closer navigate to them. They offered much help with sizing and features of each one, down to pricing. They loaded the one I chose up on a dolly and brought it to the front. I told them I had a little more shopping to do so they gladly said they would hold on to it for me. We went to shoes and a lady in the shoe department helped us find what we needed. As we checked out the lady at the register was wonderfully pleasant. She asked if we found everything we needed. She even noticed my son and greeted him as well. I told her I was astounded to how wonderful I felt and so helpful everyone was. It was like a breath of fresh air! Thank you Ed, Steve, Mimi, Robert and David. You made my visit so wonderful. One thing though and this is just a joke… the trampoline was not easy to put together. But I have amazing neighbors who helped me. I was determined to have an outlet for my son. He loves it! Thank you so much!

Love this store! Excellent selection of items from beach, fishing, hunting, etc! Their clothing selection is awesome, and they have great sales. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Bought a 12' rod. Surprisingly, it was the longest surf rod in the store. Also bought some braided line which they put on the reel I brought in. Great service.

Ordered online..picked up item before the 1 hour handling time..a manager gladly got me my item no wait..great service..lots of good stuff too.

The black girl at the register gave awesome service I believe her name was mini or niki

If you're not dressed properly they follow you like I'm up to something dressed nice

I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at Academy Sports+Outdoor. I was immediately greeted as soon as I walked into the store. I proceeded to the footwear department in search of running shoes. Upon arrival, Christian the sales clerk, asked if I needed any help finding anything as he was restocking the shelves. I asked if he had my size in a couple styles and he proceeded to help me look. At the moment, we couldn't find what I wanted and he then apologized for not having my size. Then, I continued looking and found two other styles I liked. I went back to him to see what the price was for the shoes as the display was sitting on the wrong shelf. Christian then offered to check the price of both pairs of shoes in the back. They were on sale and I was elated. This is what good customer service is all about. Great service and happy customers! Keep up the good work!!!

Their sales were so good we went 3 times in 2 days. 5.99 folding chairs for Madri Gras and the beach. Coolers and can cozy in every style and price. 24 pack of water for 5.99

We went to get our fishing licenses. Saw all these different colored folding chairs! (We don't have much of a selection here @ the Southside store in San Antonio) We were in line for a bit when this cashier came and told us to follow her. She helped us at another register! Waiting time cut in half. Thank you so much. Service with a smile!

Great store that has a huge selection to pick from in every department. We were visiting from out of state we don't have academy where we live and we love to shop this store anytime were traveling and there is one to stop at
