Extremely helpful. Helped me find the right sized wrench for a bolt for my bicycle. The cashier easily handled the item exchange.

Great hardware store with plenty of help! They have a little bit of everything but don’t overwhelm you with too broad of a selection. Good selection of spray paints, fasteners, hardware, paint brushes, and tools. All the employees were super friendly and met us at the door to help. Glad this place is on the island in such a good location. This will be my new go-to hardware shop.

If you're in a pinch for time or just need a couple small things for your next project, don't waste your time at this big box stores like home Depot. Chances are you're just a skip and a hop away from Chalmers hardware. Everybody that works there knows something about most everything in the store. They're very helpful and able to assist even if you're unknowledgeable. there's a reason why they are still standing as Galveston's preferred hardware store. Do yourself Justice and don't miss this not so hidden treasure

What an excellent hardware store. Probably the best on Galveston Island. They had everything I needed and even some things that I wanted. The staff was friendly and very helpful and went out of their way to make sure the needs of the customer were met. Five stars

Best local hardware store, way easier than driving all the way down to The Home Depot. Staff is always very friendly, can help you fix any problem you might be facing.

I shop here almost daily. They are nice people for the most part, so they have my local support. Prices are fair. Some things cost less/more than Home Depot. Decent selection across the board. Is a great store. Always have what I need. And staff is very costumer service oriented. Couldn't find nicer folks on the island. Really try to find projects to do for my aunt and uncle I'm here to visit, so I can go visit my friends and get supplies.

They have a little bit of everything so if you don't want to go all the way to home depot for minor jobs you probably won't have to! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable!
