Galleria Asian Market

Wonderful store with very friendly staff. Good prices and tons of refrigerated and frozen goods. Great kimchi. Awesome snacks. Wish they had a little more selection of produce, and maybe some smaller packages for some of the interesting refrigerated foods! For example, I'd like to try the fermented squid, but don't need $10 worth of it 😝

More Korean items, but there is also Indonesian stuff like Kopiko, Kacang Garuda, and Indomie.
Various meat choices, and they offer bone as well (see their chest freezer).
Very clean and spacious aisle.
Recommended: Korean squid (frozen) in red sauce.

I frequent/shop at the Galleria several times a week. The selection, especially for hard to find food items, is amazing. What I really like is that every time I go, they are organizing and sorting the shelves and coolers, sweeping the floor, etc...always neat and tidy. The new owner is really friendly and helpful as well. When I couldn't find a particular ingredient, she actually called one of their vendors to ask and ordered exactly what I was looking for to stock on their shelves so it would be there the next time I came back. Now that's what I call customer service!

Love this place me and my friends walk up there all the time also get the instant brown sugar boba and they’re ice creams. Employees always so nice to me and my friends and very welcoming!

The store has a nice variety of produce to buy and it is a very clean store. The people working there are so helpful and nice.

This has everything you need for Korean products or other Asian products. It's very clean, organized, and has a nice selection of imported goods. The staff is friendly and the store is pretty easy to navigate.

The store had a lot of great choices and was very clean. The staff was very helpful when I needed a suggestion on a food item. Definitely, will be my place for Asian groceries.

Very nice place, pretty decently sized Asian Market! They have multiple countries represented in their products. Definitely recommend even just for a snack.

This store is sooo clean and spacious!

Front fridge has a small area for produce, tofu, and rice cake section. You can find most of all your Korean basics here (some Chinese too). There's varieties of instant ramen, noodles, rice, snacks, sauces... then freezer has nice selection of dumplings, sliced meats (chicken, beef, pork) and seafood (shrimp, squid, octopus, fish, clams, etc) for hot pot, soup, cooking or grill. There's also jars of cubed radish kimchi and nappa cabbage kimchi.

Missing...no soju or makgeolli 😢

It looks like they scaled back a lot of inventory after the pandemic years. I love to support local businesses... encourage you to stop in! Very nice lady at the register 🙂

Literally has everything Asian-oriented that central Ann Arbor does not.

The owners are efficient and nice. It is a little ways from campus though. So if you are a student, consider commuting by bus or car.

I absolutely love Galleria! I come here to get some of my favorite Asian food staples (mostly 떡볶이 and 찹쌀떡). Every experience has been so pleasant. The variety of products sold are impressive, and the store itself is clean and spacious. Thank you, Galleria!

Clean and nice grocery shop. Very convenient to shop there. The young owner is fluent in English and Korean, having in-depth knowledge of food and grocery. The owners are always welcoming and you can buy a wide selection of Asian food including Chinese, Japanese and Thai quisines.

I love this store. It’s clean, organized & tidy. They do have some produce, would be nice if there were a bit more variety, but I’m sure that’s dependent on customer demand. I LOVE the young guy that usually rings up my purchases, he seems like a truly genuine, kind, and good soul. Always puts a smile on my face!

This is hands down the best Asian market I've ever been to. I like that it's family owned and run. The son who works there is a true foodie who knows everything about the products they sell and goes out of his way to answer questions and share his knowledge. He spent about 15 minutes educating me on the nuances of rice after the store was supposed to be closed. Obviously a true professional who loves what he does. Hard to find that level of service nowadays. Everything in the store is also fresh, high quality and reasonably priced. I always stop in when I have the chance.

If you're looking for good quality Korean ingredients and friendly shop owners then you've come to the right place. The staff are very helpful and kind. The prices are reasonable and there's quite a bit of variety (sans fresh produce). I will definitely be returning in the near future! Highly recommended.

Since COVID-19 hit Galleria Market been taking orders online and you can pick them up outside the store. The process wasn't difficult or time consuming. I am thankful for the staff taking such pre-cautions. Galleria Market is a credit to Ann Arbor and I wish more stores would follow in their footsteps.

They are also selling Cambridge masks which are very effective with filtering pollution and viruses, so I highly recommend you look into these masks if you're looking for a nice mask that will last. Just ask the staff. 😁
