Food Lion

I usually do pickups and staff is always super friendly. They pick the freshest produce for you and hardly ever need to substitute. During the summer, they will even bring you a cold bottle of water. I rarely shop inside but when I moved here a few months ago, I had to go inside and the store is the cleanest Food Lion I have ever been in. Fully stocked, neat, clean and at checkout I watched a manager arrive and the staff’s faces all lit up. Everyone was so happy. Other stores should visit this one to learn how to do things the right way.

The store was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Food Lion team is the image of what a company representative should look like. Kudos to this team.

Seems like the only store that can keep stock regularly. I wonder what they are doing differently from some of these “higher quality“ stores. And they stay up later than the other stores as well… Customer service is top-notch though they could use a few more cashiers at times.

I had a grocery pick up order and Stephanie C shopped my order and delivered it to my car ! She was amazing and stayed in communication during her shopping process. The entire time ! She let me know what they was out of and provided substitutions. (She asked before selecting it) Best experience ! I even witnessed her providing excellent customer service to another customer! Keep up the great work and I hope she shops my order again !

All other grocery stores could learn from Food Lion for well positioned and easy to read aisle signs

I've shopped weekly at this Woodcroft Food Lion for more than 20 years. (I also shop at the nearby Harris Teeter which I also like.) If you've shopped at other Food Lion stores and been disappointed, this location is not like the others. It's clean and bright and has courteous employees. They have, however, been challenged--as have ALL grocery stores--with pandemic-related inventory and staffing issues. Still, I find by planning ahead and always having a running list I can generally get everything on my list within 2 weeks. Some weeks they're out of something but have it the next. Anyone who cooks regularly at home and therfore buys groceries weekly knows this has been reality everywhere for 2+ years. I'm an avid and twice-daily cook and we eat a lot of produce, and I can almost always find the quality I want/need. I may have to look through the spinach bunches to find the one I want, but it's there, and at a good price. As I mentioned I also shop at the nearby HT, but their produce prices are higher overall for comparable (and, actually, sometimes lesser) quality. I recommend this Food Lion.

The Food Lion located in Hope Valley Shopping mall has been my regular store for groceries for about a year. It's always very well lighted, & clean. The store has no odors which is very important for me. It is usually well staffed, so you can check out pretty quick. The deli items are always fresh & tasty, meats are good, produce is reasonable & fresh. Shopping here is a pleasant experience.

Fresh produce, well stocked, has all the basics in a well organized relatively small store. It has many gourmet and organic options and lots of variety. Best place in town for local produce. Everything costs less than in Harris teeter. Everyone is very friendly and I love that they open new cash registers as soon as they see more than 2 people in line. This is by far my favorite super market.

This is a secondary location that I go to when the first does not have something I need

One of the largest Food Lions I have been to. The staff is so friendly. It's easy to find everything.

Preparing for Hurricane Florence today. This store had PLENTY of water. Everyone got as much as they wanted. Inside, employees were friendly and helpful. Lines were long but moving along. Good experience.

Great store,close to home. They have remodeled and have added a nice local beer section and a hot wing bar!

Very clean grocery store located in Woodcroft which has a deli on site We love their deli meats Dietz and Watson as well as their local products, fresh fruits, and vegetables Many local restaurants and various stores in area ranging from Italian, pizza, subs, floral shop, hardware, cakes, etc. If you appreciate convenience and smaller shopping scale, try here
