so happy theyre back. food is so worth the price and price is reasonable too. its filling with many options. its like a cafeteria style + menu ordering. was overwelmed by the set up my first time and didnt know how to order. just grab a menu and order at the cashiers, they will give you a number to put on your table and bring your food out. when youre done, just put away your plates and tray.

I recently visited Mediterranean Deli, Bakery, and Catering, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance, the beautiful decor, and the friendly staff.

First off, the food was outstanding. I tried several dishes, and each one was bursting with flavor, fresh, and expertly prepared. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the hummus was creamy and flavorful, and the tabbouleh was light and refreshing.

Next up, I had some of their desserts, which were out of this world. The baklava was flaky, sweet, and perfectly balanced, and the cakes were moist, rich, and delicious.

The service at Mediterranean Deli, Bakery, and Catering was exceptional, with the staff being knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. I appreciated how they took the time to explain the different dishes and make sure I had a memorable experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Mediterranean Deli, Bakery, and Catering to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mediterranean dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the food and desserts are outstanding, and the staff is exceptional. I would give this restaurant five stars and will definitely be returning soon

You could literally hate almost every kind of food and still find something to eat here. That's how much diversity they have on the menu. Easily the largest selection of Mediterranean food that I've ever seen and very well prepared. It can get very busy. I'm from Florida and everytime we're in the area we are here we have to stop multiple times and we still never eat the same thing twice. Highly recommended.

What an amazing find it is!! They put an insane amount or food on the plate at a cheap rate, and it's not possible to finish a whole dish alone. There is sitting both indoors and outdoors. It's very happening with a decent number of people. The variety of food is overwhelming, haha. The chicken tagine is delicious. The date pistachio is too good. Will return to explore all other options!!

From the first call with Liz in the catering iffice all of my expectations were exceeded, any detail I forgot to ask, the catering team covered. Massive portion sizes. This place has so many food options from Mediterranean cuisine. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is decent. I like that they have a grocery store right next to it.

There was a long wait for a to go order but it was worth the wait as it was excellent. Overwhelming amount of choices. Wish the allergy info for sides was included in the online ordering, so I included some photos of the many sides to choose from. I would recommend ordering online for carry out orders.

Consistently great food, variety, quality, portions and service. Great choice for get together a both formal and informal. Great location in downtown Franklin Street.

Chicken Kabab platter, Gyros, hummus, free toppings bar with olives, what more can you ask for? recently prices have increased, but still a ton of food for your money. Must try in Chapel hill if you like mediterranean food.

I couldn’t believe how many fresh and delicious options were available. This was my first time and I absolutely was floored by the quality and taste of the food! I ordered the Moroccan chicken with chickpea avocado salad and tabbouleh. The portions are HUGE as you can see from the photos. The food came out quickly. The condiments bar has various choices of sauces and spices. I live nearly 2 hrs from here but it was worth the drive and I plan to return on another weekend!

Definitely a spot you need to check out. The place is always clean and presentable. The owner is absolutely fantastic. Great family owned business. And the food is top notch. Wonderful place, check it out they definitely deserve your time. Always a pleasure when going here.

Decided on a Mediterranean lunch today & found this place while touring Chapel Hill. Endless choices from the deli with great portion size & prices. You can actually see the food behind the glass counter instead of just guessing from the menu. The gyro was big & very flavorful. Very friendly service. Watching the pita bread being made was an added bonus. The market next door was cool to look through, too. Wish we had one of these back home!

We've been to Med deli a million times and we always find something new to eat and try! There are the old favorites and seasonal specialities. There's something to please everyone! So many vegetarian options and the desserts will blow your mind!

What an astonishing place full of life, tastes, and choices. An improbable and delightful array of delicious mains, sides, and deserts. A friendly, busy, bustling air of orders and people taking numbers to tables, filling drinks, finding tables, and meeting friends. Casual dining environment but surprisingly quick table service. Well regarded owner known for charity and peace. Hopping vibe, scrumptious variety of plates and options, rich sweet treats. Well known by locals and popular with students. Many regular customers. Try something new each time.

Great place with good vibes. Very vibrant crowds. Very cosmopolitan. Good price, great portions and choices. Visible kitchen gives a fresher feel. If you have very high scale needs, white table restaurant then it is not the place. Good for get together and meeting with friends! Not for business meetings unless you book their banquet hall. Love Turkish coffee!!

Just eat there with the family. Everything was fine food wise, although a bit overwhelming with the selection there’s a lot. Seems popular so expect it to be packed on weekends. I recommend the cheese baklava, chicken istanbuli and chicken swarma.
Atmosphere was nice. Nice employees. Will be back.

Been coming to Med Deli since my parents moved to Chapel Hill almost 20 years ago and they never disappoint.

Among other things, the falafel here will make you never want to eat falafel anywhere else guaranteed

Very hard to find parking spaces outside.
They have tables outside for the nice days. They have a Mediterranean market, with fresh bread 🥖.
I love the the self help olives corner with zaatar and olive oil.
I highly recommend this place.

The food was delicious! I got the chicken kabob platter with rice, pita, and grape leaves. They gave me a lot of tazitki sauce though…I will be coming again!

I loved this place! It didn’t come up on google when I did my vegan search of the area - but luckily I walked by.

First of all - packed and busy all the time (good sign!)

Secondly - loads of vegan / vege / gf items!

Thirdly - fast service , nice staff and SUPER TASTY food!

Loved it - GO!
