Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I play Magic here, it's a great spot for both pre-release and commander. The community here is welcoming. As a woman and someone newer to magic I've only been greeted with kindness. I'm confident that if someone would have an issue, the staff would be helpful in resolving it.

Hands Down the best place to play EDH/Commander on the weekend!!!! Saturday from 2-8pm this is the place to be. They also happen to have an amazing selection of singles.

Staff is excellent (Pete's the real deal y'all - absolute quality dude, this man quite literally saved a life), prices are attractive, & the location is clean. This is my favorite mtg store in Tacoma! Really friendly staff who remembers their customers. Pete specifically is quite possibly the best card store guy I've ever seen, and I've been to a lot of card stores. The singles pricing is very reasonable and the staff regularly cuts me deals. Also, commander scene is awesome on Saturdays. They also seem to give a promo card/dice everytime we participate, even though the event is free. The players there are chill and more into casual edh although there is a CEDH pod as well.

These people are super dope. I sometimes have Tic's in public due to my Tourette's and Autism. I stopped in last weekend for a prerelease event. And my personal moments started to flair up. It is generally bad protocol to drop right as deck creation is starting. However I was flailing about and shaking to much to focus. I apologized and left. In the process of leaving I was kindly addressed bye one of the owners. They knew what Tic's are. And showed a ton of kindness and empathy. I will definitely be back and recommend this shop.

Owner and staff are incredible. Good selection, great board games and a whole section devoted to single cards for magic, Pokémon and other card games! Will be returning over and over and over again.

Had a great experience. Went in to buy a chess set. Friendly guy showed me where it was. Lots of cool games I never seen before. Knowledgeable explain how to play. Ended up buying another game. Definitely going back. Had fun conversations about cards.

The employees and shoppers have both been super helpful the two times I've come here. My friends and I were just getting into Dungeons and Dragons and had no mini's, and they all spent some time educating me on how to paint them correctly. Super stoked on how all my minis are coming out!

Great place for gaming needs. Convenient location on 6th ave. I've only been in a few times but staff was friendly. They have a good game selection and cater to MtG and other role playing games but that's not all they offer. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

They also offer a nice discord channel for Magic, D&D, and role playing to help build on the community during the pandemic.

This is my main lgs. Staff are always willing to help out and answer questions. Has that old lgs community feel, and I always love talking to the regulars. Always willing to crack a few packs and play some Saturday commander here.

I have been going to Tacoma games for about three years now for a weekly dungeons and dragons game. The building is great, perfectly suited for a game store and the staff are very very knowledgeable. They have a very full selection of games that you have heard of and games you may have not. They also have an impressive selection of role play games. Our group has recently tried the savage world system and, while different, it is very fun. But also, of course, have a good selection of dice and minis.

I have been going here for more than 2 years now, and I can confidently say that it's the best game store I've ever been to. The people, both players and staff, are just nice people. The draft room is also adorned with great art. Just a really nice place.

I can't say enough about this place, friendly staff, short wait time, and they are willing to order in products especially for you if they run out of stock. I recommend that people who enjoy card and table top gaming come in for a visit. This place has my full appreciation and approval. I bought Catan, and Ticket to Ride Europe, love them!

Great atmosphere, very classy game shop. Love all the board game options & that they cater to many different types of games (tabletop, magic, board games, etc.) Plus the location is close to a bunch of great restaurants and an ice cream store. Easy to play games and then grab food.

My adult daughter and I went on the hunt for a place to get out of the ordinary games for our wintertime family game nights that would accommodate the various ages of our family members and were quite excited to find Tacoma Games. We took the kids with us and headed over for a short drive to the shop and were very pleased that we took the time! The owners are much like ourselves and enjoy a large variety of game play and were attentive to us. They helped us select a few games and we have had a great time learning them. We are looking forward to visiting for some of the game plays and it is a relief to know that we will have a place to get help if we have questions! I am super excited about this new store. Games are an awesome way for families to build great memories.

Hadn't been in a while since I moved further away, but showed up to get a theros beyond death box. They were excited to see me, friendly, and the box was a great price. There was also a packaging error by wizards so the promos were a bit unusually packaged, but the employee was super helpful in explaining why it was that way, that we still got all the promos, and apologized for the confusing situation. Super friendly and helpful staff, and I'll definitely be going out of my way to make it down more often!!!

It's the only place I go to for anything related to MTG products. The staff is kind, and is always willing to help. Their prices are competitive (and believe me I've shopped around). As far as a local game store goes, it's the best there is in the area.

Very welcoming owners. My husband had a question about a game he'd heard about. The owner and his friend had lots of useful information. This place has tons of games, they also have tables for group play and they have scheduled game times for some specific games, such as Magic.
