Always love to come shop at Safeway, the Fairbanks location off of Airport Rd has an amazing staff that showcases amazing customer service. Shoutout to the young woman who helped me with my shopping experience yesterday when I came in for some food and necessities. ❤ ❤ ❤

Safeway has a good floor plan for spacious shopping. If there was only one item I could purchase at this store it would be the artisan bread they make fresh in the bakery. The pharmacy was administering covid vaccines, which we thankfully received today.

We went in as a quick stop before our flight and ordered a sub at their deli. The gentleman behind the counter took a lot of care and pride when he made my sandwich. I didn’t appreciate it as i should at the time because i was in a hurry. But it was clear as i ate the sandwich. It was delicious and his care was greatly appreciated. Best part of my day.

Great In a pinch! I love their availability and later store hours. Some things never change and that's called grocery shopping my friend.

Excellent prices and management assistance, sadly using too much self checkout versus human beings.

Always love the options and always have items available! Update: It's always chaos here, lots going in, but they always have crispitos!

I also gave them top rating at the store as they are currently taking a pin pad survey. They were well stocked and full staffed. That is hard for any store right now so thay alone was impressive. But they were super busy. Not a free cart in the store. Their cart retrievers were on a never ending loop heading out into the negative weather to bring more in and the cashiers never seemed to stop scanning. For anyone who has never worked retail you should understand that they can reach 10000 steps a shift. For the cashiers never getting a chance to lower their arms that leaves them sore. Try holding your arms out for 2 minutes, now think of an 8 hours shift. Many times this leads to the workers to have poor attitudes because they are sore, want to be with family for the holidays, and too often customers have poor attitudes when a store is busy and thay rubs off on them. I interacted with a few staff members and witnessed a few others during my wait. Everyone was laughing and seemingly enjoying their shift. I didn't witness anyone being unprofessional or rude. That is very impressive. I have worked retail management and couldn't always get a team that worked that well. Especially a busy day before a holiday.

Nice selection of products. Could have a bigger selection of beer.

Deli is always fresh and if it isn't, they'll offer to make a new batch for you if you have time to wait. They are always incredibly nice and go out of their way to provide stellar customer service!

Fairly well stocked for Thanksgiving! Getting a little busy, so you may need to pick up a Cashier shift, but otherwise, no issues!

I remember getting jalapeno chips there and some grapefruit soda, they were really nice and this is a good store to go to.

Great selection awesome employees and I always get great parking. They have the best meat prices good fresh produce and their shelves are always stocked.

Safeway saw me looking at the fish counter and even though the manager was off duty with her child came over to me and asked me if I was looking for something special. I told her I was looking for the catfish fillets from Louisiana and she let me know she had just ordered them and they would be in stock and 3 days. They are unbelievable for a boy from the south. Averaging 2 lb each they are not the Chinese farm-raised that you're used to getting. A little trick scrape the dark fat on the skin side off before you slice them up to fry. The fat accumulates the taste of the water they are in and can sometimes be brackish this improves the quality of your fillet tenfold. Fry them in cornmeal with black pepper red pepper garlic summer Savory and tarragon.

I love the convenience of this Safeway. If I just need to grab something quick. Usually not to many people. I like going early morning when no one is there

There was a very nice old lady making sandwiches. Took forever to actually make the sandwich, but she was so nice and we talked about all sorts of stuff. It was like my grandma was making me a sandwich, and it tasted way better because she made it.

Always a great place to shop for groceries. Being open 24 hours a day is amazing, and allows me to shop at a place not so hectic and with a much better atmosphere than Walmart. Staff are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. At times they can be short-staffed in the late-late hours, but that's understandable. I highly recommend!

Visiting from the DC Metropolitan area and since there isn't a Trader Joe's in Alaska I liked that they had a Natural Organic section, but the Lenny and Larry Vegan cookies (not in the Organic section but where the granola bars and ensure/muscle milk are stocked) are a bit pricey, convenience store prices not grocery store prices. They stay open til 1 during the week which is nice

Rosalie in the Deli Department was super helpful last Wednesday morning! I was looking for a veggie wrap and Safeway doesn't have veggie wraps. She opened up the sandwich counter and made me one fresh. Terrific customer service!

I came here recently to buy an insane amount of fried chicken last minute for a work function after being straight up told “no” by the deli at Fred Meyer. Not only was the chicken here super fresh, but the deli employees were beyond helpful and nice. AND the chicken is on special on mondays: 8pcs for $5.99.
Their clearance meat section is always a fantastic deal as well.
