Gallo's Mexican Restaurant

Oh, my goodness!!! Went to Gallo's for family dinner, the end of the Super Bowl, and a day early birthday party. The waitress who served our table was so polite, kind, and helpful. She helped us find food that didn't have any dairy and already knew which food items didn't have any. The atmosphere was lively and exciting! ❤

I was searching for Mexican food in Fairbanks and came across this restaurant. The food was great, ambience was good! Really gave a feeling of being in Mexico. Quantity of food is a lot, so be mindful while ordering. The only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t have Mexican hot sauces to make food hot which most of the Mexican restaurants have.

We ordered Gallo's chicken tostada and veggie enchilada. It was freshly made and chicken was flavorful and tender. Complimentary salsa is spicy and we loved it.
Service was fast and our server was friendly. Vibe is lively and lots of TVs to watch sports. The furniture in the restaurant is colorful and one of a kind

Everything about this place was great. The walls, chairs, tables and other furniture all followed a theme that created a really warm environment.

The food was also phenomenal. There were many great vegetarian options, the food wasn’t too pricey and they had many great options.

The service was exceptional. They made sure to meet every need, and worked exceptionally hard.

We are from Texas where Mexican Food is a way of life. But i have to say...this place rivals any back home. Wife and I both had cheese enchiladas, and in addition, I had a Tijuana Taco. The cheese enchiladas were great. Very cheesy. The taco was different. I tried it as I had never had one like it before. It included beef, beans, and cheese. I probably wouldn't get that again. Too beany and messy. Overall though, this place is really good. We will go back.

Hands down, the best Mexican food I have Had is in Southern California, but this place is almost just as good 👍🏼

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because they didn't have everything that was listed on the menu due to lack of supply and kitchen help, very sad 😞
The servers were welcoming and warm.
Hopefully, next time I am there, I can order anything I want on the menu and then I can give it 5 stars ⭐

Great Place overall. The staff, ambiance, service & food was all outstanding. Food was super fast & super Hot! Be careful not to burn yourself on plates, they do warn you so believe them. Servings are pretty fair, so much that they can actually be shareable.

Awesome Mexican restaurant here in town. Food is delicious, drinks are awesome, but expect to pay Fairbanks prices. Always excellent service, and they managed to accommodate our large group without a reservation on my last visit.

Decent blend of options on the TVs, from sports to news to TV shows, should your dining companions lack conversational skills.

I personally recommend the two tamales combo with a blended jalapeño margarita.

The restaurant was very cute. It gave me the feel of mexico. The food was on time and delicious. Alejandro was very sweet and kind server. Thanks for making my day by getting my bottle that I left at the table, Alejandro.

The restaurant we had planned to eat dinner was closed, so we chose Gallo's. The food was good and service also good. We were waited on and food came right away. My burrito seemed somewhat small, but was good. Overall a good experience and I would go back.

Perfect place to get Mexican food with high quality meat with fresh ingredients and the best chips with the best salsa I've ever tried!!!
You gotta try the veggie fajitas or tacos cause they're 🔥
Regarding the bar and the drinking a it's a great service, lot of liquors and amazingly good IPAs

Great service and good Mexican food for Alaska. Restaurant was clean, staff was attentive, and portions were great. Salsa had a good kick. We had the enchiladas and huevos ranchero, both were good. We’ll be back!

The soup and fajitas were amazing! I have never had a bad or so-so meal at Gallo's. The service is always good and our food came fast.

One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Alaska! The interior is mind-blowing. It deserves more than 5 stars. The staffs are so kind and friendly. The restaurant is Wheelchair accessible. It's a kid-friendly restaurant. One of the few restaurants in Fairbanks to close late.

Excellent customer service, good food and open late. The chips and salsa are great and they have a variety of drink options. I recommend the chicken chipotle and the fajitas.

As a Mexican-American from South Texas, Gallos reminded me of home. The atmosphere is authentic, with colorful decor, a delicious menu, and good service. There is a bar within the restaurant, with big tvs to watch sports. Gallos is open until 11pm, one of the latest establishments in FBX. I enjoyed my experience here, and would encourage anyone looking for real mexican food and vibe to eat here!

OMG! Best enchilada I have ever had. The spinach enchilada! They add there own special sauce on it is soooo good! I also had the halibut taco that also was very tasty! I took a picture after i ate one. It does come on the plate prettier than what my pic shows.

I think this is the farthest north authentic Mexican restaurant in the world! Beautiful painted chairs and very nice staff. Food was fast and very good, fresh, and filling.
