The restaurant is nice and has a lot of different food options.

But the seafood platter was a let down. The salmon was dry and the king crab legs were frozen, so they weren't very fresh.

The restaurant is decorated nicely, though. There are a lot of good spots to take pictures.

I heard it's been around for a long time, and I'm sure it'll be around for many more years.

THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! this is the first time we’ve been in fairbanks and it’s the best meal we’ve had. it was very filling, delicious, and overall just gave us that amazing well-fed feeling. the place the very nice and clean. amazing staff as well, she was able to get us a table even though we didn’t have reservations and they were very full.

What a cute restaurant! The atmosphere is so quaint and cozy. I loved that they had a bit of the history of the restaurant on their menu! The staff was super friendly and helpful! It was cold out, so I wanted a nice warm beverage, and I asked for a hot mocha. Turns out they don't have them on the menu, but they threw in the chocolate that they use to make chocolate milk to a Latte for me and it tasted really good! I loved how above and beyond they went. The food....sooo good! It is a bit pricey, but I knew that going into it. Such a wonderful experience though. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting from out of town. They were unfortunately out of the reindeer medallions, but they offered a reindeer sausage, so at least I got to try reindeer in some form. I ordered the lamb chops, though, and they were divine! The dessert...to die for! Very rich, so I would recommend sharing. They had so many yummy options though! 10/10! When I come back to Fairbanks, I'll definitely be going here again!

The atmosphere is very welcoming, the hostess very friendly. We were seated right away - we had a reservation that evening. The seafood clam chowder was SO DELICIOUS! It was listed as "30 Year World Famous" and it was a well earned title. I ordered the Alaskan King Crab Dinner and my partner ordered the Senator's Steak, it was highly recommended. He's more of a beef guy, while I LOVE crab. My crab met my every expectation - buttery, juicy, fresh, filling. My partners steak, however, did not. It's the reason for the 4 stars on food. It tasted fresh, was cooked exactly to his liking, but it had no seasoning. It was the only issue with food that evening. The mashed potatoes were smooth, creamy and delightful. The two desserts we chose, berry peach cobbler, and chocolate moose cake, were flavorful and fabulous! Would definitely return, and recommend !

If you’re in Fairbanks… this is THE MUST stop spot for a meal. Service (waiter Wes) and atmosphere are best in town. *Make a reservation unless you’re cool waiting or sitting at bar. The bread, the seafood soup, and the halibut were all exceptional. The crème brûlée was on another LEVEL. All desserts are prepared in house BTW.

I loved this place. It’s got a good Alaska feel. The service was great. My Negroni was well done. The dinner was delicious. I had the blackened halibut which was excellent. The halibut was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. It paired well with the sweeter corn risotto which was also cooked perfect. My colleague had the salmon and although it was very good, was a bit over cooked. My other colleague got the seafood risotto and his was not so good. It was a bit too runny. For dessert, the peanut butter pie was tasty but the crème brûlée was excellent. I would come back and may do so again tomorrow.

So, to end our trip to Fairbanks and to celebrate my 41st birthday, we went to The Pump House Restaurant. I had visited it 2 days prior to check it out, and it is what sold me in making a reservation. I made a reservation for 6 adults and a baby, and when we showed up, we were told a new girl took our reservation and forgot to add the baby. Either way, they accommodated us and made it work. Everyone was really nice, and Erin, our server, was on point. I had the clam chowder bowl to start, and my goodness was it spectacular. My main course was the Elk Meat loaf wrapped in bacon, and it was delicious. It was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Personally, I'd say it'd be good without the bacon. The veggies were good, and the mash potatoes were rich and smooth. My wife had the butter chicken salad and said it was really good. My friend and his daughter had the chicken Mac and Cheese and also were impressed. The other ladies also had salads, and all had good things to say. The Crème brûlée was really, really good for my bday dessert. All in all, it was a great experience and will definitely come back when I visit again. 💯🍻🔥🔥

The food was outstanding. My wife ordered the salmon, and I had the halibut. Both came with roasted parmesan potatoes and chef's vegetables. Both pieces of fish were super. They both tasted great. The potatoes were the best roasted potatoes I have ever had. The vegetables were 2 small carrots and a few pieces of broccolini. This was by far the best restaurant in Fairbanks. Hats off to the chef.

We had no reservations so we sat at the bar. We were still able to order the regular menu, enjoy beverages, reindeer medallions and blackened halibut...so delicious, salads and cobbler a la mode. Everything was stellar...our first outstanding meal in Alaska this whole trip...which started a week ago. Highly recommend, wonderful ambiance, next to the river and constantly packed. Make reservations if you can, stay for pool if you like to play, it really is wonderful. A bit pricey if you order all the fixings...but main meal at $40 around high end is very reasonable still.

As luck would have it, we showed up just in time for Sunday Brunch. It was a classic country-club style brunch buffet, and the food was all delicious. I'm not sure I actually ate anywhere near $50 (price + tip) of food... but the ambiance, good service, and overall experience made it worthwhile.

It was our first time visiting Fairbanks so we ended up here based on the suggestions from the locals and it exceeded our expectations.
Our server suggested me the Blackened Alaskan Halibut and it was the best! Even the Grilled Salmon and Creme Brulee tasted good. I will definitely come to this place if I visit Fairbanks again.

Recommended Dish : Blackened Alaskan Halibut

Fresh food and relaxed upscale atmosphere. This was a great experience all around. The calamari was crispy and the king crab legs, while pricey, was some of the best crab I’ve had. The elk medallions were perfect and just what I was looking for. Make sure to make a reservation!

Elk Medallion, Halibut, and Seafood Crowder were excellent. Went twice on our vacation. Blueberry Pomegranate Cosmo and Love Postion are great drinks. Can be seated instantly at the bar. Lots of seating to choose from.

We were seated at a riverside table by a window as requested. Elizabeth was our delightful server (other staff members made sure empty dishes were quickly spirited away) with excellent recommendations. We started with a red wine flight and porter - delicious! The strawberry spinach salad was complemented with feta cheese and candied pecans. The seafood risotto was creamy goodness, and every bite of the chicken Denali was scrumptious. We finished our meal with a slice of Oreo cheesecake, and latte and the best hot buttered rum. Great experience!

Simply the best restaurant in Fairbanks. They have a big bar dining area that has the same menu as the main room. You don't need reservations for that section and its just as beautiful.

Tis a merry eating house, with a warm hearth and delectable fare that nourishes both the belly and soul. The drinks pour and forks clatter among the old-time hall, and I left thoroughly satisfied with the evening. I do declare, I shall return!

My mom and I just recently had dinner for two outside on the riverfront deck of the Pump House Restaurant in Fairbanks, AK. I have gone to the Pump House a number of times over the years, as I am a full time resident here in the Golden Heart City but have never made time to write a review. The Pump House Restaurant is top notch here in Fairbanks with a fun and unique atmosphere inside filled with art and artifacts from Alaska's history creatively displayed throughout the restaurant like the full dog team sculpture suspended from the ceiling.

This was my first time eating outside in the summer on the riverfront deck. It was a gorgeous day, there was a light breeze and lots of sunshine. We didn't make a reservation (which, I would recommend and normally always do) but came right as they opened for dinner and got on the wait list. We had a short wait and opted to sit on the porch and enjoy the sunshine. We waved to the Riverboat Discovery as it tooted its horn and passed by the restaurant.

The service was great! In addition to our server, there were also others designated people who kept refilling water and clearing plates as needed. Portions are large and the food is filling so we decided to share an appetizer and an entree. I highly recommend the crab mac and cheese for an appetizer. It comes with chunks of crab mixed throughout and is so delicious.

For dinner we ordered one of my favorites which is the seafood risotto. My mom is allergic to scallops and they made it easy for us to sub those out and get extra shrimp in their place instead. The risotto is super filling, the fish is all fresh and the portion is enormous.

We couldn't leave without having dessert. The server brought out a huge tray of desserts in lieu of a menu so you get to see what everything looks like and they all look amazing! We got the Oreo cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter pie.

Between the excellent weather, soaking up the sunshine on the deck, getting to sit next to the water, the great service, the delicious food...it's really what summer Alaskan dreams are made of.

This was like a restaurant/bar straight out of Red Dead Redemption! So cool and such a fun place. We arrived at 4:10pm and were told we could have a drink in the saloon as the dining room didn’t open until 5pm, which we would then be seated immediately. I had a chocolate martini and my husband had a hot apple pie alcoholic drink which tasted great!

At 5pm we were sat in the dining room, and our server was Elizabeth and she was SO nice! 11/10 for service!! Being gluten free, I had the lamb chops and they were divine. The meat was cooked to perfection (I asked for medium) and we couldn’t believe it when Elizabeth carried over a whole platter of desserts for us to visually choose from. Very awesome way of seeing the desserts!

We had a lovely time there, it was a little quiet when we arrived because it was so early on, but it started to fill up as the night continued. Would recommend!
