Food Lion

Christmas Eve Food Lion advertised they would be closing at 6 PM I went to the Food Lion on Kerr Avenue and they closed at 5:30 instead of 6 PM. I called and the customer service representative was very rude and hung up on me.
I called the Food Lion on Oleander and ended up speaking with a manager named Deanna. She was very helpful & friendly and actually seems to know what customer service really means!

The Food Lion was remodeled and looks great! I personally love the way they have moved the item's to different iyles and how the frozen food section is no longer to the left at this store but it is to your right. Everyonce in a while every store should have item's in different sections to make it feel like your in a brand new Food Lion.

I went in the morning hours and received fast friendly service.

Well stocked store, and the employees are very friendly and courteous. What stood out for me, was the young man, that's a Cashier. He rang up the items, plus bagged the grocery, double bagged heavy items, and separated items, like all produce together, frozen vegetables together, etc. Truly appreciate that!

Best prices on a lot of staples such as Utz potato chips. Fresh local produce is another thing that Food Lion does well. I also like to buy pork neck bones here too make bone broth. Pork shoulder or butt goes on sale and they price can't be beat. They carry a diverse selection of international condiments too.

Been my local food lion for 6 years. My only complaint is that they turn the lights off in all the the coolers 10 to 15 mins before they close. If I have to do last minute shopping, and I'm being rushed out the door...please leave the cooler lights on until the store is closed. This will help me complete my last minute shopping quicker because I am able to see the products. In short turning cooler lights off before the store closes makes it hard to get out of the store quickly.

This is the grocery store where we shop the most. What it lacks in fancy presentation, it makes up for with good prices and friendly staff. They have some organic produce and gluten-free options. Of course, the basics is what they're known for and the reason to go.
Recently, they updated the self- checkout,
resurfaced and repainted some of the parking lot and added spots for order pick-up.

Basic grocery store with a wide variety of items

My kids and i shop here at least once a week. This store is right around the corner so it's a super convenient location. The staff has been so good to us. very helpful and friendly. We were avid Wal-Mart goers for groceries but Food Lion is very competitive and not nearly as crowded.

Nice folks here. Good selection of things we needed and they had my favorite wine!

This was a very good visit to this particular Food Lion. I had been in two others looking specifically for K.C. Masterpiece Honey Teriyaki Marinade, and the third time was INDEED the CHARM. The young man stocking that aisle was very pleasant and conversational. The young lady at the register, in spite of being overwhelmed with customers and ONLY two registers opened, still had pleasant disposition. My ONLY deduction, if I had to grade that aspect of my visit, would be a point deducted for NOT having an EXPRESS 12 items or less register available. The speed of service, given that circumstance, was commendable! 👍👍👍

On a subsequent visit to this Food Lion, 25 October, I had the experience of a crowded checkout and ONLY 3 Cashiers. I commented that they needed more, as each register had lines back into the shopping aisles; and I was the "Caboose" (car#6 or 7) of my line. Just when I thought it would take a while for me to get checked out, Fredricka, the Associate of my train was not only swift but VERY EFFICIENT. While the Customer in front of me was doing his payment by Card, she was arranging my items so they could be bagged EFFICIENTLY; Blue Bag items first, then the others. I complimented her on those points, and got her name so I could write her up POSITIVELY! 👍👍👍👍👍

Can you really rate a grocery store? It's good I guess. Iv been going here for years.

The cashier was awesome. She really provided me with great service. She was fixing an error of items that were in my pile of groceries that didn't belong to me.

Always a good sale with decent prices and have always been satisfied with the 🍓🍑 fruits & veggies 🍅🫑for sure! Customer Service is always outstanding!

Food Lion has got to be one of the greatest grocery chain stores that I have ever shopped at! The stores that I've shopped at here in Wilmington North Carolina are always very organized and produce is definitely fresh and well taken care of. Employees have always been friendly and kind and willing to go out of the way to help. I am handicapped person and welcome any assistance that I can get what I am checking out at any business that I solicit. Food Lion gets an A+ for that service, IN SPADES, & would recommend that if there is a Food Lion grocery store in your city or area then it would behoove you to try shopping there.

Only the second time I've been in this store but the employees and even customers were so friendly. I was a little surprised about the other customers saying hi as much as they did. If only the world could be as it was in that store today.👍The one at 1929 Oleander

I love going to this Food Lion's deli, Lindsey is a great clerk. He's always friendly, in a good mood, and always willing to help. Way to go Food Lion we need more workers like him👍👍
