Harris Teeter

Having lived in Arlington, Virginia, for nearly forty years, my wife and I have had many experiences, some good, some bad. We've seen forests turned into large shopping malls, small family businesses replaced by huge corporate office buildings, more and more people of all sorts--good and bad--come and go. Now in the autumn of our years, one sometimes feels less in touch with the community and people who live and work here. Today, however, we were reminded of the blessings amongst the bustle: A kind, personable employee of Harris Teeter named Sharon Walker truly went above and beyond in assisting my disabled wife shopping, organizing, bagging and lifting her grocery purchases onto her walker -- all with a heartwarming smile. Ms Walker's cheerful attitude, extra effort and assistance reflected highly upon the professionalism of herself, the employee team of Harris Teeter, and on the Harris Teeter grocery chain in general. Thank you!

This is a great Harris Teeter location. Free garage parking. Selection across the store is good. Huge produce and meat selection. Self checkout is always staffed and moves quickly. No longer requiring masks for those vaccinated per CDC guidelines.

Miss Angela is the best! She is smart, kind, and extremely knowledgeable in her job. The woman is a jewel. If you want something done, ask Angela. She will make it right and make it happen ASAP. The newer, young ones should learn from her how to take care of your customers. THANK YOU, MISS ANGELA!

Over the years I have had well over 100 Harris Teeter subs. Today Janelle made the best one I have ever had. She is very easy to talk to and a great salesperson. Suggesting signing up for the VIP program and talking about all the percs. If every employee made sandwiches like her, Jimmy Johns and Subway would be in big trouble. Thank you!

Awesome Harris Teeter store! I was helped by Vickie and Kashayah and they were both so friendly and delightful. The store is very clean and organized. Great experience! Awesome hot sauce selection as well!

This store is clean, well stocked, and has a great selection of products. I especially love the deli and butcher sections! Boar's Head makes my favorite london broil, and Harris Teeter actually has an excellent butcher with very high quality meat, and frequent sales/discounts! This is my favorite grocery store chain!

Visited the store on June 18, Sunday. Many selections of baked goods. The cashier named Jordan, is very nice and provides good customer service .

Has many items giant food does not. Good prices. Well stocked. Fab produce and Cheese section. Salad bar pricey but great selections Soup selection is good too

It's good, but don't know how to become a vic member. It looks like prices are much higher if you are not. Also they don't accept pay with cellphone

AJ was very helpful and hardworking from restocking shelves to getting items I could not reach! Generally employees here are very nice!

This Harris Teeter is a bit smaller, but still plenty to find!

This is a good grocery store to come to for a quick visit and be able to get almost anything you need. The parking is really easy. It just registers when you get there and then you have to make sure you're out within the allotted time. You can pay if you need to be there longer, but otherwise it's free.

Clean, great produce section being actively worked, Super Attentive Staff as 4 people spoke and offered advice within 20 minutes of visit on a holiday first trip. Manager was super active on the floor and available to receive feedback about my great experience. I’ll make the short trip from DC when I want a great shopping experience.

I went looking for a birthday cake and found a better selection than I expected: The store offered a selection of decorated cakes of various sizes--I only needed one for three people--and the bakery team personalized the cake on the spot. The cake had good flavor and nice decorations, and it was reasonably priced.

The store is clean and the staff are polite.

Parking? It is often challenging to find a parking spot in the outdoor lot, but ample parking is available in the garage. HT validates parking for those who shop (and buy) there.

It's very clean and well organized. The clerks are friendly. Parking can be tricky at the busiest times but it's usually not a problem to find a spot. The parking meters allow 60 minutes free. It seems like The grocery prices are a bit higher than other places but I think that is to be expected given this store's location in the middle of Pentagon City.

My favorite place to shop. It is close to my apartment, very convenient to walk to. It also has so many food options including sweets and cakes and plants.

The prices are fair and as a member you can qualify for the special deals as well. I mostly spend $50 or more each time I visit.

Shopping market. I like coming here. Great selection, nice helpful people, decent prices. Checkout with a person at Harris Teeter is peculiar to me: there is no conveyor. There's just a circular bagging area and the checkout person pulls your groceries out of your cart and bags them. The transition is a little awkward as you roll up behind the checkout and then cross behind them to access the payment area while they empty your cart. Not inconvenient, just unusual. I still like it here.

Harris Teeter never fails and the joy of this quiet and amazing location is that it’s located in the heart of additional stops. You can go shopping and go grocery shopping all within the same time frame.

The store is very spacious and the variety of different foods and products are amazing.
