Walgreens

This Walgreens was a lifesaver for me while I was vacationing. Our car had broken down and the car rental place suggested we try a new battery for the key fob. One of the employees was so helpful and took the time our of their shift to help us locate the right battery, open the key fob and check us out. He even opened the battery package too. I am so thankful for the kindness we experienced from this person. I wish I knew their name to publicly acknowledge them. Thank you kind Walgreens person.

I went in with six people, all with appointments for a booster shot, and the associate, Michael H., was very helpful! The people with appointments only spoke spanish so i had to help translate and Michael was very patient and efficient! Appreciate everyone’s help there and apologize for all the trouble we caused!

This walgreens is so convenient. You can scan your prescription bottle and set up a refill through the Walgreens app. Then you pick it up in store (pharmacy closes at 9pm), and they auto bill you through your CC on file (if you've chosen to put a CC on file).

The Walgreens beyond the pharmacy also has a tap to pay tool at their checkout counters which means you can pay with your phone, using Google Wallet, and don't have to have your CC on you.

Very convenient and innovative Walgreens!

I walked in to get a passport photo for an upcoming trip. Ryan was incredibly helpful, friendly, and got me in and out in no time! Thank you, Ryan!!

They've gone out of their way more than once to see to it that my prescriptions were filled, and that my requests were seen to. Service is quick, and this is the most efficient department I've known....

This review is mainly for Walgreens Pharmacy on Chestnut Street and the one on Lombard and Divasdaero.

But, my go to pharmacy for many years is the location on Chestnut. They’re friendlier, faster and more helpful and the lines for the pharmacy aren’t as bad as the Lombard location.

It may be a chain but the pharmacy on Chestnut is much more like an older pharmacy where the pharmacist and key staff get to know and genuinely care about you.

Carmen, the pharmacy manager the last time I was there is fantastic, always kind and helpful. Her key assistant, Monica, has always been terrific too! Monica always checked to make sure I had my epi-pen with me. Knowing I had a severe nut allergy, she asked me each time!

That’s an example of a pharmacy and staff that sees you, gets to know you and cares about you as more than just a customer.

Overall, the service in the store is just ok but they have the basics you want and need. They were a close walk. At that time, the pharmacy didn’t deliver which was my only issue.

Walgreens on Lombard is much more crowded and I’ve used them in a pinch but, they’re not the same & the aisle you have to wait in is always long.

Chestnut Street has chairs close to the counter & since they know you if you’re a regular, you can just sit down and wait comfortably. I’d call ahead if possible and the wait was never as long as Lombard and Divasdaero.

Both stores have the basics and are probably more expensive than other places for food items but, you’re not going there to stock up on groceries.

Just another Walgreens but in rather a richer part of town. I came in to shop for a toothbrush and was directed to the right aisle by a friendly associate. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes and had a great experience at this location. Also, just want to note that it's located right by the Apple store -in case you happen to miss it!

I'm not expecting much buying food from Walgreens, but come on. This chicken pesto pita sandwich was a scam.

Small store but it has everything that you need from a Walgreens.
