Best Buy Outlet – San Rafael

Have been in the market for a french door fridge for some time and found an LG open box here on the Best Buy website. Plenty of parking in the lot in a very unassuming Best Buy Outlet store which was very quiet the day I went because it was the NFC Championship.

Over 50+ open box gorgeous refrigerators organized by width / capacity, along with many other appliances. We were greeted by Shawn who first helped us get an idea of where to look and answer question, and then Chris also popped in after we were browsing around. It was great having the check ins and also the space to look around. We forgot our measuring tape but fortunately, Chris let us use one of the 2 at the front desk to measure a few fridges.

We landed on an incredible deal, $650 for an LG french door stainless steel with an ice maker just right for our home size (with of course some cosmetic dimples)

Easy to set up and make an appointment for delivery ($100) and install ($25) with a mandatory new water line ($30), and haul away of old fridge ($60) which we declined the latter.

Got the date we wanted, and the 12-hour window of 7am-7pm shortened as the delivery date got closer. The movers worked with us and our tight SF home and we're friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Loved that Best Buy also sent continued messages with resources/tips to prepare us for delivery day including how to prep our space, updated window delivery times, and a phone call the day of before delivery, and a tracker for you to check where you are in the delivery line.

The best deals on high end appliances and good customer service. They have a wide range of options to choose from. Because it's an outlet virtually everything there has been returned for one reason or another. Sometimes small dents or scratches so if you know where it's going to fit you can choose something with damage that will be hidden against a wall. Sometimes the items were used once, but everything works. Shawn was very helpful.(Yes, I asked him if it was okay to use his name in the review) He took the time to walk us through all the options. He was very knowledgeable about the products and did not pressure us to buy anything. He told us all kinds of tips and about scenarios he'd seen with other customers. Since we saw things we liked we decided to buy because there's no holds and no guarantee you'll see the same items the next time you go in. They're inventory is always changing since everything is a one off. I recently purchased a refrigerator 70% off retail and it looks and works great. I also purchased a dishwasher at 60% off that was never used and didn't have any damage. It was missing the mounting kit and the original purchaser returned it for unknown reasons. If you are able to pick it up yourself I recommend it. I also recommend that before you go you take all the measurements of the space, your current appliance, and take some photos of where it will go. We were prepared and it made the experience easy. There were other customers in the store that weren't prepared and weren't sure if things were going to fit. When they go back the item they want might not be there.

The delivery service doesn't tell you what time they'll be there on your scheduled delivery day until the night before so you can't make plans and basically ruin a whole day. The guys who did the delivery were good, safe and efficient. It's just how the service is managed is really bad.

Best deals for appliances. Search Best Buy amd click the open box options. Buy and pick up. Or just go to this outlet store and hunt for great deals.

Very friendly service staff were patient with me taking my time on deciding which model washer and dryer were best for me. Got a great price and was affordable then if purchased new vs a item that had one minimal scratch that wasn't noticeable.
Used them for 2 months now and I love them. They also helped with carry out to our vehicle.

Great place to find discounts! Staff was very up-front about the status of the merchandise. You get the 1-year manufacturer warranty and have to deal with them if you have problems, not Best Buy. They helped us pick out a Samsung washer dryer pair for under $800 (the price of one brand new). Neither had actually been used prior to us. You can tell by the smell of the dryer on first turn on, and the detergent cup of the washer. Been running both for 2 weeks now without issue 😎👌

We happened to come to the outlet when they had a row of about 20 or 30 LG 65" LEDs for just $239! Just what we were looking for. They sold out fast. We are really enjoying it. If you need a TV or large appliance, so here first.

Terrific staff and managers. Over time I have purchased five flat screen TVs, two refrigerators and an upright freezer, all more than 50% less than the original cost. Every one of them works perfectly

My husband and I are sitting in the car freaking out at the great deal that we just got on our washer and dryer set. We saved over $2,000 / new. We are kind of like OfferUp people anyway we don't mind something with a scratch or ding so this Best Buy Outlet was absolutely the best find of the year (perhaps decade). We will be back here for sure to further outfit our house, super thankful we will not have to use OfferUp ever again for appliances. everyone was super helpful, special shout-out to Alan he was totally helpful and knowledgeable about the appliances and function.

This place is THE BEST! No pun intended... There's a normal Best Buy a mile away, but, if you're looking for a good deal on a "new" TV, fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove/oven, and sometimes a microwave or home stereo, then this is the place. Don't waste your time going anywhere else, even online. This place is filled with awesome deals on these things, typically bcuz they are "open box" deals or they have minor cosmetic issues. All of this is openly shared for each item, they rate everything from excellent (or brand new) to fair, and they explain why. Staff is knowledgeable and non-intrusive, as in they just let you wander around looking at things rather than swooping in on you trying to make a sale, very low pressure situation and just honest, which is refreshing and wonderful. They don't have the same selection that a fully stocked Best Buy has, but, if you're looking for any of those specific items I listed, then this is the place to go!

I was in this store to pick up an online order and my review is solely based on the experience I had with one of the employees, not so much about the inventory and such. I was picking up a laptop and had been doing quite a bit of research about them in the days leading to my purchase. I was helped by George when I got there and he helped answer some outstanding questions that I had based on my research and limited understanding of the tech. He was very patient and kind in navigating the conversation with me. Thanks again George!

We have bought several items here with ease. Most recently we bought a giant TV. I had been looking for this TV for a year, and I had left my number in case it did. They called me as soon as it arrived! We have been helped by every member of the staff and each one was friendly, helpful, honest and clear. Alan went out of his way, way out of his way, to help me make a decision about how to get the TV home. He opened the tv box for me, turned it on and showed me the screen, even gave me extra screws for the base. Yes- you should be aware that there are no returns, this is the risk you accept. But in my experience, they go to the limit to make sure you are satisfied. Love this place.

We purchased a Sonos product here for an amazing price; however, unfortunately, it didn't work (after a lot of time spent troubleshooting). Returned to the store and both Jan (manager) and Myra were incredibly understanding and helpful. Jan said we could just return it but, since they had another of the same product, we asked if we could possibly exchange for the other one. They brought it up front, let us look it over and then did the swap. The new one works perfectly and we are both so grateful that we were able to connect with the folks at this store. We will definitely return as often as we can to see what bargains they have and to say hello to this great team.

Within 20 minutes I was a able to find a Samsung refrigerator, oven and dishwasher all under $2,700! You can barely find refrigerators for that amount these days. All are in great condition and so far, so good! Will be heading back anytime my appliances need an upgrade. Just be ready to pick up and deliver it yourself as you're taking a gamble to have someone else do it for you (so I heard).

Open to the public Wed. Thursday and Friday, walked in got my Hood range 50% off and was on my way home super satisfied. Bought Open box item was untouched.

Amazing place probably the best gem in California. Nobody comes close! I found our dream refrigerator that is MSRP $4,000 going for $2,800 still wrapped up open box. You must be crazy not to buy appliances here, and the people are so nice !

The staff are always helpful and there are plenty of displays showing off smart home TVs and high-end sound equipment in magnolia. Also have plenty of appliances large and small as well as computers of course. I've never used their geek squad but it is pretty big area. also parking is really easy with the parking structure on top of the building as well as in front and with all of the covid options such as curbside pickup they make it really easy.

Cool staff, they are knowledgeable and authentic in their mellow attitude that is welcome during these times. Best $ 2K purchase was after all the 2020 shenanigans getting a seriously good discounted fridge. Thanks to all!

Great place to shop! Imagine...basically new TV sets and washing machines.. that are super well priced! Staff is honest and knowledgeable on top of the deals. Come in the door and leave with the best price!

This is my go to place for all of my appliances in my rental units. I get great prices and even better service. I just replaced my three TV's in my house with ones from here, very happy.

Large selection of 36" frigs, scratch and dents. Lots of washing machines and mostly electric dryers. A few ovens, several gas ranges. Most prices aren't that good (discounts are against original retail) but some qualities and price are excellent. Can't forget about the TV's - from small to huge. A good deal is there, you just gotta find it.
