Updated: Today, I went with my dad, and the situation from before with the manager Veronica was resolved, and that issue was taken. Today, I had a quick question for Veronica, and another nice young girl Cat helped me . They are very nice , there are no complaints anymore with this store. So my pior situation shouldn't affect this now. We shop here a lot and we love shopping at 5 Below.

This 5 below is such a huge shame ! For a brand - New, they have absolutely nothing at all. I was gonna buy those Fitness Gloves $ 3.00 when I scanned them up . They range up at $3.25 & and then in had to different prices one was $3.45 & w/ sale tax $3.45 . The gloves were marked $3.00 buy the company, it was not a sticker which an 5 Below employee put on.

I asked for help, and the young men were not helpful! With the $ 3.00 & you add the 6.25%, which is our sales tax for the state of Massachusetts. He was arguing with me & saying that the sales tax was 6.29 %, which he was 1,000 % wrong ! Then I asked to speak with someone who could possibly help take care of the matter.

**Veronica came over & was extremely rude , and the argument was not helpful. ("She said Im not a Robot") ! Those are her exact words, she said , "I'm trying to figure this out & she said I was hey upset & irritated. I was decent/ friendly at first, and after 10 mins of the 2 people trying to figure out how to price adjust, I just lost it & said I want my money 💰back . Then, at that point, they didn't know how to do a return . How do you not know how to do a return?

Then I'd said Im just gonna write a review, just give me my money back & Veronica ,said please write the review, I said I'm (" NEVER") gonna come to this place ever, she said that's fine ! And as I was leaving loudly said, please write that review. When I came home with my best friend, they screwed me out of my exact money. I paid $5.00 and never received my $1.00 back. Horrible experience.

A salesperson by the name of Tammy was really friendly & super helpful, really went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for, wish there was a salesperson like her at every store.

Wonderful variety of inexpensive shtuffs! I love their t shirts!!! Always friendly staff :)

Always spend more than I plan on, lots of stuff you won't find anywhere else and for 5 bucks or less

It's a great place for cheaper t-shirts and excersise light weights and things for yoga classes and much cheaper than the other stores,but the floor pads are thinner than the other stores! Plenty of other things for the kids and a few books that are good for more cooking ideas, and tips for living a better, and healthier way a not bad for snacks either! A little something for everyone!

This was a clean, well organized store. Every five below I've visited (except one) had very kind and friendly employees (WCU should take some hiring classes from Five Below) I had an order to pick up and I also shopped. Very pleasant experience. Thanks Shrewsbury -5⁰ers. (My way of shortening thebmane Lol)

So many things in my house from this store. They have a good range of items. I also love that it’s all self checkout. The less I have to talk to people the better haha! The staff there were all really nice though. If you have trouble checking out they will rush over to help you and are very accommodating. Definitely recommend checking them out if you need cheap toys for kids, pet stuff, house decor or even like cheap tech and gadgets. Got my red gaming mouse pad from them months ago and it’s better than the ones on Amazon people pay 50+ for!

Cooperative staff. Loved the way young staff address as we enter the gate " Hi, welcome to five below". Place is full of enthusiastic staff. Always love to visit it for birthday gifts. Keep introducing new stuff which keep customers glued to it. Excellent!!!

Well organized and well behaved young n cooperative staff. Great ambience. Wonderful Tees, plush toys, age specific toys, pet toys, beautiful beauty gifts, perfumes, yumm candies n lot of gift options. Love to visit this place to explore more n more.

It’s great! I’ve been there a couple times every time I came threw the doors I hear “hi welcome to five below” and I love how the staff are very nice and helpful.. AWSOME place! And they have lots of stuff to choose from!

I went in to the Five Below in Shrewsbury this past week for the first time and I am in love! So many great things to choose from! The manager offered me a basket and by the time I finished she’d helped me fill two of them with stocking stuffers! Also, those giant candy canes now like my staircase ❤ I am a big fan for life. Thanks Five Below for a great store!

I bought that last December and yesterday too. Good price, most 5 dollars, and some 10 dollars. Some 5 dollars less alike candy 🍬. Some good stuff. 👍

The store has fun items for reasonable prices. Good for adding extra gifts for birthdays and celebrations!

Bruh it's in the name. Five below. The stuff they have their is unbelievable for how cheap it for 5 dollars and under no joke. Theirs tons and tons of stuff they have and the store is pretty pretty honestly. Theirs toys, food, candy, snacks like chips, shirts, pants, leggings all those clothes, hoodies, hats, footballs, soccer ball, basket ball, volleyballs, toy balls, fidgets, Halloween stuff now since it almost here. And the have way more...I just listed 5 percent of what they have 🥴

~One Year Review~
It is August 20th, 2022 and FiveBelow has been in Shrewsbury, MA around a year now; while they are a great store to grab the latest and trendiest items cheap....I feel like their CEO (Formerly of Zany Brainy) is taking a "too familiar" road that he should turn back on before it becomes too late and here's the reasons why:

1. 5 Below!!! It's meant to be $5 and UNDER. If you're going to add higher priced items, maybe it's time to consider a name change since your name contradicts the stores mission.

2. 5Below was once known as Zany Brainy, which was owned by FAO Schwartz' David Schlessinger. Zany Brainy filed Chapter 11 in 2001 ultimately shuttering their last brick and mortar stores in 2003.

3. People in the Worcester/Shrewsbury area want more stores that are like how Dollar Tree USED TO sell items for $1 each between the gas increases, product shortages, etc....I honestly don't see this being recognized as a lucrative idea in society today.

About Shrewsbury, MA store:

The employees are always helpful, polite, friendly and knowledgeable with their stores products. The last time I was there all the Iphone cases 12-13 pro max were all sold out and people were asking for them. The self checkout did not flow customer wise like it did last year as now you have A LOT of rude customers who rather push paying customers out of their way or even complain about how they have to wait. Self scan also is a flawed system since there is usually one employee working it.. a customer can be asking for assistance, while another is taking advantage of that time to steal from you all. Sadly....Fourth of July/Summer is over and IT IS STILL OUT ON THE SHELVES and a-lot of the room decor has been on the shelves since last Summer's opening.... Oh my gosh, this is the same practices I saw over 20+ years ago at the ZB stores that put them out of business.

Joel and David may want to step up their game, asap.

Want to give a big shout out to Carman and Aaliyah (apologies if I typed in the names wrong) they are so sweet and very helpful. These girls need a raise!
