Hey Neighbor Cafe

Really nice coffee shop, with the coolest patio garden. There was an awesome shop dog there I got to meet, and the staff was super nice. Coffee was excellent, I got a vanilla late. I'll definitely be back!
Edit to add they also have parking, which if you ever travel in the city, you know is hard to come by. It's on a quiet little alcove.

Delicious and artfully designed space. The coffee was excellent and I’m glad they have decaf. The design of the space is great with wood used previously on water pipes for Hetch Hetchy dam used as the ceiling decoration.

And there’s a tiny garden area also.

Just be aware that there’s not a lot of food, just toast. And, there’s a number of seats but only one real table in the small space. And there is a bit of noise from the freeway.

Overall, it’s a very creative and fun space

A beautiful homey place with delightful service, it was a pleasure to say goodbye to this city with one last drink from this lovely café.

This place feels like a secret discovery, right next to a beautiful urban garden project. The coffee was great, and I liked the feel of the place a lot. Highly recommend.

Unassuming location off San Bruno, not sure why it took me so long to visit this amazing neighborhood spot? Pastries and coffee are excellent. The owners are funny and friendly, and the cafe is next door to a gorgeous garden. 100% my new favorite cafe in SF.

Absolute gem of a cafe. Where do I start. The wonderful community garden outside? The four barrel quality of coffee? The espresso and praline pairing? The rize up bread? The concrete art interior? The wonderful two women who own and run the place? The neighborhood vibe? ... Well, all of it. This place is so wonderful. I will be a regular and i live 30 mins away! Keep it up you two!

This is by far one of my favorite coffee spots in all of San Francisco. It not only has some of the best coffee but also amazing atmosphere and people.

Saw their article in SF Gate this morning and figured I'd check it out. WHAT A GEM! I ordered a black coffee and it was perfect, wife got a latte (pictured with truffle pairing) and she said it was very, very good (she's a tough critic). There is a beautiful garden right outside where you can enjoy your drinks and they have ceramic mugs for enjoying your drink on site! 10/10, will be back often and don't even live in the neighborhood.

Portola's gem. 3rd wave-ish coffee - dark but not French Roast. The toast makes bread great again - wouldn't trade it for a regular pastry. The vibe matches the name

We had an amazing visit to Hey Neighbor on a rainy day. Delicious capuchino and some wonderful toasts. Can’t wait to come back.

What a great cozy find! I got a latte and black sesame toast with cream cheese and jam. Everything was so delish and I loved the vibe. I even bought a bag of the beans, so tasty👌

Delicious artisan coffee and black sourdough bread! This cafe is so vital to the neighborhood, and is already a locals' fave. Co-owner Dee is an excellent barista too :) Support local independent businesses!
