Oriental Market

We're really fortunate to have such a well-stocked Asian market in our community.

This little place has been here for ages, at least 20 years.

It has a mix of canned goods, dry goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, a good selection of fresh mushrooms, cold food (i.e. miso paste), frozen foods and household items.

It's an adventure to explore the shelves and see what you can find. For many Asian recipes this is the only place in town that you're going to be able to find the ingredients.

Service is always friendly.

Update: I pop by about once a month and they are still delightful. It's worth mentioning that they are closed on Mondays.

Local owned and operated. Best place in town to get everything you need for Chinese, Japanese, Tai, and Korean cooking. They always have what you need. If you aren't sure about something in a recipe just ask the owners. They are happy to help.

I love this store! They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want! The gentleman there was sooo kind and helpful! He pointed me in the right direction quite a few times for certain items I needed. They have MANY snacks, noodles, cooking ingredients, and drink mixes. I tend to adore Korean, Thai and Japanese snacks. I purchased their kimchi. Its amazing! They had tons to choose from. I took my time and explored the store. I look forward to going again!

I came in 30mins prior to closing and the amazing employees treated me so kindly. They had everything I was looking for and more!

Always happy to see ahjussi and his wife. There is alot of selection to be had here. Ahjussi and his wife are helpful and friendly. She also makes home made sides amd sells like waxed corn and delicious Japchae. Can find fresh kimchi and other banchan. (Side dishes)

The owners are always so nice and it’s the only place I can get the Kimchi stew!!

The owners are so friendly and always so helpful! My family is here at least once a week for various grocery needs and they’re really well-stocked in most Asian grocery items. Cannot recommend this store enough!

I love this spot. I don’t get to visit often, but I make sure to have plenty money when I do so I can stock up on all of the snacks that my family and I enjoy. I wish I could give them six stars because this is the only place I can seem to find lumpia and the honey ginger tea I love so much. The staff here are also very helpful and will answer questions I may have about certain items. It’s definitely worth a visit.

The store owners both husband and wife are so nice. I’m glad we have this store here in Goldsboro. There are variety of Asian goods. I mostly shop for Thai cooking ingredients and I can find almost everything I need there.

I love going there! I discover something new every time, and they are the one place to get lemongrass. Some of the veg is hit or miss, depending on when it was delivered, but it is my favorite Oriental market in the area.

This place is a unique treasure in Goldsboro.
As far as Asian grocery stores go, this is the only one that I know of, and I sincerely doubt that even the big competitors have everything this place as, especially kimchi ("pickled cabbage").

If you're looking for authentic Korean goods, especially if you can't find it at Wal-Mart, Harris Teeter, etc, then try here - I wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up having it.

They have a great selection of food, prices are very good and staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

my absolute favorite store in Goldsboro - always so kind and willing to offer assistance and advice. lots of great snacks too and odds and ends, kitchen supplies, and various other products such as health and beauty, frozen and fresh produce, and just about everything you could need. i would highly recommend this market to everyone.

Wow. I LOVE this store. The homemade Kimchi is the best cabbage I have ever tasted,definitely worth the smell! (Lol)...I'm going back tomorrow for more to stock up! They even have different varieties of mochi ice cream! I was surprised to find Dango, little Mung Bean Cakes,Yakgwa,and Durian,as these are fairly hard to come by in the states or are always out of stock. I would reccomend this place to anyone!
