Safeway

After being a faithful SAFEWAY shopper the majority of my 65 years, I was SUPER excited to find out I had won a fantastic prize. Thank you SAFEWAY, I'll continue to be a faithful shopper till the end:)

Safeway never deviates from the good hometown local grocery store vibe. I wish they'd come down on prices and get better produce in smaller stores. Over all i love the butchers deals. I love SafewayI save tons on meat.

Today I noticed an employee providing five star experience and hard work. His name was Andrew (w/Black and Orange Hair Incase you have more than one Andrew) as I went back in and asked the manager, Young kids these days don't always look like they will be hard workers but Andrew helped to bag my groceries and when I think he realized I was going to tip him he stepped away to help somebody else. When I caught up with him he was busy finding other work to do, gathering carts and organizing the front of the store. I attempted to hand him my tip and he said he could not take it, that it's not allowed. Which is unfortunate as I always think that hard work should be rewarded when able. Anyway he continued to go about his work, went outside in cold weather gathering carts and hurrying to get them in for customers coming. Usually you see kids these days unless they're directed to do something specific scrolling their phone but he seemed to find plenty of things to do and in just a few moments, he went from bagging groceries, to helping behind the customer service desk, to tidying the front area and carts and then went outside to gather more carts. He was already bringing them up to the front before I could drive away. Very impressed with this young man and his work ethic, he surely deserves recognition. I would be honored to have someone this hard-working work for our company.

Always clean and friendly. If they are out of something I can ask Jeff and he would check into it for me, and put a hold on whatever I need. Joe in the meat department is amazing, since I'm always coming up with new ideas for dinner. The cashiers are the fun part of my shopping cause I know when they are having a bad day and I'll tell them a corny joke just to bring a smile to them and vice versa. The store staff is always friendly 🙂

Great selection but the prices are to high, higher than everyone else in the business, prices are even higherno change

This Safeway is polite, knowledgeable, goes out of their way to help the customers, and doesn't get uppity and make assumptions that one's S3 card "has no balance left" ( info they do not have access to)... because this Lakewood Mall Safeway's cashiers know how to ring them up! I'd go here over the other Safeway any day!

This is my favorite store... Friendly staff.... Clean store.... Even long lines move fast....

This location on Gravelly Lake Drive is always clean and well-stocked. Their power chair carts are charged, and they have a few. It is close to Pierce Transit bus stops for minimal walking. Customer service line is quick on most days.

Man prices are unbelievable these days no wonder why people shop lift omg outta control.

On more than one occasion, the cashier talks to the customer behind me while checking me out. It would be nice if the clerk would inform the customer in line to wait until their turn. I find it really irritating to point out the clipped coupons that didn't ring up correctly. Even though the cashier can correct the mistake, it takes up to much time. I don't like to be held up, and i don't want to be the one holding up the line. This has happened to frequent to be a simple mistake. I wonder how many Safeway shoppers think they are getting coupon discounts, but the discount is left at the register. I'm done with Safeway. BTW, Kroger just acquired Safeway/Albertsons. You know the one who joined forces with Fred Meyers a while back. The very same grocery store who left lakewood shortly after it became a city and moved just across the city line building a new store in University Place. The parent company has already announced some stores will be closed.

This Safeway may be too big. A phenomenal selection.
The nice thing about this Safeway is that there always seems to be a worker wandering about that can give you the right answer about products and location.
I have military commissary privileges, but I'm sick and tired of how much they change/drop items.
This store- convenient and efficient.

Milton Safeway definitely is freaking awesome!! Thank you to the two associates who work self checkout!! They know what the definition of customer service is!! They can school all the retail associates and anyone who offers a service to the consumer actually!!. First I had a coupon from Safeway to get free donuts and if course it was not working. Then wheñ n another relatively the same thing occured when I attempted to purchase ice cream when the my rewards and that was an embarrassing no go! But when I explained what happened they gave me the ice cream. For Natha, zilch. Free for me! The bonus was no assuming I was fibbing or trying to "get one over on them" because of mislabeled products. (Walmart (cough cough) forgetting to correct prices and not labeling the product with the correct prices). (Cough cough) then cashiers being rude and plain as day accusing me if trying to steal. First it's not stealing if you buy the product and second it's shrink if I pay less then it's worth. I gots me some integrity! Mmkay!! So waste your accusations on your wife. Leave me b lol jk

Jeff is such a good manager? I have seen him treat the customers and his employees very well all the time. At the store he is always on the move and doing something modeling to his coworkers what a good employees looks like. I go to other safways amd his is the best by far hands down. Thanks Jeff for all u do!!!

Large store, easy to shop, a much larger variety of items, with wider isles then a typical Safeway. We drive past 2 other Safeway's to shop here.

I was waiting in a long line and they opened another line to help us get in and out of the store quickly! Now that's some great customer service.

I just want to give praise where it's deserved. Corrie at Safeway went above and beyond to help me when I locked my keys in my car right before they closed at 1am. Jeff was also very helpful in letting me use the phone multiple times to make arrangements for a locksmith as my phone was broken and couldn't make phone calls. But Corrie, this girl waited over an hour with me, let me sit in her car, so that I wouldn't be left alone waiting outside the store in the parking lot. I appreciate her and her kindness so much!! It's so nice to know there are still good people in this crazy messed up world we live in. Thank you so much Corrie!!

The staff here are fast and dedicated. The deli folks are all super kind and will get you whatever you need. I imagine that this location is a big hotspot for daily groceries and I think that the store handles peak traffic very well. It can get crowded, but it hasn't been dirty any time I've gone. You can generally find at least one staff person per department if you've got questions, and they have a great selection of spices and multinational foods. 👍
