Hy-Vee Grocery Store

Big store with reaonable pricing. Very big with ample parking.

My go to for grocery stores, they have good options at good prices. They often have excellent deals on sodas as well, not much else to say, to be honest.

We used Hyvee on Waterfront for our florals at our backyard tent wedding. NICOLE IS AMAZING. She brought our green and white minimalist vision to life. We cannot thank her enough for her flexibility, as our venue changed at the height of the pandemic. THANK YOU for your artistry!

Hy-Vee is the go to grocery place for both my family and I and I absolutely love the deli food, it is so cool that Hy-Vee has cooks that cook food themselves, it’s really delicious! I’ve never been disappointed in my Hy-Vee groceries or food and trust me, I would tell you if I was because I’m a very honest person!

I can usually find what I'm looking for, but on the off chance that I can't, there are plenty of people willing to help me out. It might not be in every aisle, but there still is a helpful smile.

The Starbucks at Waterfront, employed by Hyvee, have some of the best batistas in town!

Really nice store. Well designed, clean and well stocked. I'm from Davenport and will say this one has a much better selection then my local Hyvees.

This was an attractive, clean, and orderly store, with polite and friendly staff. It was a delight to visit. I will make it a habit.

I catered Hy-Chi and it was super easy, on time, and great food. Shoutout to Chase and Jen, they were both fabulous!

Stopped in for a few quick things and the customer service was amazing. I needed help with figuring out where a product was and a manager named Haley was so friendly and took me right to the product. Definitely will be coming back again.

This is a review not for Hyvee itself but for Connor in the pharmacy at the Waterfront Drive location in Iowa City. Connor was not able to fulfill my prescription today for my dog, as I did not bring in the correct paperwork. Connor did his best to contact the specialist that prescribed the medication and was unable to get ahold of them due to them being closed all week for the holiday. Connor immediately called me, summoned me back into the store and explained the entire situation to me. I feel as if he went above and beyond what was expected of him. Please acknowledge Connor and make sure he receives accolades for this. He seems like a really great man. Give him a raise.

Found what I needed. Asked for help and was able to get items for dinner. This store ROCKS!!!

I love this store. People are so friendly. I've been going there for years for years and it feels like family. Got to know my favorite cashier!!! There us truly always a smile in every isle. A large Hy-Vee with a florist and a liquor store. Patronage is mixed race, mostly black and white, working class and mostly young late 20s - 30s with kids. Employees are fine, bad for a Hy-Vee, but average for a grocery store. Expect average customer service. Good prices, as you would expect from a Hy-Vee. Large parking lot.

This location is always clean, well stocked and staffed enough that you can find an employee if you have a question. Their floral dept is surprisingly good and the liquor section has a great selection of beers brewed in Iowa.

The fresh food here is always good. Customer service is great. They have some different culture food options (of course not as vast as going to an actual cultural grocery store). Their alcohol options are also very good. It's nice not to have to go to both a grocery store and then also a liquor store. They have nearly everything you could want. Their bakery is also quite good.

Super friendly staff at night. Will go above and beyond for you- asking after your safety in parking lot, reminding you of upcoming deals, etc. It’s pleasant just chatting while checking out. The only negative, and I know it’s not their fault, is how much prices have increased. Sure would like to know the salaries in corporate. I’ve no doubt they could cut back a bit and pass some savings on to us. I’m sure Wal-Mart corporate are even greedier but their prices are usually substantially less. Please don’t make me become one of the people of Wal-Mart!

Convenient, with great staff. They are quick to open new cash registers when lines in the main area of the store start to get long. Beer and wine selection is amazing but often checkout in this area is slow and under staffed. The drive up Pharmacy in the front is a bit odd but still convenient. Overall selection on all grocery products is quite nice!
