Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

It's the night after Christmas. My wife and I are visiting from Mexico having dinner with my boys. A simple meal at Perkins turned into an unexpected pleasure. Jim the manager made us immediately feel welcome and the serving staff was responsive and kind even after the long holiday hours. They treated us like friends. Jim even got my boys to pose for pictures with us. (something they never do) Thanks for the wonderful meal and holiday good cheer, we will remember it for years.

Amazing food! The chef burned my first chicken fried steak and she brought me a new fresh one! Kim is the best!! Definitely will be requesting her next time I’m here!

Went for first day of grand re opening! Very well staffed and lots of corporate helpers running around. I am hoping they will remain well staffed. Great service and breakfast at night is always my favorite! Limited menu until they get the kitchen fully trained, but we had no problem finding our favorites.

F A N T A S T I C!!! Omgoodness!! If you have never tried the #CaliforniaBenedict you don't know what you are missing! I got mine with turkey sausage instead of bacon because of allergies, hashbrowns with onions, and fruit - IT WAS AWESOME! Our server, #serverHannah, recommended this dish and it rocks!

Mom got the Belgian Waffle with two eggs and a piece of turkey sausage. We both brought home half of the servings because they were so big.

You have to ask for Hannah! She has a great personality and is a good server. Management is also on point with ensuring a great customer experience! The food was very good, and filling! Especially the Country Fried Steak and gravy!!! Yummy and fork-tender! The atmosphere was quite comfortable, though being from GA, it could have be a touch warmer -- 😂
We loved the overall experience and can't wait to come back!

Kimmy provided fast friendly service and was very efficient with the order, refills on drinks, and making sure we had everything we needed. The wild berry pie was a great way to finish the meal!

Took my mother-in-law to Perkins today for breakfast after my Dr appointment at Iowa River Landing location.
Perkins was updated, bright, beautiful, service was excellent & the food was absolutely delicious.
Our waitress Sherry U was soo busy with many customers & she still managed to remember everything they all wanted, kept checking-up on all of her customers & even kept the plates cleared of the table when you were done! Absolutely had my head spinning just watching her!

We'll both be happy to revisit this one!

Kim was absolutely amazing! She was always attentive and made sure all of our food came out fresh. I loved her energy!

Everything was delicious! The chicken strips were and tender and deli soups and the fries are great!The bacon and toast were also yummy! It’s like iHop but better b/c they have so many choices! I’m a picky eater but I devoured most of my plate. I highly recommend this place!

Whenever I'm driving coast to coast I love stopping by Perkins in Coralville, Iowa After a long exhausting drive having a friendly face of Kim to greet you with a smile and suggest to you the options they have just makes trip totally worth it. I love going here for the service, food and atmosphere. Thanks Kim for making my trip a wonderful experience.

Megan was our server again today. We enjoy her personality and her excellent service. She is one in a million and the main reason we chose to eat at Perkins when we're in Iowa City. Keep up the great work, Megan!

The food was good as expected but Kim was incredible! Great place to stop just off 80. And yes I took a bite before I took this picture.

I don't give out 5s very often. Or waitress was a little busy but not once did she go pass us and now say something. She always came to check on how we were doing. Was the food okay. That was some great customer service. Oh, and she had a smile on her face and talked to us. It was a great experience. Major plus, they had turkey sausage.

Sherry was an awesome server! She was super friendly and accommodating when we had 2 extra guests join our already large group.

We were very much impressed by our server Sherry U she was super nice and on top of everything made us feel very at home and comfortable food was great would definitely recommend!!!

Dalton is a very good waiter he was very quick and adds a good comedic touch to the meal also makes a darn good pie

Misty was our server and was a delight! The restaurant was clean and the food was served hot and in a timely manner. We will definitely be going back in the near future.

The service from Kim was excellent! She was cheerful and polite to all of the customers. Quick! Food was good and she was attentive.
