Peking Buffet

Sure the paper plates and utensils aren't the coolest thing, but the food was pretty decent!
Our server was the sweetest thing ever, and it was really frustrating to watch her be mistreated by a nasty customer, but she handled it well and thanked us for our kindness.
If you are going to a buffet, you shouldn't be expecting gourmet cuisine in my opinion. I would be sure to go during a busier time, as the food rotates more quickly.

food was amazing everything I had was authentic and delicious. For the price you can’t beat it!! The service was excellent definitely will be coming back. One of the best hot n sour soup I have ever had.

Their seafood yum yum 😋. I love the crawfish w/ jalapeños & onions. Shrimp. The mushrooms garlic beef, crab rangoons, egg rolls, on rotation for me. At dinner for xtra $15 Crab legs per lbs. Have to ask staff.

We were traveling and bypass the small city. We were lucky to try this restaurant for our lunch. They have plenty good varieties of sushi and seafood, which are my favorite and with reasonably price. The waitress are nice and polite. Will come back again for next travel.

Love the food, always fresh and hot!! I wish they would go back to using glass plates and regular silverware instead of paper plates and plastic forks.

Fast and friendly service, for 15$ you get hibachi and all you can eat. Flounder is good.

On my latest visit to Iowa I stopped here and ate four different times with my friend Brian. I have been living in Southeast Asia for three years now and this was just a suggestion he made for me to comfort the stings of my longing for good Asian food. I wouldn’t go so far as to say the food is as good as it is over here in Cambodia, however, it made for a decent evening meal, and as far as the price goes, it was fair for an all you can eat buffet.

Best Chinese buffet in all my travels. I ❤ my trips back to Iowa city. This is always my treat to myself before leaving town. If you haven't...you better!!!

Bathrooms are pretty gross, but most restaurants seem to have gotten that way lately anyways.....but the food is YUMMY. 😋

The food was very good. They are still using paper plates and cups, I would prefer regular dishes and silverware but since I enjoy the food so much, I am ok with it. It is a very clean restaurant.

They offer a wide selection of foods. Everything I had was tasty. I did not care for the paper plates nor the plastic utensils.

The food and service is good. They might be understaffed and their employees underpaid but for the price you’re charged, nobody should be daring to complain about this place. This is not a refined restaurant, is an All You Can Eat type of place where you must know before going that you might not like the amenities or people inside but at least you’re getting your tummy full for an affordable amount of money.

Food was pretty good, service and atmosphere were good. GREAT value for money. I was pleasantly surprised!

This place has been one of my favorites for around 20 years. It is still so good! The buffet food is amazing. So much variety. Sushi there is good too. I have never been disappointed with a meal at Peking.

My favorite place to go near Iowa city the staff are super friendly and the food is way better than I expected considering it's a buffet. The sushi is good too! I have eaten here several times and never had any problems!

By far the best Chinese buffet I've had around Iowa so far. Really big variety of different food options, including a build your own stir fry, sushi, ice cream, salad bar, and much more. Even with so many options the food was great quality and tasty. The service was lovely too, and the establishment was clean. I definitely recommend going here.

We went on a Sunday, early afternoon, and what a great time to go! The items ran out quickly as the house was bustling with happy lunchers. That worked to our favor! Most everything we chose from the buffet was freshly refilled so it was even tastier than normal! Some of the items are through-the-roof tasty if you can get them that hot-off-the-press! (I do wish HotTea was still part of the deal.)
