Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

TLDR: we had a great time at sherwin Williams Valparaiso and Griffin is AMAZING.

It might sound dramatic but our experience at sherwin Williams Valparaiso was nothing short of amazing. Griffin was the absolute sweetest person and helped us pick out great colors to sample. He took the time to listen to our opinions and doesn’t take anything personally if you don’t like a color option. He was quick to access what swatches to show us just from a short look at my kitchen & living room photos. This conveyed his knowledge of trends and his expertise on matching colors to the room and atmosphere clients are asking for (picking paint is exhausting so less time spent is very nice). He also saved my husband from buying huge trays just to pour samples and picked out a 6 pack of brush heads which was exactly what we needed. This was the most random place to get amazing customer service but we are so incredibly thrilled and hope to work with griffin/sherwin Williams for all future projects!

The owner Tom and employee Will have always taken care of me at this store. Newer employees are doing excellent as well. I am always impressed with their knowledge, recommendations and follow ups. I have gotten personal calls from them asking if there is anything they can do to help me grow my business, give me good deals and so on. They are friendly and knew me on a first name basis immediately when I started going to their store for my painting needs. Highly recommend.

The employees at this location have always been friendly and helpful. At my last visit the person who checked me out even added a $10 off coupon that I didn't even know about in addition to the 40% off special they had. The store itself is "no-frills" but conveniently located on the near-north side of town. Perfect for when you just need one thing to complete your project and don't want to battle the traffic over by the big box stores on the east side.

Staff was happy to assist with questions, our paint and primer. Even shook our older can of Sherwin Williams paint. Helped me by carrying to the car. Only thing he wasn't able to do is paint the walls for me. But we got it done and the paint covers nicely. Good product and we will continue to shop here.
