From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with the warmest smiles from their exceptionally friendly staff, setting the stage for a delightful experience. But the real stars of the show are their reclining seats - oh, what a joy! They're not just comfortable; they're like cozy clouds in a cinema heaven. There's ample space to stretch out, ensuring every moment of my movie experience is in pure comfort. I particularly love the extra room for my arms and legs, allowing me to relax fully without feeling cramped.

The overall ambiance of Emagine Theater adds to the experience. It strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, enveloping you in just the right vibe for movie watching. This is a nice movie theater. It has a rewards program (a free and paid version), a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, and it also appears to have a bar.

Those are all nice, but the thing that stands out the most, to me, is the reclining chairs. You can lay back in your chair however much you want by pressing the control buttons on the side. It makes watching a movie extremely comfortable and relaxing.

I look forward to going back to this theater again; even paid for their advanced rewards program the day after visiting. The only thing I don't like is how you get your concession stand items. You order your popcorn or food at the counter first, then you go to another counter to get your drink cup and to pay for everything--including your popcorn, drink, and candy.

The reason I don't like this is because it feels like too many separate ways to do one thing. After you do all that, you still have to fill up your drink at the FreeStyle Machine. Just seems like it slows you down a lot instead of speeding things up. But other than that, I'm really glad they reopened this theater after Covid.

I've never been a movie theater fan, however, I love this theater and now enjoy seeing a movie here. Heated and reclining seats got me hooked! The Ebar is a great addition even though haven't checked it out yet. Food delivery is a nice service as well. Great Job Emagine Portage!!

We came here as a family of 4 for our first movie night out and it did not disappoint. The prices are reasonable, especially in this economy... I was pretty satisfied. The place is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. The food and snack options are good. We will definitely be back as long as they continue to show family appropriate movies!

Had a great night with the kiddos! Clean and love the seats. Even on a busy night we had no complaints!

Friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities the recliners are comfortable and even have heated seats. The couches are decently comfortable and a cool concept. Prices for tickets are very reasonable. I haven’t had the popcorn or concessions, but they do have the coke machine things which is nice to have a wide variety of drink options. Highly recommend!

This was my second or third time coming to Emagine. This particular location is very clean. The staff are friendly and the overall experience has been great. I think the food is overpriced, but I guess that's to be expected. If you are reading this and it's your first time considering Emagine, then here are some pro tips: 1) you can order your food and eat inside the theater. They have more than just popcorn. Sliders, pizza, etc. 2) there is a bar in the lobby. Again, you can order and enjoy your drink inside the theater. 3) the seats are recliners. Be careful! Those things are comfy and you may fall asleep :)

Just simply the best movie theater in northwest Indiana!

After the new management, this theater has received massive upgrades!

Not only do the chairs recline, but they are both heated and cooled!!

If you can, bring your own snacks in so you don’t get absolutely robbed.

Also Lexi is the best employee here. She was helpful and sweet in assisting me in my movie going endeavor.

I love this theater. I loved it before the upgrades, & I love it even more now. It still maintains its reputation for great customer service and cleanliness. I last visited a couple weeks ago on a Friday night, to see the new Exorcist movie. Even with a fully booked theater, the popcorn was fresh, drink stations were clean, the theater floor wasn't sticky & the seats weren't either. I live minutes away from another theater, but I make the 25 minute drive to Portage because I know I'll have a better experience here. They also have a bar and an upstairs area that I've yet to try, but I'm sure those are nice too. As long as they remain open, I'll be a repeat customer🙂

I've never been to a movie theater where I felt like a king. Heated & reclining seats with nicely priced, good portioned food. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be here.

Went to see John wick 4. Loved the whole experience. I recommend buying your tickets online. You skip the line and really feel important. I really enjoyed the fact our food was brought to us and we had cuddle seats. There was more than enough room for me and my girl. The sound and film quality was amazing I will be watching all future movies here. I recommend you do the same.

We make the drive past another theatre for this one for its cleanliness, food options, and comfort. Makes for a fantastic date. Food is delivered to you fresh, and discreetly during your movie which is very nice. It’s obviously pricy, but movie theaters have been pricy for ever now.

Great recliners with heating and cooling. Concession prices better than our last theater. They deliver Concessions to your seats. Great sound for the film.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Love the chairs, popcorn, pizza and now I have to try the pretzels. My wife took my daughters and they said they were better then Ben's Pretzels

I see about a dozen movies in theater a year and this is the first time I've been to this theater. Wonderful experience! It's clean, seats are heated and recliner, very modern inside. They have the fake butter as standard like most theatres but you can also pay an upcharge for real butter - I love that option. Plus they have multiple popcorn seasonings for free use.

The only negative for my experience is the theater I was in left their lights on a little too bright than I've seen before and my popcorn, although wonderful, had to much butter on it for my tastes.

Overall a great experience and theater and I'll happily go back again in the future.

An awesome place to view a movie. The new seats are the highlight. They are large, comfortable and they recline. There are fewer seats per theatre, the restrooms are clean and there are plenty of concessions.

Best cinema in nw Indiana! Decent ticket prices and surprisingly decent popcorn and drink prices! The Dolby Atmos theater really brought Dune 2 to life!

I love coming here the seats are very comfortable. The popcorn is delicious and everybody that works. There are so nice you guys gotta come here. It’s a great place to get away from stuff that you’re going through and just coming to the movie theater and just experience everything it’s a great experience.
