Food, service and atmosphere was great and prices reasonable. We had a reall good bowl of peasoup and the sausages were delicious. We will go back to this place

A Solvang treasure! Don't miss this restaurant because it's hidden from the main tourist traps. The popular restaurants get crowded, so come here instead. Good Danish food if you want to feel the theme of the city. A variety of Appetizers, salads, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, kids meals, entree's, sausages and Danish specials, plus desserts! Breakfast? Of course! Skip Paulas Pancakes and The Solvang Restaurant. They even have a pub if you feel like just drinks! Food is delicious and perfectly portioned. Prices are just right. The atmosphere looks like a European bar. Service is great. They're open all day. You can dine outside on their beautiful patio. This place is a gem and is definitely worth stopping by.

I brought my Labrador service dog and they cooked her an unseasoned meal as well. If you go to Solvang, you must try this place. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about my meal since I had it months ago.

I ordered steak and fries and my friend had Salmon and we really enjoyed. We had a great experience here part of it, maybe, it was not busy at all. Plus, we were so lucky with the weather as it was sunny and cool.

The food was tasty. We ask enjoyed the potatoes and French fries. The chicken, salmon, and burger was good.

Of all the Danish restaurants I have ever eaten in, the Viking Garden is one of them. The cleanliness of the restaurant and the authenticity of the cuisine served is mainly due to the manager, 5-star Michelin Chef Olegario Alvarez, born and raised in the affluent area of Copenhagen. His Danish father and German mother were both top chefs in Denmark and the son has inherited their expertise and passed it down to his sons, Pedro and Jose. The County of Santa Barbara has done about 30 health inspections of the Viking Garden from 2007-2019. One in November 2016 only noted "Rodents, insects, birds or animals." Every other inspection simply noted "No major violations." All in all, this place, like they say back in old Copenhagen, has "got it goin' on!"

Wonderful hidden gem! We had an amazing Danish Breakfast, prices reasonable and the outdoor patio is dog friendly!

The food is the most delicious, the service is very friendly and fast, and they have a great variety of local and imported beers and wines.

This place is a hidden gem. It was our 18th Wedding Anniversary. Wife wanted Salmon. They serve a delicious Pesto Salmon Special for $20. Yummy!

Wonderful food we were very impressed with the farmers plate. It had all the wonderful tastes. Flavorful meats sumptuous rich gravy and sweet and sour cabbage to die for. I had a Draft Root Beer, that was most delicious root beer I have ever tasted. Service very friendly and quick..

We stopped and had lunch and we didn't have much expectation about the place.. However, it was surprisingly great experience. The foods were great. My husband had a Chef Salad and I had Danish Sausage Lunch. We were impressed what we had.. I don't know people have said bad thing about it. It didn't occur to us.. If you expect a gourmet fancy food, look for other place else. And be prepared for groups of tourists from Asian. They stormed the place sometimes.. Weird!!??

I had the bikesmad I loved it! So good. My husband had the sausage platter he loved every bite. We tried several places in town this was our place that we brag about. Will go again. I recommend going!

I'm a tourist so Dutch knowledge is beyond me. But what I do know is that we had my family and I come and eat here and the food was great and the service was amazing.

I had the knockwurst sausage platter. It was very good. It brought me back to my childhood eating food like this with my family. The restaurant was clean and the service was good.
