Paula's Pancake House

Came during the holiday season and over Sunday brunch, there was quite a long line right outside the door, but it moved quickly. We were able to get seated inside within 15 min.s. Option for counter or outdoor seating to speed up the wait.

Food tastes great! Was my first time trying danish pancakes, can’t speak to its authenticity, but tasted nice! Not overly sweet or greasy, pretty airy actually! Tho choose berry toppings might be better than the cinnamon apples, for a more refreshing taste, and will look more appetizing. The eggs Benedict were well executed too!

Absolutely adore this place and will be coming back! ❤ the Danish pancakes with warm blueberries were AMAZING. I now have a favorite breakfast item, I hope to find some good Danish pancakes back in L.A. because they were perfectly sweetened, light and airy, and the berries were warm. I felt like I was at somebody's home here, the service was phenomenal. Thank you!

Very beautiful place to eat when visiting Solvang. (It was my first time at Paula’s and everything and everyone was great). Our waiter was very sweat and kind, and delicious food. I personally had the buttermilk pancake combo with 2 slices of sausage a slice of cinnamon apple/ orange and scrambled eggs, with an additional add-in of a lemonade. I highly recommend this place if you come to Solvang, Ca.

A local must try for breakfast and lunch while in Solvang. We did both! Service was excellent, although expect to wait for a table on the weekends. Food was good to great depending on what you get. Try the local dishes, which will be the ones you want to try anyway, like the Danish pancakes. We also tried the steak and eggs and bacon and eggs which were good but not out of this world good and something you can get anywhere. Biscuits and gravy were also excellent. Really not a bad dish to be had, just liked the specialty dishes more. Same deal for lunch. Burger was pretty good, but roast beef better. They also have a pretty awesome Mimosa special!

My Mom and I visited Solvang for the first time and was drawn to this quaint place. It is right across from the public parking. The split pea soup is delicious. Our server Jazmine T. was the right amount of tentative.

Great place, the only downside is that our server wasn’t as attentive. Refills on coffee, creamers. And I understand, it was busy. But maybe next time there will be better customer service

The food was so good we went last weekend. On Nov 11, 2023, we had the pancakes, so yummy light and very delicious. Will be back to try other stuff there. The services there was so quick. We'll worth it to eat there.

By far the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. Everything at this place was fantastic from the cappuccino, to the salad,the chicken, the fruit, pancakes, maple syrup, everything tasted so fresh. I can’t wait to come back here.

My wife and I took a road trip to celebrate our Birthdays and wedding anniversary. We headed to Solvang California for a brief visit before going to Santa Barbra.
After finding a public parking lot we stumbled across Paula’s Pancake House. It’s a cozy looking restaurant with incredibly friendly and attentive service. Our waitress Myah D was on top of everything.
My wife went with the Italian omelet with a side of turkey sausage. I was drawn to the Chicken Fried steak and eggs but that is always one of my favorites so I opted for the Ribeye and eggs. Sunny side up eggs of course and it came with hash browns and sourdough toast. I always order my steak rare, with a small sprinkle of salt and pepper it was perfect.
I highly recommend this place. So if you find yourself close by I encourage you to stop in.

It was the best breakfast I had at Paula's pancake. We we're seated right away and I like the vibe of the place.

The Danish pancakes are absolutely delicious! They aren't thick and heavy like regular pancakes, but they are super filling. Service was quick and friendly!

We were really impressed with how fast everything was done. We ordered our food and literally with in 10 min we had it. I ordered the Belgian waffle and danish pancakes (fruit on the side). My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. His hash browns were perfectly cooked (crispy). It was delicious and reasonably priced. The only thing lacking was a good salsa. Overall was great 😊

Was recommended to go here, and this place did not disappoint. The wait is long, so it's highly recommended to arrive early to avoid the crowds, especially on the weekend. The service is spot-on. The food was delicious and light. We got the Danish Pancake combo and the Solvang sausage combo. There was endless coffee too. Would return!

Inexpensive, unpretentious but really good and satisfying place for breakfast or lunch. Attentive but unobtrusive wait staff, quick seating and service even on a busy Sunday morning. Coffee cup was magically refilled throughout the meal! I thought that was a thing of the past. I highly recommend Paula's and the eggs Benedict are superb.

My guess is during weekend they must be very busy and wait time will be long.
We came on weekday around 11 am and got seated right away.
Didn’t picture all of our order, but ordered California omlet, danish pancake, regular pancake, strawberry and blueberry milkshake. They use fresh berries, and on the bottom of milkshake you find whole berries.
Service was fast.

Great dining experience coming to Solvang. We got seated much earlier than expected. The restaurant was kept clean and waiters were professional. The food was nothing short of amazing. We had the Paula's Special Danish Pancake, with blue berries, added sausage, and scrambled eggs with a side of freshly squeezed orange juice. Unforgettable. I'll definitely look forward to coming back here again.

My wife and I ate there last Monday morning before driving back to Hemet where we live 3.7 hours away. But the wait time moved fast and quickly got our delicious coffee and ordered the most Amazing Belgium Waffles with Fresh Strawberries and my wife had Blueberries.
The food was so delicious and if we ever come back to Solvang we will definitely go back.
We even got the Opportunity to Met Simon Halberg from "The Big Bang Theory" and made my day. Met his beautiful wife and what a friendly individual and saw I was a Vietnam and Desert Storm Veteran and Retired Navy Combat Veteran after 22 year.
This place is great and Higley recommend that if you are in Solvang please go eat here.

I have never had a bad meal here. To start though the staff is fantastic. Our waitress on very short notice got stuck with our group of 14 and several other large groups and despite joking that she might need help remembering, which was a positive in and of itself. She remembered every single order and where it went with no mistakes. I got a custom omelette but have had a decent chunk of the menu and have never been disappointed. The outdoor seating is nice, but if you've never been inside it's really cute and cozy so I'd eat inside at least once if I were you.
