Let me start off with some strong notes: the alligator lighting coming in was hilarious and I loved it. We started off with a marinated octopus salad that had Mediterranean vibes and roasted oysters with a deviled theme. Highly recommend them both. My wife got the blackened salmon special with lobster risotto, that was a 10 out of 10 and I got the Sea scallops and shrimp with chorizo grits. Both of these were delicious, portions were generous, and the staff was very welcoming and kind. On our five day trip, we may just return one more time it was that good! Thank you for the great experience, we highly recommend!

Amazing food…if you want seafood at OBX you absolutely must come to Dune St Raw Bar and Grill…the octopus salad was amazing, deviled crab roasted oysters was best appetizer ever and the scallops and seared shrimp melt in your mouth! Great cocktails —- try the Mile Post 13 — and local oysters on the half shell too!! Service was super friendly and tremendous! 5+ STARS!!

Our first experience at Dune Street Rawbar & Grill was exceptional. The crab Rangoon appetizer was the best we had ever eaten, and we are old! The lobster bisque soup was the best we had ever eaten as well. The entrees were fantastic and on par or better than the best on the Outer Banks. The presentation is artful and imaginative, and even the silverware is high quality. This place is deserving of a slot among a small number of top tier dining establishments here.
Whatever you've got going in that kitchen, keep it up...please! Service was perfect as well. Thank you to everyone involved with this excellent restaurant.

Wow - 5 Stars all around! Every staff member we came in contact with was super friendly and welcoming. We sat at the bar and Derek was great and made our experience even better! All of the food that we ordered was phenomenal! The crab stuffed shrimp and grits appetizer was amazing. We enjoyed the whole experience so much that we can't wait to go back and this will be a go-to for us on a regular basis. If you haven't been you are missing out on one of the best places around! Check it out!

Stopped here for dinner and it was the best food we have had during any trip to the OBX. We sat at the raw bar and it was great. The seating is fantastic along with the atmosphere. William who runs the raw bar, was also our server. He was very knowledge about the oysters they had and was able to answer any questions we had and provided great recommendations.

The food here is out of this world. We started with raw oysters and their oysters fried in duck fat. Both were extremely delicious. For our entree we had the crab cake sandwich and their dry aged ribeye. My wife enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and the steak was one of the best I have ever had.

If you are looking for amazing food, great service and a fantastic atmosphere I highly recommend stopping here. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious food, great service and good times made for a great evening at this OBX newcomer! Charcuterie board was HUGE and delicious and would easily serve four. Oysters Rock went too quickly for a pic. Different and delicious. Lobster bisque has huge chunks of lobster. Friend had the duck and said it was to die for. Takes reservations so we were able to walk right in. A welcome addition to our OBX circuit!

Checked out Dune Street last night with a group of friends. They were busy, but we had a reservation and was able to be sat right away. The food was phenomenal, you could tell how fresh and made from scratch everything was. We had a group of 8 and got to try almost everything. The oysters were some of the best I have has, we tried the fried, rockerfella and deviled. Everyone's dinners came out perfect, ribeye cooked to perfection. The crab rangoons were the BEST I have ever had. The cocktails were good as well. Our sever Sophia was attentive and knew the menu as well as the draft list by heart. The restaurant it's self has a great and unique ambiance. Can't wait to go back!

We have been looking forward to trying Dune Street for some time and, let me tell you, if you are an oyster connoisseur, you need to check this place out. (Even if you aren't a fan of oysters, their menu offers tons of variety with exceptional flavor combinations). The interior has had a fresh, modern face-lift, with a large bar installed in the dining area. Selection of oysters varied from Virginia down to Hyde County and the accompaniment sauces were a beautiful addition. Our favorites were the NN Dive Sauce (slightly spicy) and the Island Mignonette (a little sweet). We snacked on a perfectly displayed charcuterie board - that whipped pimiento cheese, fig jam, and teardrop peppers were chef's kiss- and some hot, fresh fries. Our cocktail *milepost 13 for the win* was exceptional. Our server and other restaurant staff were highly attentive and offered great recommendations as well as the promise to source their food locally. Although not immediately advertised, our server did report that they have a kid's menu. If you save room, the chocolate cake slice was large enough to share. Seating availability hasn't increased from the former restaurant, that we can tell. On this visit, we did not have to wait for a table, but as more folks learn about how great this place is, I would expect a wait. Entree menu looks amazing, so we are excited to return for a family meal. Dune Street is a welcome addition to the Nags Head restaurant scene and we are looking forward to returning very soon.

This place will rock your socks off. I am so glad we came to this restaurant. There were so many options. This was one of the only ones that we saw that had crab Rangoon but that’s not all everything we ate was amazing. The customer service and atmosphere was amazing.

This was our first time at Dune St. My husband had the Fish n Chips, with two huge, perfectly cooked pieces of flounder. I had a savory piece of Salmon with a blackberry sauce that was delicious! Sophia, our waitress was a delight! We will definitely call Dune St a favorite of ours when we travel to the OBX.

The drinks were great. Service was fantastic. We got the oysters and crab Rangoon and they were both amazing. And someone had a creme brule cheesecake that was to die for.

Stopped in with my son for a drink and appetizer. Tables were full and the crowd lively. Took a spot at the bar and ordered a few libations. Service staff were attentive and personable.

This was the best meal we have eaten in OBX in a long time. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the staff were great and provided excellent service. The food was amazing and it had some of the best twist on some classic dishes. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.

Overall, one of the best dining experiences in all our trips down. The chef even stopped by our table to ask how our meal was and chatted for a bit. Loved every minute of this experience.

Wow! Food & service were awesome! We sat at the raw bar and Will was our server. His vast knowledge of everything OBX was great! We come to the Outer Banks seasonally for my husband to work at the refuge welcome center and we love finding new places to eat and then if good, my husband recommends them to the thousands of visitors he meets every year. My husband wanted oysters and Will knew so much about the oysters from local to and others, where to find oysters and all about farming of them. I had the scaled potato puppy drum. This was hands down the best seafood dish I have eaten!! So delicious! We can't wait to come back and recommended this place to others!

You like oysters? You like thoughful food creations and not the same old things? You should definitely try this place twice...you will not be disappointed. Everything we had was just awesome. Them SW Oysters are where its at.

Wow! Four of us dined here the last week of December. We were stunned from the minute we arrived. The hostess invited us to wait at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender entertained us, and before our drinks were finished our table was ready. An incredibly efficient waitress handled our orders quickly and helped keep our glasses full. Our group had five appetizers and four full meals. All the food was outstanding! These were not standard dishes; each was unique and full of flavor. All the employees were incredibly friendly and always on the ball. Only a few times in my life have I’ve run into such a great establishment. If I could rate them a ten… I would. We’ll be back, and we’ll be back often!

Absolutely delicious food & oysters. We got the tuna bowl and duck. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. Hope the food always stays this good

As locals its was so refreshing to walk in to a great atmosphere and not be greeted with a crazy wait time. The food was just simply amazing! From starters, to the entrees, to the homemade dessert, just amazing! Our server, Jim, was so great, handled our large family group so well and just had great customer service! Shout out to the raw bar guy and the guy who changed the 1718 keg for us, they were also super friendly and helpful! Can’t wait till next time!

Friendly and attentive service. Food was delicious. The seared scallop and shrimp on chorizo grits is some of the best stuff I’ve ever had.
