Jeff's Burgers, Dogs & Shakes

A hidden gem!! They make your meat patties right in front of you, slice the potatoes for your fries.. all from scratch and after you order. Our burgers were so good and the fries were crispy and delicious. Will absolutely be back!

This is a great family owned restaurant with deep ties to Jacksonville. The food is awesome, and the fries are second to none. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Make sure you try the handmade milkshakes. My favorite is the Chicken Philly on a bed of lettuce & tomato.

Ordered a “TV Size” Bacon Cheese burger with my choice of toppings and an Oreo Shake.

Burger was fresh and tasted great. Oreo shake was more of a uniform shake than one with lots of chunks (there are some at the bottom), for those who like that consistency.

All of the he food is good! But this is a burger joint with homemade soup and fabulous shakes! Their hot dogs are as close to a Chicago dog you’ll find outside of Chicago. My favorite is the all the way add relish, the hubby loves the chili dog (no beans) with extra mustard and onions! The French fries are addictive and the onion rings are yummy too! The guys are friendly and passionate about their fare. If you love burgers and dogs with a scratch kitchen vibe you gotta give them a try!

Great local spot for burgers, shakes and much more! Recommended to anyone in town who wants to go to a local spot instead of one of the many chains out here.

It’s a great atmosphere with hardworking people who put their heart into what they do. Always delicious and fresh and again the burgers are mouth-watering. You’ll be thinking about their yummy food after you leave.

I love this place! The employees are so kind and helpful. It is such a friendly and homey environment. Casual date nights or lunches. Great place to go. Chocolate shakes are perfect. Burgers are delicious. Fries. The fries are amazing!!

I quite literally just finished eating my meal from here and it was absolutely delicious. I got a chocolate shake, a mushroom Swiss burger, and chili cheese fries and all three were so damn good. The portions are so filling, the guy working was so nice, and the prices are literally insane!(in the best way possible) all that for under 20$...pretty much unheard of nowadays. The difference between jeffs burgers and the other burger places around here is that this place is actually good! Everything was perfect. Price, taste, customer service. I will absolutely be coming back and bringing my husband with me.

These are the most flavorful and delicious burgers I have ever eaten. And now will not eat any other burgers. Our new "meeting place" for really good food. The fried onion rings are crispy and crunchy and down right yummy. So much goodness in one location and everyone so dedicated to making you feel welcome. So glad to find this place. Good prices, terrific food.

All beef hotdogs cooked on a flat top grill until crispy. Many topping to choose from,I had a third one here with chili cheese and onion but couldn't wait.

Why do we love Jeff's...lemme count the ways. First of all we have driven by countless times and didn't stop. A friend who lives nearby mentioned it was good so we said dang...let's try it. Imagine 5 Guys Burgers but cheaper and friendlier. The fries are awesome and sometimes I get a spicy chicken which is also 10/10.

Probably the BEST burger I’ve EVER had. I was sitting in my barracks room craving a good none chain restaurant burger. The reviews I read here sparked my interest. Wanted to know just how good it could be. Needless to say, it didn’t disappoint. I got the Carolina Classic topped with chili, slaw, onions, and mustard. That came with a hefty portion of fries. I also got a cup of chicken and rice soup and a strawberry shake that was recommended to me by the gentleman at the register. Everything was phenomenal in its own right. I’ll be back on Fridays to try the clam chowder.

I visited during a busy time so I waited twenty minutes, but the food was good! The fries were well seasoned and everything I got was fresh. For a burger and fries, it was about $10 so I'd say pretty reasonable for the portion and quality. It's definitely an older establishment, so it has that moist feel to the air if you know what I mean, but it isn't dirty or poorly managed. I'll definitely be back in the future!

Y'all, that was a Carolina Cheeseburger. WAS!! From the very first bite of the burger to the last this burger is hands down the best around. Fresh beef on the flat top right in front of me! The French fries, just the same. Great process for delicious flavor. The fries are cooked to perfection and sprinkled with their house spice. The same spice on the burgers and it's AMAZING!
Of course, I have to comment on the service. Friendly and efficient. Clean environment. 98 overall score and all hair including beards is under control and covered. I waited ONLY 10 minutes for a fresh beef burger and fries on a Friday at lunch time. Oh, they have "the good ice"!!!

DO YOUR MOUTH A FAVOR!!!! I'm stuffed but I may have to try one of those shakes they are swirling.

Had Jeff's for lunch today. Simple lunch diner. My fries and burger we cooked to perfection. The Philly steak is my favorite. Perfectly seasoned. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Will be returning.

Ordered a fish sandwich, mushroom and Swiss burger and French fries. Couldn't believe the SIZE of the portions. Everything was great. Not overly salted and done perfectly. Highly Recommended! If you want a chocolate milkshake that looks & TASTES like a chocolate milkshake, head over to Jeff's Burgers. Their chocolate shakes are awesome. In my opinion, they're better than Dairy Queen's...and DQ is in the ice cream business!

What a great old school burger joint. All of the food that we had was delicious!! I need to come back so I can sample more of the menu. All 3 of us had burgers made to order, but the chili dog sounded great, unfortunately I didn't try it. We did have a couple of shakes, strawberry and vanilla. Both of those were awesome. I highly recommend Jeff's, why do fast food when you could come here and have a burger to order.

We've been here a few times when visiting our grandkids and every time I've been pleased with our experience. The young man working the counter is friendly & fun to talk with ; he recognizes his customers!
The food is good & consistent. It meets that bar burger craving I have sometimes & I don't have to go to the bar to get it!

Tried for first time today, excellent. Will be back my son were breezing thru Jville on a business trip, i got the mushroom swiss, he got a rodeo burger we got fries and onion rings. When i want a hot , juicy cheese burger touve got the right doot. Staff was super friendly!!!

Come eat local! With all the franchise and fast food establishments throughout JVille, Jeff’s is a welcomed break from all of them. Their menu has plenty to offer for everyone and I haven’t ordered anything from it that I didn’t like.
