This was my first time going to Head Mistress, and I can tell you that it was a calm and relaxed feeling. I enjoyed conversation and got Exactly! What I wanted. I left feeling well taken care of and in a great timely matter. I will be returning again and until then I defiantly recommend to go there. Thank you until I see u again.

She is very skilled and personable to talk to and sit in her chair! I love the Atmosphere, it's calm and she does a great job every time 💯

Amazing stylist and both her and the Receptionist are friendly and professional. I've not had a single complaint and have been satisfied with the quality service I received at every visit. My hair is healthier and has grown tremendously since I started going to Head Mistress. I highly recommend.

Great place with a really welcoming staff. I ended up coming for my appointment super early, but I was still seen early. My stylist did a really great job on my hair and I will be back again! Even while I was there I was offered water, we had friendly conversation and I was always asked for approval of my hair before we moved on to doing something else or in my case, cutting more hair. Very keen attention to detail was given and the price was right too. Shurquanda the owner is super super friendly and definitely knows what she is doing!

I have been getting my hair done by Quanda for 2 years. She has restored my natural hair to glory! I appreciate how she is timely and professional. Never had any issues or complaints. Love coming here to get my hair done.

Headmistress Salon is a great salon. Ms. Bryant, the owner, is such a professional. I have been a client for 5 years. What I like is that she is prompt and you do not wait all evening to be seen. Also, her styling techniques rival those in ATL and DC. It is not just about styling though. She promotes healthy hair management for her clients as well. Thanks for your expertise.

We are not from Jacksonville so when I found out about this place, naturally I was skeptical! I was so pleased with my first visit I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair done here. Everyone is so nice and the salon is spotless. You my dear have a new regular. I can’t remember the young ladies name but she’s a real peach!

Whether you hair is natural, relaxed, short or long, Head Mistress is the place to go. I have been going to Head Mistress for 8+ years and I have never been displeased with the salon as a whole. Through all the stages of my hair, beginning with being natural, getting a perm, getting it dyed and then transitioning to natural again Head Mistress has been there !! The stylist really care about their clients and their passion is shown through their work. The stylist are phenomenal, honest, and informative. The receptionist are amazing as well and are very professional. I would Highly recommend this Salon!!! Go check them out, and if you don't your missing out.

Is the greatest salon I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting my hair done. I’ve been going there over five years and loving it. I’ve tried other salons in Jacksonville NC no other salon can compare to Head Mistress and its staff. The environment is welcoming, clean, great prices; little wait to no wait time which I can appreciate. As I’m a lady always on the go and time is essential for me. The services there are remarkable whatever I need, and questions I may ask are followed up and answered promptly. I especially love the Style Seat option that’s offered by Head Mistress, its easy and flawless I can book multiple appointments and services from my home or my cell phone at any time. The convenience of Style Seat is that my appointment is push of a button or click away. To be honest as a full time working women, wife, and mother of two idk what I would do without Head Mistress meeting all my hair care needs.

Haven’t had my hair done but the work I’ve seen has been nothing short of beautiful!! Great energy in the salon. I come here to get nails done and Lauren is nothing short of amazing, takes her time, cares about the product she put out unlike every nail shop in Jacksonville. Can’t wait to schedule my hair appointments, one stop shop for everything while my babies are in daycare!!

Giving a 5 star because that’s all that google allow, the owner Shurquanda is the bomb!!! She’s not just concerned with styling your hair but she gives great advice on keeping your hair healthy. I always receive compliments on my hair after she does it. The receptionists are always welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I rarely write reviews, except when customer service is extremely bad or extremely exceptional. In this case its extremely exceptional! From the moment that you walk in to the time that you leave, the service is on point. The receptionists here are really nice , plus they offer refreshments. The owner is very friendly and I am always overly pleased with the outcome of my hair. It bothers me however when people leave a negative and untrue review on any business, because they can't have there way. I have gone to this salon for a while and there are two signs ( one sitting on the floor, the other on the front counter) that states that no children are allowed unless they are receiving services. So to bring children into the salon and then complain that you were asked to leave is just immature!!!! Really, can't you read, or do you think that you are exempt? I have children and I am not allowed to bring them either. Rules are rules no mater where you go. You don't take your child to work with you or into a court room! Grow up and stop complaining when business owners are keeping your children best interest in mind. The stylists do use chemicals that children and infants should not be breathing in, so the shame is on you and not the salon.

Shurquanda is the best ! Her business is clean, she has a great receptionist, she's professional, kind, she's great at her craft and most importantly she's always on time, I have never waited more than 5 mins at appointment time. I have been a customer at least 5 years. I get eyelash extensions here as well and I always get compliments cause they look so natural. I can't forget the great snacks! I love the snacks, lol. When you start booking, please download clover app. Collect points and use them for discounts on your next service. The points accumulate pretty quick.

My daughter got some goddess braids here just in time for back-to-school. Braiders were all very friendly and professional. She loved her hair and the prices were worth their work.

If you are looking for a great salon with exceptional stylists then Head Mistress is the place to go. They are the are very attentive and they use professional products. I received excellent service at every appointment I've had there. I recommend Head Mistress.

Best stylest hands down!!!! Shurquanda specializes in all types of hair from naturals, locks to weaves. She is amazing at color. I have been several different colors over the years and my hair has no damage. I love that my hair is healthy and has grown out so much. If your looking for someone that will take care of your hair. Look no further.

Good customer service! The lady that i spoke with was very polite on the phone, unlike several other hairdresser/salons that i tried to contact, so that was a definite plus. Professional and it didnt take very long at all. I WILL be going back in the future!
