Great tacos and tamales,they are a very reasonable price and their tamales are amazing,Tacos $1.99 and tamales are $2.50.

For a white girl trying this place is awesome. Everyone is so nice and helpful! Must admit I was intimidated at first, but it is great! All the great fruits and vegetables. And the meat counter! You won't find another in this area (or surrounding area) to beat it!

I was returning home from a weekend in Monterey and wanted to pick up dinner on the way. Not being familiar with where to go in Gilroy I drove around seeing what was available and saw Cardenas. Awesome find! The store is clean and well stocked but the best part is the hot food deli. Best chili rellenos I've had in years and a huge array of absolutely delicious foods. Will definitely make this a regular stop when in the area.

They’re struggling to hire people like so many other businesses and customer service is impacted by this, there’s added stress on the staff that do show up. I give five stars because they’re trying their best and I like the variety of products, plus their prices are reasonable.

Taco Tuesdays are awesome because their delicious tacos are only $1 each. There is a wide variety of meats and they come with onions, cilantro, and salsa. There is a huge deli section along with a large bakery. I prefer this store over Arteagas.

I was carrying 2 boxes and groceries and an employee working in the produce section not only offered but went outside to get a grocery cart for me. Outstanding customer service! He was so helpful and doing more than is required.

Great food. Good customer service. Just be prepared, not all employees speak English. We go there all the time for their soups, try the beef or chicken soup!

Great Place Friendly Staff always Fresh food. And Beer is ALWAYS a great deal my go to store for anything Mexican or just BBQ for friend fresh meat chicken cheese ....well all types 5 Star

Store is super clean and well stocked.
Great finds in both meats and produce that you can't get at the mainstream super markets.
For example: fresh green garbanzos, wide variety of fresh peppers, fresh nopales, fresh prickly pears etc.

Visiting the meat department today, I bought some "aracherra marinada", and we grilled it over coals
along with the small white corn tortillas. Topped with cilantro, onion, salsa, lime, and avocado.
Oh gawd so good ! Homemade street tacos.

Very nice people, locked keys and cell phone in my pickup, went in there to see if i could get a coat hanger, they said no but I could use their phone. Life saver, I would like to say thank you to the lady that helped me out.
