Best smoothies in town! I often times go to this place for breakfast and sometimes lunch. Food is great and prices are good.

I only wish the sitting area was nicer and better cared for. I have a little baby and I like getting out of the house. I know most costumers only do take away or stay super briefly, but I like eating there.

I just found this hidden gem while I was delivering in downtown Oakland! I rarely buy lunch for myself because I feel guilty about spending money on just myself for food if it doesn't include my family! I was just so hungry and it sounded good from the couple of reviews I glanced at before ordering takeout online. First of all let me say I was impressed with how delicious and fresh the food was! Second, they give you a lot of food! Lastly, I couldn't believe how affordable it was and for as busy they were during lunchtime they were pleasant. I will definitely be returning sometime in the future! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves or wants to try Vietnamese cuisine!

Our go to lunch spot. If you had a fun weekend, the double spicy juice is a great detox juice and it is spicy- amazing!! I love to get the fresh shrimp rolls which are made to order (get extra spicy sauce). The staff is always friendly and they are quick to get orders out. You can also order ahead. We’ve tried a lot on the menu and it’s all good! You won’t be disappointed.

The vegetarian bahn mi sandwiches were quite good and very affordable — $8.95 as of writing this. We also got some smoothies were good. The curry tofu sandwich was our favorite of the vegetarian ones. The bbq pork was also good

We got a few Bahn Mi sandwiches and a strawberry-banana smoothie. The sandwiches were pretty big. The filling was plentiful - I just wished there were more pickled daikan with the carrots! The bread was still crunchy even after a few hours - these were purchased in the morning to be eaten near noon midway of a hike.

Some of the best sandwiches in Oakland. Absolutely unbeatable price and quality. I come here 1-2 times per week, it's really that good. I would have a mental breakdown if they closed.

Ordered the chicken wrap. Spicy Mayo was great and they did a great job at the equal distribution of the fresh ingredients throughout the wrap! Yummy. Looking forward to returning to try their salads. They have reasonable prices for the area too.

This is the spot for a delicious quick bite. They have fresh pressed juices and smoothies, my favorites are the breakfast egg and cheese on a croissant w bacon. I ALWAYS get the flan! It’s so simple and so good. Of course their bahn mi’s are good! Need to try other menu items but I usually just stick to a breakfast sandwich and flan or bahn mi and flan, you can’t go wrong here.

This may look like a standard bánh mì but honestly, I think it's the best I have EVER had. BBQ pork bánh mì are probably my favorite food of all time, and I am constantly on the hunt for the best. Having tried them all over the Bay, I have to say, this little gem of a cafe might be it for me! You should know before going that the pork sandwiches come with pate (which may have been the deal-sealer) but truly - come here! You won't be disappointed!

you get a ton of food and all of your necessary vitamins and minerals for a pretty damn good price of $8. highly support the ladies that work here, they have a wide selection so it's good to come here multiple times. really hope they keep it up and perhaps a good place to get some work done if you like a rustic environment

It's a modest place, but the sandwiches are one of my favorite parts of living in Oakland. The curry bean curd banh mi is fantastic - pair up with a smoothie for a perfect afternoon.

If you get your banh mi sandwiches anywhere EXCEPT this spot in downtown Oakland, I am sorry to inform you that you are f'ing up. Big time. This spot's prices are UNBEATABLE. The ladies are THE NICEST. The sandwhiches are THE BEST.

Solid Banh Mi and Vietnamese iced coffee is creamy and strong. They don't skimp on the portion size. Service was very exceptional. Please do give them a try!

Banh mi here is pretty authentic and delicious. Dac Biet is my go to.

I love Fresh and Best Cafe 2!! I buy lunch here about twice each week, on average. The food is tasty, fresh, and good quality, for a moderate price (not cheap and not expensive). The service is friendly and attentive! They get busy at lunch, so I arrive there by 11:40 to place my order and I'm out of there in 10 -15 minutes. If I arrive at 12 or 12:15, I find it takes longer for them to make my order because by 12, they have so many orders.

The interior is small and no frills. It is clean and comfortable, with lots of natural light. You can almost always find a place to sit. Most of the orders are phone-in and take-out, so there are not a lot of people staying and sitting there to eat. Myself, I order in person, and I walk back to my office to eat.

My go-to order is the summer roll with shrimp and avocado. You get three large rolls, each filled with shrimp, avocado, and rice noodles, wrapped in rice paper. They are light, healthy and filling, the cost is $8 -9 (can't remember exactly how much). I usually purchase an unsweetened ice tea, too.

gem of a banh mi shop. they have so many options and everything really is fresh and best :) love their coconut pork banh mi. highly recommend !

I was craving for a Vietnamese sandwich and I saw this place have great reviews so I decided to try it out. We ordered 3 sandwiches, bbq pork, ground pork with egg and the combo. All three were SPECTACULAR...the best vietnamese sandwiches Ive had by far. I was completely satisfied and not at all disappointed. The bread was fresh, the veggies were crunchy and well marinaded and the meat was very good. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. I will be coming back here many more times in the future.
