4.5 Stars

Food, food, food, food, food. Every time I run into a discombobulated unstructured restaurant environment I am tempted to rate on the front of house incompetence. Sadly, it would appear that all of the best places have front-of-house problems. Including, but not limited to, Bern's Steakhouse, the Big Boy all World #1 eatery.
Back to the food. I'm still not sure who or even if we had an official server. The lady that started to take our order disappeared. Then a few moments later a new lady showed up to take our order. Neither of these two could answer any questions. Our food was brought by a third lady and the fourth lady was the owner (I asked all four). Despite the ever-changing waitron, I managed to place an order for one Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast with eggs over medium and a side of country ham, along with an order of the Lemon Pound Cake French Toast because yummy.
Someone here sure knows how to cook. One could even say they went all supererogation especially when compared to the seemingly lack of effort represented in the chaos that is the front of the house. I was never able to determine the name of the cook. Well done, Anonymous Culinarian! None of the service matters unless you are a crybaby about things like that. I am here for the food. Period. So, live with the service storm because this food is freakin' awesome. The sole reason this wasn't a 5-star review was the spuds. If you are already blowing up your food costs, spend the extra $5.00 on the pre-cut high-end taters.

The Biscuits and Gravy were outstanding. Both were obviously made in-house with nothing but love. This is one of the best biscuits I've had. It was flaky, firm, springy, and tasty—the way Granny intended biscuits to be. The gravy was fresh and seasoned correctly. The eggs were cooked correctly, and the potatoes were, as mentioned, not worth mentioning.

I found the Lemon Pound Cake French Toast to be exceptional. The bread was perfectly battered, grilled and presented. The double handful of fresh blueberries were farm fresh, the cream freshly whipped and I am fairly certain that was real maple syrup. All in all this was a superbly made meal and pleased my palate a great deal.

The Big Boy says, “ Try this place. I strongly recommend it. Hopefully, a leader will emerge in the front to complement the back. Hint, Hint, Hint.”

Highly recommend this little bit of heaven in downtown Melbourne. It is a locally owned and run restaurant and tea house. I attended with a group for a tea time lunch. The service was excellent from all the staff that served our table, including the owner.
Our menu consisted of some items they did not have on the menu due to it being a tea. But I can't rave enough, how delicious, fresh, and tasty it all was. I highly recommend their soup!

The prices are very good and consistent for what you order. The lunch menu is quite diverse, and you will find a little of anything, from salads, sandwiches, and baked goods. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is an addition to my original post. Went back today 3/20 for lunch with my lady friends, there were 11 of us. Lived up to the original post again with great lunch and breakfast items. I personally had the garden salad with a balsamic vinegrette dressing and chicken salad on the side. Very, very good. Some of the others had chicken salad sandwiches, lemon pound cake fresh toast and the breakfast bowl to name a few. All very tasty and fresh. The service was impeccable as always. Can't say enough about this place!

Enjoyed the Lunch Tea Time with a friend. It's usually on Tuesday, but they will do it on another day if you make reservations ahead of time. They've done a fabulous job redecorating since the previous establishment! I just loved the big pot of tea with a candle underneath it to keep it warm. The plated lunch included a 1/2 cucumber and cream cheese, and a small slice of quiche. End of the meal with a mini scone with clotted cream and jam. Looking forward to returning for one of their fabulous breakfasts!

I go there for afternoon tea almost once a week on fridays. They are very kind and willing to accommodate me on short notice. The sammies and scones are always tasty and i enjoy sitting on the porch area. Also, there is no step to get to the main entrance which i find helpful with my bad knees.

If I lived closer, I would be a regular! Amazing food, kind staff, and super quick ticket times. From order to table, it couldn't have been longer than 15 minutes. Seating is relatively intimate inside, but outside has ample space.

Food was amazing! I had the biscuits and gravy (they have 4 options to choose from). I had the chicken and herb (savory, flavorful; think thanksgiving in a gravy), bacon (my favorite out of the bunch), and sausage gravy (perfect balance between thick and runny). The biscuits themselves were awesome; flakey, buttery, not overly dense or dry. I also had the breakfast potatoes to help pit up any excess gravy (there was none). Delicious food.

My wife had Grandma G's pot roast sandwich. I did not take a photo.. I was too busy eating lol

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. We arrived right at 12:30 on a Thursday and there was no wait. We were greeted by a sweet woman who explained the menu and process to us. The decor is fresh, clean and homey. The menu is full of made from scratch offerings and the food was fantastic. If you are in downtown Melbourne definitely give Harvest Thyme a try.

Came to town for a trial and happened upon this quaint little restaurant. This is a home that has been lovingly turned into a restaurant that serves a limited and carefully selected number of items.

I had the burger with their in-house made potato chips for lunch and a freshly in-house made cinnamon roll with the, you guessed it, in-house made cream cheese frosting.

The service was fabulous, as if being at grandmas for that special meal.

We had Mother’s Day tea with a group of 6. We booked last minute and they were able to accommodate. They were so kind and fun and the food was great. They easily accommodated my 7 year old niece and my gluten free sister. The tea was actually amazing and it was so relaxing. Can’t wait to go back for lunch! If parking is hard, there’s a lot behind the Henegar center about 3 minute walk.

Another one off the Brevard County breakfast diner tour. Solid food. Small menu but that's definitely not a negative, the food is good.

On vacation for a week, traveled 15 minutes to eat here three times. The food is excellent and we were checked on a few times to make sure that we were satisfied. Wonderful atmosphere, certainly eat on the porch! Service was friendly and accommodating! Can’t wait to see you next year when we come back!! All the best!!

Such a cute casual place for brunch! You order at the counter inside and they bring your food to you. I decided on the biscuits and gravy sampler trio and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We can’t wait to go back to try everything!! Nice little outdoor seating area and seats inside, amazing customer service too!

We would have taken a picture of the food but it was so delicious we ate it and forgot to get a picture. Chicken salad was yum and morning glory scones were served warm with the cream and were also yum. Sat outside and the house and atmosphere was comfortable. Need to come back for the tea party sometime.

Unexpected to feel such a loving atmosphere. The owners were welcoming even though our party couldn't arrive on time, and stayed past closing! What a treat, and a special time to spend with your family and friends. We had afternoon tea, and loved each item, even the edible flowers! Haha

A sweet, and attentive staff with food that speaks for itself. Can’t say enough good things about this amazing locally owned restaurant. All made to order and from scratch! One of the owners came out and had a chat with my husband and I. Their passion and love for their work and faith is admirable!

My husband and I stopped in for a bite and warm cup of coffee and this place did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the server/owners were so sweet. All the little touches make this place very unique and a perfect spot for downtown. We will definitely be back!
