Great staff, friendly and making sure if you any help. Pretty awesome they know about the story of some of the brands they sell such as the I-Sea sunglasses. Definitely stopping by again. Love the shirt I bought!!

What a great place! It's been a few years since I've been in and I was greeted with kind and friendly staff, just like I remember. They even got a fresh shirt out of a box for me (New sugar skull design! I'm in love!) I'll always stop in while I'm here in vacation. Thank you Whalebone for yet another great shopping experience! Really great place! Stopped in to check them out and the young lady who helped me was super nice and helpful! Knew where everything was and even showed me where some cool shirts were that were long enough to actually fit me. Doesn't happen often when you're a slim 6'3"!

Very welcoming and helpful staff. They have a pretty good selection of boards and clothing and your typical surf stuff.

Small core shop that had the most intelligent managers on surfing I’ve been around. They got me on a board that I LOVE and I can’t recommend enough!

Wonderful customer service starting with one of the owners and consistently across the board. Great starter surfboards for rent ($20/day!). Laid back experience and they threw in helpful tips and materials. Definitely will return every summer!

Just left Whalebone in Nags Head. All of the ladies working were sweet and attentive but not TOO attentive. Store was well laid out and a had great selection. Dressing room was clean and i did not have to chase anyone down to use it. Purchased 3 items...loved them all!....Happy Girl! I will be back😊...July 1st-2017

Visited for the first time when we were camping at Oregon Inlet. We came in for a rental surf board and left with a great foam beginner board, three awesome t-shirts and two pairs of comfy sweatpants! The owners were very helpful and gave us tips about local parks, beaches, and restaurants. Love this place! Will be back!

out of all the surf shops we visited in the obx- which was a lot, this one had the friendliest staff and the best vibes. the employee helped us the entire time giving me surf tips and recommendations.

This is a family-owned store in Nags Head, NC. I shop here every Christmas and birthdays for the men in my family. Jim Vaughn, the owner, and his crew are friendly and helpful making suggestions, or assisting in a return. They have all the popular surf brands, clothing, equipment, boards, etc., that my boys want.

Great spot, very helpful + kind people! Awesome inventory of suits and all your beach needs. Easy rental process as well for surf boards. Would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

Whalebone is a great place for ANYTHING you need for the beach and their logo is recognized worldwide. Jim and his staff are are professional and knowledgeable about everything in the store. I have been buying stuff there for over 20 years, including T-shirts, boardshorts, towels, and hoodies and today I just bought another hoody and two more towels! It is a great surf shop that you will return to again once you try it!! RedDog

I wish there was a way to give an even better review!!!!!! Just a couple in town from NSB, Florida, wanted to teach my sisters to surf on a long board. Silly girls went in and got the wrong board. The next day we returned the board in exchange for the long board for a week, he ended up chatting it up with my boyfriend and sharing amazing surf stories together, showed us SICK photos. And got us hooked up and in the right spot to catch some great waves even on a 1-2 swell. I will return again and againjust to stop in at this amazing shop. Every worker was amazing and very helpful. Helpful staff and awesome selection of suits, fashion, and just about everything! They had a good collection of flip flops and super cute beach wear and swim suits!
