We are very pleased that we chose Timberlake Homes to build a house on our lot. Our home, the Sycamore model is truly beautiful!

Our lot was not easy to build on. It was initially planned for well and septic, has a long, shared driveway, and had neighbors that were encroaching on the property. Real estate agents, and surveyors said we probably wouldn't be able to build a house on it.

We called several homebuilders. They either didn't build in Prince George's County or the builders that did, didn't have a home plan that we liked.

Then we found Timberlake Homes. We visited their Hawthorne model home in Clinton MD. We liked the style of the home and the endless ways you could customize the floor plan.

We learned Timberlake Homes is also a build on your lot homebuilder. We contacted them, and they evaluated our lot. Timberlake never said we wouldn't be able to build a home on our lot. That stood out to us as an indication of their experience and determination. We met with them and they immediately began planning to build our home.

Because of Prince George's County regulations for water and septic systems, the initial build of our home was delayed.
Even though more paperwork had to be completed and there were more meetings with the county, Timberlake was patient, and assisted us during the process.

During the delay, Jonathan Tepper continuously gave us weekly updates, offered encouragement, and quickly informed us of any important news.

Greg McAninch made sure the required forms we had already filed with the county stayed current. He also worked to keep our costs down, and within budget.

With Jonathan's assistance we made changes to the Sycamore floor plan that really made our house even more functional for our family's needs. Jonathan has great attention to detail and didn't just answer our questions but gave insight as to why things are done the way they are.

Louise Ferreras, our design consultant, was so gracious in helping us decide on floor, cabinet, and granite selections that reflect our style and budget. We've gotten so many compliments on our option choices.

Once building began on our home, the process was smooth, efficient, and exciting. BJ, the construction manager, kept everything moving quickly and efficiently. He explained to us what to expect next and how to maintain our home.

At the completion of our home build, we received receipts for all costs for developing the lot and our house.

The work came in under budget and we were thrilled to receive a refund check along with keys to our new home.

Timberlake is professional, easy to work with, listened to our vision for our home, and worked as a team to make the vision come to life.

We recently completed a large addition with Timberlake, and we could not be more pleased with the quality of the work and the amazing customer service. When we started the project, we knew we wanted certain key items, but we really did not know what was possible. Dave Lunden worked with us and our architect to create an addition that was everything we wanted and so much more. Once the plans were finalized, the Timberlake team took the time to plan out the construction process so that it was smooth and efficient. Our construction manager, Dave Lusby, was amazing. He kept us up- to-date on everything, and he was incredibly patient with us, despite our many question (and a few changes). He was meticulous about every detail, and the result is just beautiful. Timberlake built one of their models on my raw acre lot near Washington, DC. They navigated the taxing permitting process expertly, cutting down the wait substantially. They lined up outstanding subcontractors and often several trades worked on the home at the same time with effective supervision. We had a horrible experience building on our lot with a previous builder. We were in danger of potentially losing everything and needed to figure out something quick. Then, Timberlake Homes BT and Dave Lunden swooped in to save the day! Timberlake Homes BT is the best local custom builder in the DMV. Their craftsmanship is great, the timing in which they move through the building process is awesome, their customer service is everything!

If we had to do it over again, we would choose Timberlake Homes a second time. From the beginning they were very transparent. They are very accomodating and here to give you the beat product and give you what you want. Qhat surprised me was they have an interior decorator on staff to wall you through design choice selection. This is the same person that designs and stages their models. If you love the models then youre in for a real treat with her walling you throuhh your options. With the departure of my original project manager, his replacement was just as great. Regina jumped in and took the reins as if she was there from the beginning. Once construction started Danny worked his magic. They kept us informed every stwp of the way. Any questions or issues that came up they both were eager to address and answer. Even after we have been in the house they are there for us. You won't be disappointed if you choose them. So glad that built our forever home!!

My family and I hired Timberlake Design & Build to build a home for us in 2021 and it was a great experience working with the team. It was new construction and settlement occurred in November of 2021. At that point Dave and his team were on top of things. While they worked on acquiring necessary permits, we were scheduled at the design studio. During the permitting process Dave kept us up to date on all progress, changes, revisions, and statuses. He was very honest and accurate with the timeline and approximately 3-4 months after settlement we had our preconstruction meeting and the team broke ground the first week of May. The entire construction process was transparent and efficient. Every week we received updates which is just the most refreshing practice and provided a great sense of comfort. Dave went above and beyond for us; in one instance in September as we our nearing the end, Dave updated us that BGE would not be able to install our transformer and get electricity to the house until mid October which would delay floor installation. However a week or so later, Dave contacted us, and had went to bat for us during a meeting, and within a few days we had the transformer on site and was back on schedule. That kind of dedication to your client is what makes this company unbelievably great. During the entire process, Dave Lunden and Dave Lusby were very accommodating to our additional requests and was very upfront with pricing and where we were at in the budget during construction. I also have to commend the attention to detail and picking up on issues that I honestly might never had noticed, and addressing them quickly. Overall construction moved along very quickly and we were really impressed with the progress and quality of the work. We recently received the keys and are so grateful for the efficient, detailed, and beautiful work the team has accomplished. During the 1 year follow up the team was again amazing addressing any issues we noted, and the follow up was always prompt. Highly recommend with no hesitancy, thank you again to everyone at Timberlake!

we are very happy with our Linden home. Just enough space and then some for a family of 5. Only criticism is lack of options presented for movie theater or wet bar. You really needed to come in knowing what you wanted. Otherwise we made it work with our private contractor after a few years - laundry room and movie theater and playrooms.
