I love this post office, I've had a box here for 1.5 years. The employees have worked there for a long time so I think they are a bit tired and jaded but usually you can get them to crack a smile. Plus the manager there Jacqueline is amazing, they usually have a short line, it's 2 blocks from a BART Station, and they always hold my mail for me when my box (often) overflows. The only real negative thing about the office is their hours. You can't get mail from the Po boxes after 5pm weekdays or on weekends. So, if you have a day job, it is pretty impossible to get your mail unless you go there at 7:00am when they unlock the doors. But it is nice that they hold the mail for when you can get in there.

it's a good post office. its clean and well maintained. displays are neat and clean. social distancing is in order of course. the line was long but a second postal clerk came out.
the service was prompt and friendly. I got a po box bc my mailman is does a bad job. I brought all the necessary documents,and everything was smooth, I had already bought it online. he couldn't give me the key bc the other postal worker wasn't there today, and come back monday.
all in all, its a good well managed post office.

Great experience mailing two letters, one for Father's day. Never mailed anything before, but my experience was stress free, quick, and simple. Guy/clerk at counter was really helpful and had a great attitude!

Great service everytime I go. Maybe because I go to the P.O. only 3 times a year it doesn't seem bad to me. The staff is helpful and even wrote on a package I sent to my family overseas with Xmas wishes.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about today I went there in the morning and the two ladies at work that we’re very nice professional and friendly. there was no line maybe later in the day it gets a lot busier and recommend going in the morning

These people are solid. Thanks for all the hard and friendly work even in a high-stress environment with rude, impatient patrons.

I have the utmost respect for postal workers . I believe they work hard and are not appreciated . My hats off to all of them .

Our Post Office in Downtown Oakland is awesome, fast and efficient. The staff are friendly.

It’s not a bad post office. The lines can be long, but this seems mostly due to how understaffed this location is (which I’m sure isn’t something that employees have any say in). The workers are for the most part patient and helpful. It’s not a five star place mainly because it doesn’t have a self service machine — what’s up with that? It really needs one of those huge things that let you weigh and ship your own packages that you see at other post offices, and a clearly marked drop-off point for mail so people don’t have to stand in line. There doesn’t seem to be much investment in this office from whoever the USPS higher-ups are.
