Shogun Hibachi & Sushi

Shogun Hibachi in McKinney, Texas, holds a special place in my heart as my go-to hibachi spot whenever I'm in town. With each visit, I find myself drawn back by the irresistibly delicious flavors and impeccable service. The lunch specials on weekends, especially the filet mignon with fried rice and soup, are simply phenomenal. The fried rice bursts with flavor, the filet mignon melts in your mouth, and the soup is an absolute delight. The warm greetings and excellent service only enhance the dining experience. However, what truly sets Shogun apart are the captivating hibachi shows. The talented chefs not only excel in cooking but also in performing, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the meal. Shogun Hibachi has undoubtedly earned its place as my favorite hibachi spot on the planet, and my recent two-day consecutive visits only reaffirm its excellence.

We had an amazing experience. We had out of town guests from New York, this was a crowd favorite. Wonderful performance! He made a point to wow the children, which really put them at ease, given the fire show that comes with hibachi cooking.

The scallops were HUGE as well all of the portions throughout dinner. We enjoyed steak, shrimp, scallops, calamari, and fried rice. Their finger dressing on the salad with fresh and flavorful. They also have a full drink bar and a sushi bar.

The food was great..but the portions did seem a little small. The drinks are a 10..I got the zombie and it was litttttt!

Great family friendly place and enough room to for a decent get together. Food is without a doubt A++ with big portions. Seriously they don't hold back! The bar area is excellent and separate from the hibachi tables. The bar is such a great time! 10 out 10 recommend!

Not a fan of the dark atmosphere; however the the cooking show…the seasoning “that part”👈🏾🔥🔥 the filet mignon outstanding! Chef Jonathan very personable - allowed us to taste the teriyaki “wow” taste it by itself- you get hints of flavors to savor. I would put it on everything 🤤

We shared a wonderful birthday for two friends and had a wonderful time eating the fabulous food! The strips chicken and steak fried rice and vegetables were all awesome.

This restaurant has been a McKinney staple for years. Team service is fantastic at the sushi bar and tables. Sushi is fresh, beautifully plated, and always tastes amazing. I haven't eaten hibachi here, but looking around, everyone appears to have a great time. Atmosphere is very family friendly, although I haven't taken my kids here, with a very casual vibe. Hubby and I usually spend 1.5 to 2 hours here when we dine.

Great wait staff, the food tasted fresh and flavorful. Cooked just the way you want it. Fun and cozy atmosphere. The restroom could use an update . Overall a great experience

Delicious! Great selection of high quality sushi, and classic, high-quality hibachi performance and flavor. They gave us and the couple across from us the wrong sushi orders, but corrected it by giving us fresh rolls even though we were halfway through when we realized the mistake.

Everything here is a 10/10. The service, the food, the environment. They made us feel so welcomed. Definitely coming back!

Nice place to get in quickly for a hibachi place! Chef was very friendly and entertaining to our table. The rice was so good coming fresh off the stove. Rest of the food was really good as well.

Great place!!! Great ownership. The atmosphere is like a friendly bar and grill / Great Japanese food restaurant. Its also kind of like Cheers. Everyone is very friendly.

as an 11 year old boy i absolutely loved this place 10/10 would recommend to people around the world. the staff was wonderful and so was the food. if you want a great party definitely come here. :)

Always fun and yummy ! I only wish i didn’t need to share the table with other people as they can ruin the experience but that’s not the restaurants fault , it’s the nature of hibachi
