Canyon Oaks Pools is fantastic! Our pool was originally started by another builder (supposedly largest pool builder in the world) but after 18 months of delays and excuses the previous builder abandoned the job with no notification. Canyon Oaks Pools came in and finished the pool quickly (pool was only about halfway finished). They provided great communications, exceptional work/quality and expert advise. They are true professionals who are an expert pool builder who cares about their customers/clients!

After researching and receiving several quotes, we made the decision to have Canyon Oak Pools build our pool. They not only met our expectations but exceeded them on every detail. Larry and Susan (the owners) were on-site to oversee every milestone of the build to ensure it was up to their standards. From the first dig until the first swim was 28 days, even with an addition to the contract for a retaining wall. We now have a beautiful space for our entire family to enjoy. Cannot recommend them enough. The entire team is absolutely wonderful.

If I could leave an infinite amount of stars for this review I would. Being a first time pool owner comes with a lot of anxiety and stress. You hear so many horror stories of people getting left with a hole in their yard due to their pool builder not being able to finish, among other issues. We had 11 different pool builders give us a quote. However, when Mike with Canyon Oak Pools stepped foot in our backyard we instantly clicked and it just felt right to choose them! We are so happy we chose Canyon Oak Pools, they made us feel like part of their family. I really loved that Larry (owner) was on-site a lot. Tyler (project manager) texted me with weekly updates along with Kristen, and addressed any questions or concerns at any time of the day. Susan was also a text or call away! Our pool was finished in 30 days which was AMAZING! We had some issues with our spa tile which was addressed immediately and fixed within 2 days! We absolutely love our pool and the memories we are creating. I know that the Canyon Oak Pools team will always be around to support their clients and continue to treat each client like family! We interviewed 11 pool companies this past year! We heard horror stories from our neighbors, and we wanted to avoid it. I called Canyon Oaks pool and met with Mike. We began to build a working relationship and very early on, we realized this company wasn’t like every other pool company. We contracted with them and begin designing our pool.
The unique thing about this company is that the owners, Larry and Susan are staples on site, overseeing every step of the process. They have built pools for over 30 years and the quality is second to none. During the inspection, the gentleman told me this is one of the best build pools he’s ever seen.
We are so happy with the pool & process. They are amazing and we are so thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with them!

There are not enough starts... I would rate this company and our experience building our backyard oasis with them, with 200 hundred stars! They are everything you want in a builder! They listened to what we wanted and help us figure out how to make it a reality. They are honest, they stayed in contact with us every step of the way, they handled obstacles in the build process professionally and personally with us. We told them up front we were more concerned with doing it right then we were with doing it fast. Well they did both, the quality of our finished product is amazing and they did it faster than we thought it could be done. Larry and Susan are the real deal. Larry has the experience and knowledge to build pools the right way regardless of your situation. And Susan, along with the rest of the Canyon Oak Pools team will do everything possible to make your project special. Spending a lot of money on a large investment like this is usually painful. The Canyon Oak Pools team goes above and beyond to make sure your vision becomes a reality. They are great at keeping constant communication and answering any of your questions thoroughly and quickly. Mike was fantastic at making sure every detail was perfect in the pool design process and Larry was hands-on throughout the building process which was so fast thanks to their great scheduling and contractors! We are in the final stages of our pool build with Canyon Oaks and we’ve really enjoyed working with them thus far. We were nervous after all the bad experiences we’ve heard about people having when building a pool, so we made sure to do our research, read reviews and get multiple quotes before deciding on a company for our build. From the 1st phone call my husband had with Susan, the owner, we knew we liked them. She was a wealth of knowledge and was so helpful when entertaining all of our initial questions. They worked within our budget, they included our kids on dig day (definitely a memory they’ll never forget!), and the communication has been great. They’ve included us every step of the way so we knew what was happening and when. They knew it was a goal of ours to have the pool done by our sons 11th birthday, and it came down to the wire, even weather delays, but they made it happen and we got to swim on his birthday! If we had a problem, or questions about something, they were quick to respond and address it.
They are a small, family owned company so you get that “personal touch” that you don’t get with many other companies. We never felt like just another # among the hundreds of other clients. All of the contractors who’ve come out on their behalf have been on time, pleasant, hard working and respectful. While we are still in the final stages of our build, we can say we’ve thoroughly enjoyed Canyon Oaks and would 100% recommend them to family and friends. Remember when making this kind of investment- who you build with matters- and we are so thankful we chose Canyon Oak!

From the first consultation with Canyon Oak’s David Maia, we knew we were in good hands. In his initial consultation, rather than “selling,” David was informative, responsive and helpful—he even alerted us to potential permitting issues with our powerlines and fence that other consultants did not even mention, and proposed solutions to get us back on track. In the end, David’s diligence allowed us to create and achieve a realistic budget.

Canyon Oak’s Larry Parnell kept in constant communication throughout the building process—which only took 35 days from breaking ground to swimming! He was so experienced, proactive and responsive so that we never felt that we had to worry about what came next. Throughout the process, Larry and his wife Susan were so friendly! They stopped by often to check in on the project and make sure we were satisfied with every aspect. Susan even brought us homemade food for our dogs, Teddy and Bear!

At the end of our project, Canyon Oak’s Kristen Wilson and Ryan Curtis explained everything we needed to know about taking care of our pool as a part of Canyon Oak’s “Pool School,” which made transitioning to pool ownership a breeze.

After a couple early summer months getting quotes and designs from a number of builders in the area, Canyon Oak rose to the top. David(designer), and Larry(owner) both answered questions and went above and beyond with each revision of the design. We got everything we wanted and more, at a price that was comfortably in our budget, and a better pool for our money than all the other designs. We never felt talked down to or misled, we just felt like we were getting questions answered by designers and builders who knew exactly what they were doing.

The build process itself broke ground July 5th 2022, and we were filling with water Sept 9th, 2022, outpacing many of even the conservative estimates. Each step of the build flowed quickly and easily into the next, with Larry keeping us informed and answering questions and visiting the build each step of the way.

We recommend Canyon Oak to prospective pool buyers whole heartedly. They will take great care of you and build you a pool you will love, with the friendliness and respect that you always hope to get from a family owned business.

If you’re looking for a pool this new year I highly recommend Canyon Oak Pools! They did a fabulous job! They built our pool in about 5 weeks, which is amazing and unheard of!
They would come by just about everyday to keep an eye on the process. If we had any problems or questions they were quick to get them fixed/answered. They are the sweetest work family you could work with. I ended up being on maternity leave the entire process so I can say first hand they are present. The contractors and subs worked effectively and efficiently. They kept our back porch clean and functional. Overall we were very pleased.
Also, their swag bag/goodie bag/merchandise is on point! The beach towels are amazing!!
If you’re on the fence about building in the winter don’t be! We started in October and was using it by November. Someone’s been in it just about everyday since. The kids have even tested the slide out already!
Everything is ran from an app. The app is super easy to use! Our favorite part is being able to heat up the hot tub no matter were we are. Then it’s ready to use when we get home.

Canyon Oak Pools designed and built a pool in my backyard. They were amazing to work with. Mike Woodfin helped me design the perfect pool for my backyard. He submitted the plans to the. City for permits and kept me in the loop throughout the process.
Larry and Susan Parnell were on site during the build and quickly responded to any questions I had. The pool was completed in a manner of weeks, rather than months.

As we all know, any construction job comes with its own set of challenges. In my opinion, what sets a company aside from others is how they handle the unexpected. Canyon Oak handled our project for our pool, decking, landscaping, and structure with grace and professionalism. Susan, Larry, and Kristen all went above and beyond from day one ensuring we were more than aware of the current and future milestones. If I had to re-do it all over again.. I totally would! I appreciate that seeing ONLY five-star reviews with a company may have you a bit skeptical… because what contracting company really provides THAT level of service? Well, I could tell from my very first interactions with Susan & Mike that this company really DOES have your best interest at heart. Putting in a pool truly is a HUGE undertaking, with a lot of details, with many moving parts. And Canyon Oak was so flexible & easy to work with as we navigated twists & turns that naturally come up in the process. I personally tend to be very picky & detail oriented, and not once did they question it as they honored each request & addition.

In each step of the process, I truly felt supported & heard from my sales meetings with Mike, to construction with Larry, support with Susan, fix-its with Tyler, and Kristen wrapping up the final punch list. They ALL went above & beyond especially when my landscaper left me high and flooded. The jumped-in to rectify the situation by installing proper drainage to correct improper landscaping install.

I truly am SO grateful that I found them, the customer service really is five stars. If I could build 100 pools with them, I would. You truly don’t have to look any further for a pool company, but don’t take my word for it, just give them a call & find out for yourself!

Despite encountering delays due to inclement weather in January, within a mere seven weeks from the initial excavation, Canyon Oaks had completed the project and handed over the keys to our pristine new pool. My wife and I decided to get a pool this year and the salesman was the most knowledgeable of all the pool companies we reached out to. He was able to answer all our technical questions on the spot and was responsive to all our design changes.

Once construction started, we were given timelines as to when each phase of construction would start, and these timelines were followed, barring weather issues. Any questions during construction about the how's and why's we had were promptly answered.

The quality of the work was amazing. They even think of the little things that makes life easier, like drains in the decking and empty PVC that goes under the decking for future projects.

It was clear that the crews they brought in to do the work knew what they were doing and were proud of their work, especially their stone masons. They are truly skilled in hand cutting rock.

The owners are wonderful people that are always willing to answer questions or stop by if you have questions. It's clear they have a passion for what they do and they want you to have a pool that you will enjoy and be proud of.
