Outer Banks Sport Club

This is a great gym! While we lived here we went to this gym almost every day. We moved out of the area but will definitely use this gym again when we vacation here or if we move back. The staff are helpful and friendly. The bathrooms and gym area are clean and the bathrooms always have soap, lotion, etc. The sauna works great and there have been many times I’ve been the only one in there. The gym equipment is in good condition and if something happens to break it is fixed promptly. There are also a lot of machines so I hardly ever have to wait to use a machine I want. I feel like this gym cares about its members. I highly recommend this club to locals and vacationers alike!

Had the pleasure of visiting the OBX Sports club twice this past weekend while on vacation. Easy to find location, ample parking and affordable day passes for what the gym offers (around $20-$25 a day). Equipment is updated and well maintained (nothing was out of order) 3 separate cross cable tower pairs (2 more individual on the ends) dumbbells up to 150 or so and clean locker room with a WORKING sauna (very rare from my experiences). On top of that, they feature a separate cardio room away from the weight floor and even a ‘fitness / yoga room’ off to the side. Gym etiquette was impressive by the other patrons even at 4 pm on a Friday. I can’t wait to make the trip back!

I've been to 100+ gyms and this is in my top 3. All the equipment you need and none that you do not. Never had to wait for squat rack, plenty of dumbells, barbells, and cardio equipment. I've never seen broken equipment, they have a sauna, nice selection of machines, plenty of cables. It's always clean, great temperature and ventilation, plenty of parking, staff are friendly, water fountain always works and is good temp. Even the music played is great. Wish I could stay longer than a month - worth every penny.

Best gym in OBX. Lots of weight options, people are nice, place stays clean.

Sauna is nice and hot.

Overall such a good value for residents of OBX

This gym is everything you need and nothing you don't. Great equipment, incredibly friendly and welcoming community. As a certified trainer and someone who has been to gyms around the country the atmosphere in obx sports club it top tier!

I have been coming here for many years to the OBX. This is by far the cleanest, highest quality and greatest gym atmosphere you will find. I have been here for a week and had a great experience every day. Couldn’t recommend OBX Sports club more!

Pricey for a one day pass but great rates for monthly or annual, amazing supply of T-shirts and bling and a truly great gym. Worth the day pass fee! Stairmasters, a versa climber, free weights, benches, you name it! It's here!

Super friendly & helpful staff. Tons of good equipment. Plenty of barbells, as well as dumbbells and machines. It's a little crowded early - presumably because it's so well put together. I didn't go late in the day so no idea what it's like then. There are so many machines & so much equipment that it's a little congested at the busy times. This isn't an actual problem but if you hate crowds go at a slow time.

I bought a one week pass & went 5 days while visiting Nags Head. A member of the staff mentioned that they're renovating & expanding the building's footprint in the next year. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the Outer Banks.

Short story... Excellent! Great selection of free weights and machines. Upstairs treadmill/elliptical cardio area, if that's your thing. Just opted for a day pass($$$) week passes available as well. Atmosphere is welcoming, work-oriented, clean, etc. This hits all the metrics for a quality small scale gym. Friendly staff and lastly clean seemingly safe locker rooms. A+++ from this guy. With only caveat being cost.

CLEAN,CLEAN,CLEAN !! This gym is by FAR the best on the beach. A ton of great equipment. Free weights, 3 squat racks and 2 smith machines.
The cardio floor has every cardio machine you can think of. I've also taken some of the classes which were challenging.
Staff is really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nice locker room with showers, sauna, towel service and tanning bed.

They have it all. Reasonable weekly pass. Great apparel selection. Great workout atmosphere. Love the motivation murals. Great selection of equipment. Looking forward to going back if on obx!

A damn good gym for body builders and weight lifters. Not so much power lifting. The dumbbells go up to 150 lbs. And the playlist has all the best hits from the 90s, 00s and 10s.

Best gym ever! They have a great variety of equipment, and the place is always clean. Plus, the staff is beyond friendly and welcoming!!

This gym is the best gym I’ve ever been to! It has every machine I needed and more. The equipment is always clean and there is cleaning supplies provided for after you use a machine. The staff is friendly and there’s always great music playing! The perfect spot to go on vacation or long-term, 11/10

Being the gym rat I am, the first thing I did when I booked our obx vacation was look for a nearby gym. There were only a few to choose from but this one seemed to be the best for weight training.

When I arrived I paid $65 for a week through the app (there’s a discount if you pay through the app and not at the gym). Been going there every day since.

The gym has a lot of equipment - squat racks, smith machines, cable towers, free weights, and machines for upper and lower body work. It’s clean and well maintained. The bathrooms/locker rooms are really nice!! So clean and spacious. There’s a sauna and a tanning bed. They offer classes too though I haven’t checked them out.

Overall this is a great gym. I do wish there were more leg/glute machines, but I’m also very spoiled with a huge selection at my home gym.

This is the only gym I’ll go to when I come to obx.

The coaches at Outer Banks Sport Club are highly skilled and passionate about what they do. They provide excellent guidance and support. I loose my weight very quickly in a healthy way as they guide me.

Great gym. Mixes old school with new school equipment. Everybody is really nice. Oh and the spray to wipe down the equipment smells terrific. ☺

Great Gym! All the equipment and space you need. Clean! Helpful, personable staff. And dance music last Saturday. :D
