Bistro 214

Dinner was amazing! Guitar soloist entertained the lovely bistro. The pistachio encrusted halibut was delicious. I had them substitute rice for mixed vegetables. The portion was generous! We also had the strip with green beans and whipped potatoes. Best meal we have had in Shelby in sometime. The atmosphere was busting but not overcrowded. Will go back more often!

A very upscale restaurant with a cool vibe. Loved the food and the portions are well worth the price.

This place was INCREDIBLE!! I have been to a lot of the high end places in Charlotte (Beef n Bottle, Ruth's Chris, etc) and my partner and I agreed this was the best steak we have ever had in our lives!!

We started with the mushroom tart and it was amazing - flaky pastry, savory mushrooms, gooey cheese, basically everything you could want in an appetizer. We both ordered the ribeye special, it came with asparagus and mashed potatoes, but I subbed mine for the potato croquette. The steak was literally the best steak I've ever had in my life, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned... Yum. Even the side items were amazing, which often isn't the case. The asparagus was also well seasoned and charred perfectly and the croquette was crispy and delicious.

We ended up each getting a dessert (we took half of the steaks and potatoes home - it was even amazing heated up for lunch the next day!) He got the chocolate cake and I got the creme brulee. Perfect, perfect end to one of the best meals in my life

Absolutely incredible. Our group had a mix of various things off the menu. Shrimp cocktail, potstickers, salmon cakes, trout w/ sweet potato hash, sea bass, and the ribeye. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We did not have any cocktails, but they looked great from the other people ordering them.

Great food, service, and a decent wine list that isn't just glorified grocery store stuff. Was our first time there, so my wife and I both had fillets, and they were fine. Recommend the fried oyster salad. We'll be back as soon as we can find a sitter...

I would walk 500 miles, then I would walk 500 more......just for these lamb chops 😂

We always enjoy dining at Bistro 214. Food is great and the service is excellent. We only go about once a month but they always know us and what we like before we even have to ask.

One of the best meals we’ve had anywhere in a long time!!! Amazing flavors in the goat cheese salad, filet, and chicken dishes. The bananas foster dessert is beyond words!!!!!!

Great meal and atmosphere. Look forward to returning for dinner again!

Deliscous! Highly recommend. Service was friendly and attentive. My water glass was never empty, and our orders came out perfect. The fresh bread is a must! Wine selection is great. Food had an abundance of flavor. The style and the location of the restaurant feels cozy and relaxing yet high class. Come early or make sure you call ahead for a reservation.

I ordered the bronzini which came with green beans and potatoes. The bronzini was FANTASTIC, the green beans were very flavorful and cooked very well, but the potatoes on the other hand were just okay. Either way, I definitely recommend this location as the service was great!

Our dinner was absolutely outstanding!! What a fantastic hidden gem!!! Delicious, and the wait staff was excellent, plus beautiful ambiance!! Loved it!

Above and beyond for the area and most large cities. Food was amazing as well as the service. The main course was exceptional but the dessert was so good you forget how full you were. I had the filet mignon and tried the trout and salmon my friends got. All so very good.

The food is great and they always have some unique and delicious specials. The menu offers a diverse fusion of cuisines from high quality steaks, seafood, Asian influence, southern, and soul. The wine selection is also pretty good! The prices are very fair and while one can easily spend $100 here in one outing, you can also enjoy a great meal for $20 or $30.

This place really is a hidden gem and one of the best restaurants not just in Shelby but in the region.

I recently stopped in on a beautiful Friday evening in downtown Shelby after a charity event at Deerbrook Golf Club. I was immediately seated at the bar in a sparsely populated dining room. I ordered a fried oyster salad and a fish plate with vegetable medley as the side. It was one of the best meals I have eaten in awhile! Great atmosphere and helpful staff. Limited wine and beer options

Good food, nice atmosphere. Early bird special is great for the filet.

We had dinner here on March 24, 2023. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable. When in Shelby, we will visit again.
