We had a great time at the restaurant. It was a pleasure meeting chef. Think about our request to open in Las Vegas. We had the all-in-one platter. Loved it!!

This place was great. I loved the pulled pork sandwich. It was flavorful and smoky and didn’t really need bbq sauce. The curly fries were great too. My friend had the beef brisket and said it was the best he ever had.

The store ambiance was great too. It had all kinds of wood-themed decorations. Seems like a great place to grab a drink as well.

If you like bbq, add this local bar to your list to visit for smoked meat or drinks.

You would be hard pressed to find a better BBQ place in the city, possibly even the bay area. The food and drinks are truly on another level. Try literally anything on their "from the smoker" menu and you'll be golden, but my favorite is the catfish. They have a deep understanding of flavor to the point that the dishes are fantastic even without the sauces that elevate things even more.

Was very surprised at how good the bbq is here. Brisket is one of the best I’ve had in SF (yes, I know). Great ribs and riblits.

I keep coming back because my kid begs for their curly fries. A rare queso sighting as well.

I have finally found a place that knows how to make brisket properly! I've wasted about a hundred bucks on brisket at various places over the last 6 months desperate to find somewhere that has delicious brisket. It was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back and order a half pound or a full pound.

I was visiting my pal'et Squeaky and her squeeze the Big Banana at their home on Columbus Square and they had some BBQ delivered from The Hardwood Bar & Smokery from just a couple of blocks away. It's now my favorite BBQ place in the city! This joint is true BBQ, cooked with low temperatures and smoke from select hardwoods. The ribs were amazing!

Hardwood BBQ is a hidden gem in San Francisco, surpassing expectations in every aspect. Their Pork Tips are literally insane. While San Francisco's indoor smoking laws have hindered the BBQ scene, Hardwood rises above, showcasing a Texas-worthy dedication to their craft. Their unique use of white cedar wood imbues meats with an incomparable flavor, solidifying their position as the city's supreme destination for smoked meats. Kudos to the owners and staff for their unwavering dedication to excellence.

A real solid Smokehouse! One of the best places in SF to get American BBQ. Let’s start with the meat, the ribs were perfect. Tender and sweet but not too sweet with the perfect amount of char. The brisket had a lot of flavor and the chicken was handled really well. Top notch stuff so far. Now let’s not forget what every good BBQ needs, sides. The curly fries were good and the Mac salad was even better. They had some very nice baked beans and also some fantastic pickles. This place has some big portion combo options which makes it perfect for large groups. If your a BBQ fan Harwood is a must try, bottom line. Dos BBQs up 🍖🍖

I've been here a few times now, and it's never disappointed! The food is really good! The beef brisket is my absolute favorite. The pulled pork is super delicious. Service has always been fast and friendly!

Shared a Caesar salad, the smoked BBQ platter, chicken wings and a coleslaw. Everything was fantastic! 👍

My favorite was the ribs. Very tasty with a surprisingly sweetness to the rib. I could have eaten a whole plate of the ribs. The chicken, sausage and brisket were all delicious. Would have been super happy with a plate of any of those meats.

🍻 selection is very good. Lots of options on tap. Service was great. Super nice people. Place was crowded because of the warrior game. But staff still was unbelievable. Definitely would come back again!

Awesome place for group events or 1-on-1s. Food and service are excellent! Albert L. and his team are very friendly and efficiently to help me to plan my corporate lunch event.
I will come back to visit again.

This place is the TRUTH. The meats were all perfectly cooked, and delicious. The sauces were other-worldly in their excellence, drinks were tasty, and service was great. I want to go hide in the walk in and set up a little tent inside and become a squatter in this establishment so I can eat this food constantly. Its insanely dank. You gotta eat here forreal.

The pulled pork was delicious! The fried wings were great too - and being able to pick your or sauce from their house made choices made them even better. You gotta go!!

The BBQ here is legit. And the potato salad and greens were flavorful and seasoned real well. I love the mustard BBQ sauce. I wish they served Mac and cheese and baked beans. Those are BBQ side classics they are missing. 4.75 stars

Excellent cocktails, friendly service, and great BBQ! The pulled pork and ribs were excellent. The side salad was super fresh, coleslaw was crisp, refreshing, and balanced and veggies were super vibrant. Love that it wasn’t super sweet or drowned in mayo. Corn muffin was excellent…also love that it wasn’t sweet. Most BBQ places go overboard on sugar but everything here avoided that. 👍 The beans had lots of veggies. Flavor was good but could have used a tad bit of salt for our preference. Lots of street parking when we were there on a Sat at noon…no game at that time. My basil gimlets were balanced and flavorful and went down way too easy.

Coming in from out of town and a friend and I were recommended to give this a try and it was great! This would definitely be a regular stop if I was in the area. Bartender was very nice and made a great old fashioned. Bbq ribs and their sauce were fantastic, not too dry and a good amount of meat. (Curly fries are a must)

Love it! Brisket is one of the best I've had in SF. Adding coleslaw on the side was definitely great choice because it balance out heavy meat and beer. I would like to try other choices in the next visit.

I came here with a group of 15 and was so grateful they could accommodate us on short notice. The service was quick and excellent despite the size of our group and the food was great. A coworker said the BBQ pork was the best she’s had in her life. I had the chicken and it was good. Margaritas were also tasty.
