Wanted to leave positive feedback for James. The guy knows his stuff and is super fun to chat with. I always appreciate the business owners who know the scene well enough to get your tastes right. Def recommend checking out the space. Cheers!

What a great comic book shop. The owner was born for this job. Incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. I was looking for something for my kid and next thing I know I have a dozen options from around the store to take a look at.

He was also able to order a comic that didn’t have in stock for me. Great shop to have in the neighborhood.

This shop is so cool! The toilet seats are worth visiting for alone! The owner gave us some really great recommendations about the area as tourists new to the city - thank you!

I was just by the store today. James was exactly who I expected. He had some great stories, he knew quite a lot of UK, European and of course US comics. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you as a guest in UK or Denmark

Hands down my favorite comic book store. I live in Boston but make a point of visiting every time I’m in town because the recommendations are consistently off the charts and it’s just really fun to chat with the staff & regulars about what they’re reading and what they’re passionate about. Lovingly curated selection and I always come out with both what I went in for and unexpected gems, some of which have changed the trajectory of my tastes in the best way.

It's a small shop, but great atmosphere
Owner is very nice and helpful. They have a good selection.

Bought the first issue of invincible. Turns out the owner was the inspiration for the character isotope (iykyk).

I'm in town, visiting from Vancouver (BC) for work, and just had to get to a comic shop. Isotope has great reviews, and oh man, they aren't kidding. Excellent selection, and a fantastic balance between superheroes and everything else, rather than the usual 2/3-1/3 or fewer stock. My taste in graphic novels is pretty specific (was once informed by a hometown comic shop owner that my taste was "too niche-y" and promptly abandoned/ignored), and I've often been met with the cold indifference and other challenges facing females in stores primarily frequented by males, so I tend to feel wary in new shops. NOT THE CASE here! The excitement and enthusiasm that I received over my reading choices was immediately contagious, and only grew as volume after volume were brought out for me to peruse. Not only did I come away with six new series I'm thrilled to start, but I also logged another half dozen for future orders. I seriously wish this was my local shop; if you're in the SF area, you are so lucky. Go give them your business right now!

The best comic book store in the whole f* world! James is the best curator. Just give him a random topic or comic genre you like and let him do his magic for you. ;-)

Astounding. Incredible. Amazing!

This shop is one of the finest I’ve been to, setting the bar for your local Comic Book Store. The selection of standard covers and variants (both of the Big 2 and Indie’s), paired with a healthy amount of TPB’s and omnibuses, make for this to be a must-see SF nerd paradise.

Also, if you’ve read any comic in the last 20 years, you NEED to visit this shop for the comic artist toilet seat covers. They’re fun, personal, and are a tribute to its generous and collaborative owner. Who knew a West Coast David Byrne owned a comic book store?

I’ll be coming back here for any and every future SF visit.

Took someone special here and we had a great experience! The decorations were very zany and the collection was just as great. The owner is very cool and I appreciate his values/passion regarding comics. I was astounded by the super fair prices too!

Such a friendly and open vibe. The owner made us feel like old friends exchanging stories and talking comics.

Their toilet seat gallery is something to see

This is the ultimate cultural oasis in sf. Got in depth explanations of namor and other quirky aspects of the extended universe to connect the dots on some things I'm learning about. Hope to get some transformers books in to soon! Thank you so much this made my trip!

I come here every time I travel across the country to the bay area. It is an amazing place. The proprietor James Sime loves the magic of the comic book medium and wants to share it with you. He deeply cares about everyone who walks into his door wanting to read something better and will talk to you, get to know you so that he can custom tailor reccomendations on an individual level. He will then share suggestions for things to enjoy around the bay area based on your interests because now he knows you and wants you to love what makes the city beautiful in a way that is perfect for you the person reading this who will be lucky enough to walk in to his shop.

I’ve been wanting to transition from MCU to marvel comics but there’s too much info on the internet and I was overwhelmed about where to start. I’ve been picking up 2022 Daredevil issues from Isotope and James recommended me some reading orders to catch up on old stuff so I can better understand this new run. I’m so excited and everyone should talk to him!!

Love Isotope! I've visited four times now and find something amazing every time. The collection is super diverse, and there's something for everyone. I've sent 4 of my friends here and they've all found something they love thanks to the owner, James, who has excellent suggestions.

Decided to stop by as I had some down time and was in the area. I was very impressed to say the least. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff. Told the man working there my favorite comic series and general vibe I enjoyed in comics and he quickly picked out ten books for me. I’ve only read one of the five he recommended so far, but I can say with certainty that it hits the exact spot I go for in comics.

The woman working here was extremely friendly and helpful! Came in with my wife and she helped me through different genres and ultimately helped me find the perfect comics I didn’t even know I was looking for. It was really refreshing after most comic store staffs having little more to offer than some vague recommendations. She really knew her stuff and it made me really appreciate the store and the comic enthusiast culture!

I don’t usually read comics myself but I stopped by after a long day because I happened to be in the area. I met James and he was such a warm and inviting person! We talked all about the store and the art within it. I loved the place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something new to read :)

I love this comic shop so much! Huge selection and always fully stocked with current single issues and volumes. And great prices! The owner/operator James is super nice and always conversational. Pick his brain about any comic you've read or want to read. Even ask him for suggestions. He's friendly and always willing to help.
Great prices, awesome selection and awesome management.
10/10 would shop again!
